"Truths, Lies, and Alibies" by eternally Addicted 0

(banner made by Jaime)

Bella Swan is one of the best in her field: a first-class FBI profiler, who seems to be able to read people's minds like no other. What hardly anyone knows is that Bella is gifted. Just like her grandmother, she is able to sense people's feelings and emotions and can tell right away when someone is lying or purposely omitting important information. It is exactly what helped her bring serial killer James Reynolds behind bars, yet also what will change her life irrevocably. Because not long after Reynolds goes to prison, Bella begins to receive mysterious packages: apples with little "love notes". To her supervisor Emmett McCarty it becomes clear right away that the "gifts" must have been sent by Reynolds through an accomplice and he thinks Bella to be in grave danger. He is able to convince her to stay with her grandmother in Capri, Italy, for a couple of weeks until he manages to solve the problem. To make absolutely sure that Bella is protected, Emmett sends his old friend Edward Cullen, former soldier in the Army and now specialized in security, to keep an eye on her, but refrains from telling Bella...

And so, together with his best friend Jasper Whitlock, Edward flies to Capri and starts watching Bella. Though he knows he should keep a professional distance, one look at her is enough to put a spell on him. Edward is absolutely mesmerized by the brunette beauty living with her grandmother and cannot for the life of him stay away from her. So he approaches her on the beach and what follows are romantic and very intense days. Bella confides in Edward with regards to her gift and also admits that, for whatever reason, she is unable to read him. He takes in her confession in a stride and the two get closer and closer. However, when Bella finds a package of apples at her gran's house, their bubble bursts and all three have to fly back to Seattle. It is then that Bella starts doubting Edward's intentions and cannot ignore the coincidence that the hideout is "found" just shortly after she met the bronze-haired adonis. Is he the accomplice of James Reynolds?

In this story, the author takes the gift that was originally assigned to Jasper in the books and hands it over to Bella. However, the fact that, for the first time in her life, she meets someone, whose emotions she cannot make out, resembles Edward's situation in Stephenie Meyer's vampire series. The Bella in Truth, Lies, and Alibies has always relied on her gift (even though she's condemned it for the majority of her life) and has difficulties dealing with the fact that she now has to rely on her instincts and her instincts alone. She needs to trust Edward and her colleagues, something that doesn't come easily to her. She feels drawn to Edward yet doesn't know what's right and wrong. Her struggle to find a way to deal with the situation takes over a good part of the story. The rest is dedicated to hunting the bad guy, something that is cleverly written and quite suspenseful. Edward's character is very sweet and protective and doesn't hesitate to openly show the affections (and possessiveness) he feels towards Bella. The story is written from both Bella and Edward's POV and has some nice, though not overly graphic lemons. It's a good, long read!

Truth, Lies, and Alibies consists of 32 chapters and a total of 291,022 words. The story is rated MA for violence, foul language, and sexual content.

"Agent 00hot" by maxandmo 0

(banner made by Jaime)

On a night-out with her new colleagues, Parole Officer Bella Swan meets FBI agent Edward Cullen. Though she feels drawn to him right away and he seems to be intrigued as well, Bella is certain that a man of Edward's caliber would never be interested in a plain Jane like her. Edward is the epitome of manliness, he wears trendy clothes, has perfectly styled hair, and oozes sex appeal. In a nutshell, he is a living and breathing adonis, while she is nothing but average. What Bella doesn't know is that Edward considers the beautiful brunette anything but plain and cannot seem to get her out of his head. Too bad that he is still in a relationship with Tanya. A relationship that he knows will never have a future, but a relationship nonetheless. Still, he cannot ignore the... feelings he has for Bella and the fact that he keeps running into her doesn't help a bit. And so he gets in a lot of trouble when he screams out the name of the wonderful woman with the chocolate-colored eyes while sleeping with Tanya...

Though Edward can somehow save the day by quickly coming up with a lie, the moment Tanya sees him and Bella at a bar, things get out of control. Bella is heartbroken that the man who had just pressed his body as close to hers as possible while dancing and had kissed the hell out of her hours before, is actually involved with someone else. As she already harbors deep feelings for him, she goes home more than hurt and disappointed, wallowing in her self-pity. That is, until her wonderful friends Rose and Alice tell her what happened after she left the bar...

Yes, the story might not have the most brilliant title, and I admit that this was exactly what kept me from reading it in the beginning, but I promise you the plot is incredibly funny and suspensful! But first, let me say a few things about Edward, who, in the beginning of this story, is nothing short of a cocky and arrogant bastard. He calls himself a metrosexual for a good reason as he more than cares about the way he looks (that includes well-shaped eyebrows) Just picture him as a mixture of David Beckam and Jonathan Rhys Meyers - impeccably dress yet probably too hot for your own good. Being with Bella changes that, however, and to his defense it needs to be said that he is also a very good agent (something that will become clear towards the end of the story when the plot thickens). He and Bella share a love for the justice system, Harleys, and the Mariners, and soon come to a place in their relationship where there is no going back. The story is written from both character's POV and includes some nice lemons! Oh, and you will probably pi** yourselves laughing over Bella's bed luck and clumsiness, not to mention Edward's crazy mother Esme - it's hilarious, guys, trust me with this!

Agent 00hot consists of 38 chapters and a total of 127,833 words. The story is rated M for lemons and foul language.

"If Looks Could Kill" by Robshandmonkey 0

Posted by Anonymous

Probation officer Edward Cullen is asked to take on a particularly important and well-known case: the one of Isabella Swan. At only 18 years old, the young girl has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to five years - on probation. When Edward meets her for the first time, he finds an outstandingly beautiful yet very angry young girl, who seems to have a weird fascination with his crotch. He begins scheduling regular sessions with her, tries talking to her about her past - especially the death of her best friend Jessica that she is said to be responsible for - and asks her to write in a journal. Soon, Edward realizes that Bella is harboring a lot of secrets and that she is also more than reluctant to discuss that fateful night with him. While doing some digging on his own, the bronze-haired man stumbles up a number of inconsistencies in Bella's case file. Too many things just don't add up and it surprises him to see that important questions have never been asked and promising leads have never been pursued. So out of an immense need to help this broken woman, Edward begins investigating Bella's case while getting closer and closer to his probie in the meantime...

Except for the prologue and the last two chapters, If Looks Could Kill is completely written from Edward's point of view. The reader follows his every step as he virtually starts reopening Bella's case. Together with his good friend Jasper as well as his cousin Emmett, Edward collects more and more evidence that prove Bella's innocence. He is smart, witty, and has totally fallen for Bella the minute he sees her. Yet, as he is a) her probation officer and b) well aware of how broken she is, the 27-year old man keeps his distance... somewhat. The lemons in this story, though rather graphic and wonderful to read, come very late, so expect a lot of UST - especially from Edward's part. You will also find a number of typos here and there, but I can assure you that they won't bother you too much. This is a wonderful crime fanfic with a sexy Edward and a snarky Bella! Enjoy!

If Looks Could Kill consists of 27 chapters and 54,956 words. The story is rated M for some angst, profanities, and lemons.

"Protection Plan" by WeeKittyAndTAT 2

(banner made by time_lights)

Growing up with parents who couldn't have cared less about their children, much less about each other, Edward never learned to believe in love or long-lasting relationships. The only connection he ever really felt to another person was to his sister Elizabeth, who raised him single-handedly, even though she was only 15 when their parents left the two of them to themselves. When said parents were found dead, Edward and his sister were adopted by Carlisle Cullen and his young wife Tanya and lived with them until a severe breach of trust broke them apart. Elizabeth met and married the wrong man, who began abusing her and the baby they had together. Completely losing her way, Elizabeth ended up a drug-addicted prostitute, who was brutally murdered by her husband. With the latter rotting in jail for at least ten years, Edward took over custody of his nephew Greg and basically became his father.

Now, a few years later, Edward works as a police officer at the Rock Island Police Department and prepares his son for his first day in kindergarten. He notices that a young couple has moved into the house next door and is later introduced to beautiful and shy Bella Newton, one of Greg's new kindergarten teachers. Bella seems incredibly reclusive and always wears clothes that were in fashion decades ago and are too wide for her slim form. Soon, Edward learns that the pretty brunette is not allowed to leave her house without her husband Mike. He often hears her screams of pain and finds her hurt more than once. Believing that Mike abuses his wife, Edward makes it his mission to do everything in his power to protect the fragile little thing that is so good with Greg and that he harbors so many feelings for. But the more he gets to know Bella and Mike, the more complicated the puzzle gets that he has to solve...

Let me tell you this: in Protection Plan, nothing is as it seems. Once you think you've figured out one mystery, another one pops up and makes the whole situation even more complicated than it already is. While reading the story, you cannot help but sympathize with Edward and his urge to help Bella out of her misery, even though you can't for the life of you figure out what exactly that misery actually is. Told completely from Edward's POV, the fanfiction is characteized by a lot of suspense, some UST, and tons of questions. The latter will be answered slowly, a few in one chapter, more in the next, but you won't get the whole picture until the end. That said, Edward's desire to help Bella is very sweet and whenever the two are together, he is very tender and understanding. He is also a wonderful father and smart officer. Of all the supporting characters it is Greg and Alice who stand out the most. Honestly, I've never encountered an Alice as aggravating and nerv-racking as this one but she fits well into the story! Definitely give this fic a try if you're looking for a nice crime story!

Protection Plan consists of 10 chapters and a total of 66,334 words. The story is rated M for violence and foul language.

"Nothing to Declare" by lellabeth 0

(banner made by time_lights)

Going through security checkpoints can be hard, especially when you have piercings in places other than your ears. Bella Swan knows this more than anyone. When she's stopped and asked to go through the metal detector - again and again - the last thing she wants is a pat-down from the pimply, overeager airport worker that keeps eyeing her. After request that a female worker executes the pat-down, Bella's led to wait-in a room. Minutes pass, no one shows up, and Bella grows more and more frustrated. All she wants it to get on the plane and go see her mother. However, when the door finally opens and she hears a deep, male voice everything changes. Suddenly, Bella would love nothing more than to spend the next couple hours in the room with this incredibly attractive, strong-looking airport police officer with killer sex-hair. A couple of clarifications and sexual innuendos later, will these two strangers be able to resist the inexplicable draw they feel towards one another? For Edward, will the lines of professionalism be blurred when it comes to this snarky brunette? Will Bella be able to seduce the attractive airport worker?

If you're looking for something serious and intense, then Nothing to Declare is not for you. It's fun, lighthearted, and a good story to go to read some hot lemons. I think that's the way lellabeth intended it to be, as well. I love one-shots that feel resolved when I'm done reading them. I definitely got that feeling from Nothing to Declare. There's a billion places that this story can go, but this one-shot more than satisfies my curiosity. I think it takes true talent to make the reader feel like a one-shot is complete and there is nothing more left to tell, so kudos to lellabeth for doing just that! She's a great writer whose writing style can be characterized easy-to-read and entertaining. It's simple, not too sophisticated, yet beautiful and creative. Bella's inner monologue is always entertaining and this story includes one of the hottest, most extroverted Edwards I've read. Their chemistry is palpable from the moment they meet and lasts throughout the entire story. Light, quirky, and playful, Nothing to Declare is a breath of fresh air for those who need a break from the seriousness of life. Definitely a go-to read for the days you're feeling down!

Nothing to Declare is a one-shot and consists of 4,447 words. This story is rated MA for language and super hot lemons.

"I Never Knew" by nerac 5

Due to Bella Dwyer's OCD tendencies, change is something that she is never really able to deal with properly, no matter the circumstances. So when, one particular day, she gets a call from a certain Mr. Black from the police station in Port Angeles, telling her that her father Charlie has just passed away, she feels completely overwhelmed. First off, she has absolutely no idea who Charlie Swan is, much less that he is - or was - her father. Her parents are called Renee and Phil, so why she is listed as Charlie Swan's next of kin is absolutely beyond her. Strangely enough, her parents also aren't answering her calls... In a matter of just a few seconds, Bella realizes that her world has just been turned upside down and that her whole life seems to have been nothing but a lie. Wanting to find out the truth, she packs her bags and leaves for Port Angeles. There, she meets Officer Black to go over Charlie Swan's will...

It is at the funeral that she meets Officer Masen, or Mr. Long Hands as she calls him. Not only is he an outstanding police officer but he also happens to be the adopted son and the rightful kin of none other than Charlie Swan. Upon their first meeting, Edward is more than furious with the young lady because he is under the assumption that she has always known about her father but stayed out of his life by choice. Yet when the two finally talk it out at a small breakfast cafe, Edward realizes that Bella has been kept in the dark all her life and is actually very much like the father she never knew. So Edward decides to help her out and tells her everything regarding Charlie and his side of the story. Soon, something more develops between the two, and Bella finally starts trusting someone again after all of the mess that is her life. But what happens when Bella comes to know that Edward, too, is hiding something? Will she ever trust anyone again or will she understand his situation? And will she finally be able to confront Renee about her biological father?

Ahh, what can I say about this story? Mind-blowing, heart-Touching, toe-Curling, and so fantastic! I am never one to be moved to the extend of actually crying but this story really managed to snatch out all the sentiments in me. For all you Twilight readers out there, read this now! No amount of praises will be enough for this fanfiction, and you will fall in love with sweet officer-ward right away. The story is very realistic with regards to the plot and its exciting to read how Bella manages to unravel the mysteries that are her life. As you read chapter after chapter of this wonderful fanfic, you find out more about the actual motivations behind certain decisions and actions. nerac has pieced together a great story that includes a little bit of all genres from suspense to romance to angst and everything in between. "Look How You Turned Out" by counselor 1

Posted by Anonymous
(banner made by time_lights)

"You asked me... if there was something between us. I thought you meant bad feelings. Then you asked if I'm attracted. I tried to be so careful about it," he says.
"Why did you let me go?" I say, and his hand moves from my arm to my face.
"I never let you go."

When Bella Swan arrives back home after months of living in Chicago, everyone - including her father Charlie and his good friend and neighbor Edward - thinks that she is simply there to spend Thanksgiving with her family. However, the real reason for her return to Forks is as simple as it is embarrassing: she has nowhere else to go. After she turned down the proposal of her boyfriend and boss Jacob Black and was subsequently fired from her job at Black Enterprises, she had to give up her apartment in Chicago and saw no other way but to drive right back home. There, in her old room, surrounded by the green woods and with her father's cruiser in the driveway, she completely indulges in her shame... and her love for Edward Cullen. For years, Bella has lusted and longed for her father's deputy - even though he is twelve years her senior, divorced, and has a kid. For her, Edward is everything she'd ever want, yet terribly out of reach. He doesn't seem to see her as anything but Charlie's young daughter, the girl who babysat for Juney every once in a while...

What Bella doesn't know is that Edward has battled with his "inappropriate" feelings for her ever since he saw her at her High School graduation. It was then that something "clicked" in his head and for the first time, he saw her for the beautiful and intriguing woman that she is. Always careful not to outright show his all-consuming feelings for her in her presence or that of her father, Edward struggles for years to keep his sanity. And the little hope he had for having a future with Bella disappears the moment she left town for Chicago, seemingly without looking back. So instead of doing what he wants, Edward does what he thinks is right and starts dating. In Jessica he hopes to have found the woman, who will bring some consistency into his' and Juney's lives. Yet when Bella returns to her hometown, his carefully suppressed feelings come back to the surface and turn his life upside down...

This is the first story by counselor that I've read and I have to admit, when I started it, I expected tons of angst and drama. I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead of disaster waiting around every corner, Look How You Turned Out is full of humor, wit, and lots of love! Yes, there is drama, especially in the beginning when Edward cannot seem to get his head out of his a**, but the majority of the fic is full of sweet and captivating moments. The story is completely written from BPOV, except for two or three times, when Edward takes over for a few paragraphs. Bella really is a one-of-a-kind, the way she thinks is exactly the way she talks and her snappy remarks and hilarious pop culture references will leave no eye dry. Yet she is also insecure and vulnerable, especially when it comes to her dad and Edward. The latter is adorable and, based on the way Bella describes him, a walking wet dream. Though the unique writing style counselor adopted for this story might not be for everyone (you have fragmented sentences, some jumps, repetitions - remember, Bella talks the way she thinks), it fits Bella and the story perfectly. Don't miss out on this brilliant fanfiction!

Look How You Turned Out consists of 80 chapters and 110,223 words. The story is rated M for lemons and profanities.

"The Red Coats" by ericastwilight 0

Posted by
(banner by time_lights)

Bella Swan is a living miracle: a long time ago, she was seriously sick and the doctors thought she wouldn't make it. Yet to everyone's surprise, Bella was given a transplant on Christmas Day that was able to revive her. Ever since then, Christmas has always been the young woman's favorite holiday. Bella celebrates it by going out wearing a new red coat for each day in the month of December, pairing it with sparkly sweaters and glittery, lit-up earrings. Oh, and red ankle boots. In a nutshell, "Miss Christmas" as people start calling her, appreciates the true meaning of Christmas very much and lives it out to the max. Bella enjoys donating gifts to those who are less fortunate, hoping that they, too, will one day lead a prosperous and happy life - just like her. There is one person, however, who doesn't allow her to get too close: her next door neighbor Edward Cullen. Every time she tries to talk to him or offer him her largely famous apple pie, he shuts her out and closes the door in her face. What the hell is wrong with this man?

Well, as it happens, Edward Cullen is a police officer, who loathes nothing more than holidays and festivities - especially Christmas. He has his reasons for his attitude, first and foremost the fact that he lost his whole family on that very day. Edward has long given up hopes for a happy life and it doesn't help that his job as a cop confronts him daily with criminals and injustice - definitely not a world you would like your children to live in. He is convinced that Christmas is not a holiday of charity and miracles but ruin, nothing but ruin. And when Edward is looking at his neighbor Bella - a walking and talking Christmas - he is disgusted and more than irritated. How can someone be so happy all the time? Why is there a spark in her eyes whenever he sees her and what the heck is up with the attention-grabbing red coats?! Yet despite all these weird attributes of Bella, Edward cannot help but notice how beautiful and charismatic she is. He soon gets the chance to admire that beauty from up close as a criminal out to hurt all those who love Christmas has put his eye on Bella. As a result her father, chief of police Charles Swan, orders Edward to become Bella's personal bodyguard. Will Edward be able to protect her while also letting her into his broken heart?

ericastwilight has always been one of my favorite authors; her writing style is simply amazing as she never misses out on providing her readers with all the details they crave. The Red Coats is no exception to that! The author manages to create two completely opposite characters yet still makes them fall in love with one another - something that seems to be an impossible task, but ericastwilight does it beautifully. The story is written from both Edward's and Bella's perspective, so it will not be hard to understand the events going on and you will find yourself switching from Edward's angry, dark and moody self to Bella's cheerful and sparkling personality. In fact, when you first start the story, it is so hard to imagine how the two of them will get together at all because they simply can't stand to be near ten feet of each other! So I guess we should thank Charlie Swan for being an overprotective father for he is the one that forces Policeward into staying with Miss Christmas at all times. Both Bella and Edward have no choice but to be together every hour of the day and get to know one another in the process! Did I mention how much they want each other? The lemons in this story are fantastic, and you can tell how much the two lovers try to hold off their attraction toward one another in the beginning. But let's just say, that doesn't last very long... I definitely think this story is fantastic and a MUST read! It was just completed this January and it has already received about 2k+ reviews, and I think it surely deserves more! It has a beautiful plot-line and Edward and Bella will melt your heart. So what are you waiting for ;D, jump on it!!!

The Red Coats consists of 22 chapters and 44,775 words. The story is rated M for language and really good lemons!

"A Talionic Force" by LovinRob 0

Posted by
(banner made by Prachi)

Detective Edward Masen is superb at his job; he has everything it takes to be a successful secret agent: a certain hunch, the good looks that get him everywhere and anything, the power of deduction, as well as the ability to keep under the radar. Preferring to work alone rather than with a partner, Edward manages to solve even the most complicated mysteries and crimes. Yet behind all the success and satisfaction of doing good, the young police officer is thoroughly haunted by past. Each and every night, nightmares disturb his sleep as Edward is unable to get over the loss of family. They all died in a tragic accident - no, scratch that, murder - and have possessed Edward's every thought ever since. Always wanting to get into the FBI, he had worked hard to become a police officer at the young age of twenty-two. But after the terrifying events involving his family, Edward immediately diverted his educational tracks and became a detective, investigating the crime that took his loved ones from him. To alleviate the stress he is under, the young detective loses himself in meaningless one nights stand - that is, until one Bella Swan comes along...

Bella Swan - a top-notch chef - works at a restaurant that is not quite up to her level. With her amazing cooking skills, the place she currently works at is not paying her as well as it should. So when a certain Laurent comes up to her and offers her a position at his five star restaurant, Bella does not hesitate and accepts his offer. The restaurant turns out to be wonderful: Bella's new job in the kitchen is fantastic and the salary is great - nothing to complain about. But after a few days at her new work place, the young woman realizes that her boss might be involved in some illegal business. With the help of her best friend Alice's boyfriend Jasper, who is a cop, she tries to put the pieces together, but to no avail. Just when she starts telling herself that she might be imagining things, Bella stumbles upon further proof that fishy things are going on at the restaurant. In the midst of all this, she meets Edward, who happenes to have strolled by. The chemistry between them is shockingly strong, and the two of them end up spending a night with each other at Edward's place - which in turn stirrs feelings within Edward that he has never felt before. But will a gun in Edward's jacket make Bella think that he too is one of the criminals out to get her? And what will happen when Edward finds out that people Bella knows are involved in the murder of his family?

A Talionic Force  is a really good story that was completed just a little over a year ago and I must say that it has gained quite a bit of popularity in such a short amount of time! I think this fanfiction is definitely one of those that should be read no matter what. Agentward is so handsome and let's admit it, with his green eyes and bronze hair who wouldn't love this sexy detective? To top it off, his traumatic past really adds to the depth in his character and the readers will surely feel their hearts reaching out to him. The story has an interesting story line which will make you want to keep reading until you finally reach the end. Bella, too, goes through a great character development and is presented as a more than adept chef. The author is very thorough in describing her dishes and in some instances, I couldn't help but feel my mouth water at the tempting food descriptions! You will experience a little bit of everything in this fanfic, from sweet-loving romance to an action-packed climax. I highly recommend this story (written from both Edward's and Bella's POV) to everyone - it is so worth the read!!!

A Talionic Force consists of 29 chapters and a total of 134,822 words. The story is rated M for language, some crime, and sexual activities.

"At the End of the Day" by Edward's Eternal 0

Posted by Anonymous
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9184055/1/At-the-End-of-the-Day

Because her long-time boyfriend Jake cheated on her, Bella Swan takes the advice of her good friend Rose and gets drunk. Really drunk. So drunk in fact, that she confuses her neighbor Edward's apartment for her own and desperately tries to get her key into his lock. Needless to say, the moment Edward opens his door, she ends up falling right before his feet. Concerned, the lovely officer Cullen picks up the beautiful brunette and gets her to talk about what brought her into this miserable condition. When she confesses that she is newly-single and that it also might have something to do with his gorgeous self moving into her apartment complex just recently, things take an unexpected turn...

Because Edward Cullen has had a crush on his neighbor ever since he laid eyes on her, but the knowledge that she had a boyfriend kept him from approaching her and asking her out. However, now that she so cutely admitted to like him as well, he can't hold back anymore. Edward kisses Bella senseless and lets her stay the night to sleep off her drunk adventure from the evening. Furthermore, the next day, he also makes sure that his girl can't go anywhere until they have talked, leaving her a very sweet (and totally hilarious) note. But will Bella still see things the same, now that she is sober?

This story is completely filled with fluff and humor. Edward's slightly unconventional way of teaching Jake a lesson to never hurt Bella again will definitely bring a wide grin to your face and the above mentioned note is simply priceless. Moreover, Edward is completely smitten with Bella - who, by the way, has absolutely no filter when she has consumed alcohol - and would pretty much do anything for her. The story is written from both character's POV, with hardly any repititions. The lemons are tame yet sweet and definitely sigh-worthy. Read it, it's a sweet and short fanfiction for in between longer ones!

At the End of the Day consists of 3 chapters and 17,247 words. The story is rated M for profanities and description of sexual activities.

"My Sweet Variable" by LifeInTheSnow 1

Posted by
(banner made by Jaime)

Mathematic genius Bella Swan and science geek Edward Cullen seem like ordinary high school students. Two boring teenagers, who seem to not know each other and go through the usual high school drama with their friends. But in reality, however, the two of them know each other really well and are so much more than mere students at Forks High. They are trained undercover agents taken in because of their incredible intelligence and given assignments to assassinate targets on a regular basis. And even though the people they kill are involved in some pretty severe illegal activities, Bella and Edward feel guilt over the fact that they are in fact murdering a human being. Innocent or not, it is not easy to have someone else's blood on your hands, and that is exactly the case for our dear couple. But they are hanging on, at least until they turn nineteen, because that is when they will be allowed to finally be free from their organization and be the normal teenagers that they want to be. But until then, they are under constant observation by their boss Aro, who is able to hear every conversation they carry through microphones. What will happen when he wants them to kill innocent people? Can the two lovers somehow find a way to escape from the organization?

LifeInTheSnow has written a short, but a wonderful story that is very much under-appreciated! The plot is very unusual and will surprise you in each chapter with its unexpected twists and turns. Furthermore, you will definitely be able to connect with the characters and feel their desperation to be normal teenagers and stop all the bloodbath. So when they finally start finding clues to breach the organization that they work in, they take it up on themselves to destroy Aro and his plans to kill innocent people. But the task is not as easy as it seems and the hurdles in their way is something that they have to figure out together. The question is - will they be able to get away from the problems that come their way? This is a story that definitely should not be missed at all, especially not if you are fan of mysterious undercover agent work! The author uses very vivid details which makes the fanfiction so much more entertaining. The best part is that the story is written in third person's perspective, so it is really easy to follow the events that are happening within the fanfic. Even though My Sweet Variable only consists of eighteen chapters, you will be amazed how well-structured and fantastic this story is. I highly recommend it! I promise it won't disappoint at all!

My Sweet Variable consists of 18 chapters and 69,798 words. The story is rated M for language and some sexual reference.

"Mafia Princess" by tufano79 0

(banner made by Mandy)

Twenty-one year old Isabella del Cigno (cigno means swan in Italian) is the daughter of the infamous mob boss Charlie del Cigno. The latter is absolutely deadly, ruthless, cunning - and wanted by the FBI. Fortunately for him, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has so far been unable to come up with enough evidence to bring Charlie down, which is why they send one of their best agents to investigate undercover... Meanwhile, Isabella lives the life of the mafia elite. She might not be  directly involved in the criminal business of her father but definitely inherited his sharp personality and love of all things glamorous. Whatever her heart desires and can be bought with money is hers: fast cars, expensive jewelry, extravagant clothes - there's almost nothing she can't have. Almost, because the thing she wants the most seem out of her reach: freedom from her slightly overbearing father. Because out of fear that Isabella could become the next target of his archenemies, the Volturis, Charlie is extremely protective of his only child. He demands that Bella will take a bodyguard with her wherever she goes and before she knows it, the young woman is constantly surrounded by one Edward Cullen.

Edward Cullen, twenty-six year old special agent with the FBI, has agreed to infiltrate the del Cigno Syndicate and gather evidence on mob boss Charlie. After risking his life to save the latter, Edward is able to gain the trust of the family and quickly works his way through the ranks. Eventually, he is hired as Bella's bodyguard and is initially less than thrilled about it. Edward thinks of Bella as a whiny and self-centered bitch, who cares about nothing but her luxurious life style. But there is something about her that really draws him to her. Due to an incident in his troublesome past, the young undercover agent has great difficulties with being touched by others. Yet while he usually flinches or gets seizures from a simple handshake, Bella's touch calms him down and makes him yearn for more. It also doesn't take long for Edward to realize that his protegé is far from being cold-hearted as he believed. Rather it is a mask Bella puts on to hide her true self from the world. Just as the two start pursuing whatever is going on between them, the Cigno family finds out that the Volturi have put a bounty on Isabella's head. As the last heir of the Cigno's legacy, she's the only thing standing between the Volturi and absolute power. Will Edward be able to keep his girl alive? And can he find a way to keep both Bella and his job?

tufano79 has created an amazing mafia story that will steal your heart for eternity! This fanfiction contains everything that you can possibly think of: well-rounded characters, a sexually intense connection between Edward and Bella, and a suspenseful plot that will leave you on the edge of your seats! Though you may find Bella slightly annoying in the beginning of the fanfiction, it isn't hard to figure out that she is just trying to protect herself and her family by keeping up a mask. You have to keep in mind that being the only heir of  a crime syndicate is a pressure lying heavily on her shoulders. One mistake, and the safety of the whole family is at risk. But Bella soon realizes that she can trust Edward and their love story begins. You might have the urge to smack both of them from time to time, for their stubbornness, but eventually their romance will leave you breathless. I don't think this story will leave out any emotions within you and the best part is that you will be able to easily flow through the events of the story since it is a drabble fic. Through the points of view of the different characters tufano79 tells her story. Mafia Princess is definitely not to be missed and deserves a round of applause! :D

Mafia Princess consists of 201 short chapters and 240,887 words. The story is rated M for language, some violence, and some sexual references. A pdf version of the story can be read here! Thanks to tufano79 for the permission!

"Bedroom Confessions" by JandMsMommy 1

Posted by Anonymous
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/5651876/

Detectives Edward Cullen and Mike Newton are called to a homocide and are in the middle of carefully examining the crime scene when they hear a scratching sound coming from an antique armoire. With their guns ready they open the door of the furniture and find a young woman crouched down in a corner. 19-year-old Bella Swan was present when her aquaintance and roommate Lauren Mallory was stabbed from behind. Unfortunately, though, she can't remember anything she witnessed as her brain suffers from PTSD as a result of the traumatic events. As Bella is new in town and doesn't have family to go to, Detective Cullen offers to take her home and keep her safe. After all, she is the only witness of a first-degree murder and in extreme danger as long as the killer hasn't been found...

But even though Edward tries to keep things between him and Bella strictly professional, he can't deny the pull he feels toward her. While it might be his protectiveness that draws him to her in the beginning, soon his emotions run a lot deeper than that. The brunette beauty is quickly taking over his every thought and Edward can't help but wanting to find out more about her. Yet Bella seems to be an enigma; whenever he unravels one mystery another pops up. Meanwhile, the two get closer and closer and one game of Truth or Dare Jenga will change the status of their relationship forever. But will Edward be able to keep a clear head in investigating Bella's case or are his personal feelings for the victim a conflict of interests?

Given that Bedroom Confessions is JandMsMommy's first Twilight fanfiction you can only take your hat off to her. The story is nicely structured and each and every piece of information the reader gets is important and helps putting the puzzle pieces together. Unlike many other Edwards, this one is not afraid to bend the rules of ethics a bit. Instead of pushing Bella away because a relationship between the two is technically not allowed, he jumps right in and let's his emotions guide him. The two decide to not tell others about what's going on between them, at least until the case is solved and only openly show their affection behind closed doors. The few lemons that are included in the story are well written, yet, alas, a bit too short - but again, keep in mind it's the author's first story! ;-) Bedroom Confessions is written from Edward's and Bella's POVs and a wonderful fanfiction debut! It's a great crime story that will keep you on your toes! Recommendable!

Bedroom Confessions consists of 22 chapters and a total of 68,120 words. The story is rated MA for violence, some foul language and a few lemons. You can read the Portugues translation here and the French version here (the latter is not complete yet).

"In Pursuit" by Sarge's Girls (guest review by Anjali) 0

(banner was made by Jaime)

Mary and Marie Swan are twin sisters living in Manhattan. Mary is a dancer and Marie is working at an accounting firm. One night, after an evening full of partying, the sisters make a stop at Marie's office on their way home, to pick up her phone that she left there. They are both shocked to see that the office is lit up and even more shocked to hear a series arguments and gunshots. Although they are able to take cover and protect themselves, Mary and Marie witness the murder of Marie's boss, Eleazar. Terrified of what they have just seen, the two women seek help from the authorities, who tell them that Eleazar has apparently been killed by the Italian mafia. To protect Mary and Marie from further danger, U.S. Marshalls Edward Cullen and Jasper Hale are assigned to shield the two sisters from the mob. What neither of them expects is that they both meet their respective matches...

As the police continues its investigation on the case, our two Marshalls develop close relationships with their protegĂ©s: Marie is instantly attracted to Edward, who, despite his dark and rough edges, reciprocates her feelings. However, he is reluctant to act on them and doesn't feel comfortable to open up about his life, given the current situation. While Edward and Marie are somewhat tip-toeing around each other, Jasper and Mary are upfront about the sentiments they harbor for one another and are willing to make their relationship work. And when Edward and Marie realize that similiar pasts haunt them at night and the energy surrounding them gets stronger and stronger, they eventually give in to their feelings. When the case finally comes to a close, the couples decide to start their lives over, with new identities for the girls: Marie as Isabella and Mary as Alice. But will their love survive now that they are out in the real world?

In Pursuit is the second story I have read written by Sarge's Girls and I must tell you that once again, I am completely blown away. The details of the story and the reality of the situation that the characters face is beautifully depicted by the author. What really makes this my favorite fanfic is the wonderful way Edward is portrayed. He is a hot, lovable man with a broken heart and you can't help but want to reach out to him and give him a kiss to make it all better. It is just tremendously heart-warming to see him so protective and in love with Bella. I must also say that though almost half of the story utilizes Mary and Marie as Alice's and Bella's names, it really isn't as bothersome as you would think because the author really describes them well, making it easy to distinguish the girls. Besides, it's kind of hard to get confused since we all know that Mary and Marie are Alice's and Bella's respective middle names from the original series. A great, romantic story with a twisted plot - written from both Bella and Edward's POV. You should give it a try for sure!

In Pursuit consists of 34 chapters and 266, 630 words. The story is rated M for language, sexual activities, and crime situations.

"Southern Charms and Chicago Shadows" by edwardsouthernbella 0

 (banner made by Mina)

The story kicks off with immediate drama: Bella Swan has just been announced "Miss South Carolina" when suddenly, shots are fired at the stage. Even though nobody is getting hurt, the culprit can escape and no one really knows who his actual target was. So Bella's father Charlie takes no risks and gets the best available protection for her as possible. From then on, Edward Cullen is responsible for Bella's safety 24/7 - one of the reasons why the young woman feels incredibly suffocated. The other is her mother Renée, who wants nothing but for Bella to win the title of "Miss America. And more so, hardly anyone sees her as the young woman that she is, but everyone simply relies on her reputation and looks when judging her character. S it comes as an absolute surprise to her then that her new bodyguard seems to treat her differently than the others.

And the attraction she feels towards Edward is mutual, even though Edward is initially reluctant to start any kind of relationship with Bella that isn't strictly professional. Eventually, however, the magnetism between them is too immense to put off any longer and the two begin a secret romance. Secret, until Edward's mission is over, which means, until the person is found who wants to kill Bella. An anonymous letter has confirmed everyone's worst fears and declared her as the target. Now it's up to Edward to keep his girl safe, while also keeping their relationship hidden...

A wonderful short story by EdwardSouthernBella! The story really captures the plot well; juggling Bella and Edward's relationship as well as dealing with the big bad and his evil plan. It is really great to see how Edward manages to bring the "real" Bella to the surface and making her feel strong and independent about herself. Moreover, what makes this fanfiction so special is that it is set in the south. The language as well as the quick temper of some characters leave no doubt where the story takes place. To read how SouthernBella and ChicagoWard get their smut on will leave you breathless! Finally, Southern Charms and Chicago Shadows has just been completed and is written from the alternating POVs of Edward and Bella which will get you an good insight into both of their minds. This story is very light-hearted (despite the bloody plot line) and will clear your head off super angsty and serious reads; a perfect relaxer. And though the story is very short it still feels like a well-rounded fanfiction. A unique story that should definitely be given a shot!

Southern Charms and Chicago Shadows consists of 12 chapters and 49,388 words. The story is rated M for language, some violence, and sexual activities.

"Do the Right Thing" by LyricalKris 4

Agent Edward Cullen was a well-respected FBI agent. Together with his hand-in-hand partner, Agent Jasper Hale, he had always been able to solve cases successfully. But when he takes over a case that requires catching two members of one of the most dangerous criminal gangs in town, Edward definitely didn't expect his life to turn upside down! On the first day of his mission, he becomes the witness of how a beautiful brunette breaks up with none other than Jacob Black, a guy pivotal for the successful closing of the case. Said brunette soon becomes an important help to the FBI: even though Bella Swan had just ditched Jacob she now agrees to pretend to make up with him in order to help Edward and Jasper to gain some useful information. What no one considers, however, is the immense attraction between Edward and Bella that should soon turn into real love. As the two FBI agents have to take care of Bella's security 24/7, they are constantly keeping an eye on her. For Edward, seeing how his girl is sweet-talking Jacob, is less than thrilling and is playing with his patience. Then, the bust suddenly goes astray, leaving Jacob dead and Bella in the hospital. Edward is shocked to find out that the love of his life is not only six weeks pregnant with his child but also suffers from amnesia. Will Edward be able to bring Bella's memories back while also solving the case?

As with most of her stories, LyricalKris' Do the Right Thing has you hooked from chapter one! This mind-blowing fanfic starts out with Edward learning about Bella's serious condition in the hospital. Until chapter ten, each chapter is divided into two parts: the first being about the past, with all the events leading up to the failed bust, and the second dealing with the current situation and Bella's recovery. Despite this rather unusual structure, the author manages to grab the readers attention and creates a lot of suspense by only giving away one piece of information after the other.  Furthermore, the story is entirely in third perspective, which the author uses to its benefit and allows the reader to get in everyone's heads really well. You will spend a lot of time on trying to put the puzzle pieces together and probably won't be able to stop reading the story until you find out exactly what happened to Bella and how! I can also guarantee that you will fall in love with hot FBIward in this story as well as Bella, who remains positive and strong throughout the whole story despite her initial loss of senses.
This is a beautiful story that will have you at the ends of your seats! So much enigma, so much romance (hot ones, at that!), and a sexy Edward - what else do you need in a fantastic story? A must read that shouldn't be as overlooked!

Do the Right Thing consists of 32 chapters and 132,340 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual activities/references.

"Scarlet" by archer24 2

Posted by

FBI agent Edward Cullen is adept at catching the best of thieves; his current and also most troublesome case being "The Scarlet Thief" (a.k.a. Bella). The young thief is an expert at stealing the most precious and valuable paintings, gems, and artefacts. With an ease that is both astounding and scary she is able to overcome even the best security measures and traps. Along with her best friend Alice, who, as an expert on works of art and antiquities, takes over the role of verifying the authenticity of the stolen goods, Bella not only steals what her eyes are set on but also manages to escape each and every time - much to FBI agent Cullen's disappointment.

When Bella and Edward are forced to join forces due to their expertise in an important mission, the fire between them ignites immediately. Although irritated at each other in the beginning, they can't help but admit that their partner is well skilled and at the top of their game. Yet the longer Bella and Edward work together, the more difficult life gets for Bella. While coming to terms with her growing feelings for Edward, she also becomes entangles in lies to keep up her cover. Will there be a future for her and Edward? And what's the reason behind Bella's unusual choice of profession?

Scarlet is a great fanfic that not only bonds Bella and Edward together, but also involves great mission techniques. The intricate way archer24 describes simple things like picking a lock with a pin really made reading this fanfiction an interesting experience. Furthermore, the subplot of Bella's past and reasons for stealing give depths to her character and makes the story complete. I was completely engrossed in Scarlet and all of it's romance and crime going on. It brought out a lot of emotions within me: from stealthy to strong-willed, from love to sadness (and everything in between). This story will surely get you hooked - don't miss it!

Scarlet consists of  28 chapters and 147,185 words. The story is rated M for violence.

"It's Murder" by ElleD'Amore 0

Posted by Anonymous

Detective Inspectors Edward Cullen and Bella Swan work like a perfectly oiled machine. For years, they have been solving murder cases in and around Boston and have spent more time with each other than apart. Slowly, their professional relationship developes into a close friendship as they start sharing their innermost fears, wants, and thoughts with the one another.
Whenever they've successfully closed a case or need to work extra hours, they stay in Bella's small bedroom apartment, talking and laughing. And even though Edward could easily go to his far more luxurious uptown flat he prefers staying with Bella as often as he can (sleeping on the way too small sofa) and often spoils her by cooking great meals. Life could be really good for both of them...

...if it weren't for Edward's growing desire to be with Bella. Really be with her. Unfortunately for Edward Bella has made it abundantly clear from the very beginning that she would never get involved with the men she worked with - no matter how smart and sexy-looking they might be. And so, for as long as they know each other, the two have enjoyed casual flings instead of serious relationships. Too bad that Edward begins to realize that, more often than not, he thinks about his beautiful brunette partner rather than of the blonde bombshell lying beneath him. And when he notices the green monster appearing whenever Bella goes on a "date", Edward knows he is in way too deep. Can he convince Bella to overcome her fear of commitment and admit her feelings for him? And does Bella really don't mind when Edward goes home with another woman?

When I saw that It's Murder is acutally ElleD'Amore's debut as a Twilight fanfiction writer I had hard times believing it. The story is immensely well-written and contains a lot of humor. The dialogue is full of wit and esprit and the characters are immensely entertaining. Yes, some passage are a tid-bit too long (especially the parts when we get a glimpse of Edward's and Bella's thoughts) but the nice plot really makes up for that. From the very beginning the reader is somewhat on Edward's side and watches how he tries to get Bella to admit her feelings. Our little firecracker shows a lot of resistance but Edward wouldn't be Edward if he didn't know ways around that! This story is highly recommendable!

It's Murder consists of 33 chapters and 200,811 words. The story is rated M for lemons, violence, and profanities.

"Rise" by Rochelle Allison 1

Posted by

"Alec hired him one year ago to be my keeper, although that isn’t what either of them would call it. Bodyguard. Driver. Whatever."

Alec is not the same man Bella fell in love with six years ago. Instead of the charming young guy she met in high school, he was now a real bad boy with questionable connections and business in drug-trafficking. On top of that, Alec tends to raise a hand against Bella once in a while and has recently employed someone to be her living shadow. Over protective? Yes. Suffocating? Definitely.

Ever since her boyfriend's change in character Bella wants and needs somebody else. She feels empty and trapped in a life she no longer wants. Enter Edward Masen, Bella's new protector, and the only person, who manages to bring a smile back to her face. Their attraction is instant and although both try to fight it for some time, their relationship is inevitable. But what would the prize of their secret liaison be? What would Alec do if he found out his girl has feelings for another man? And what secret does Masen harbor - is really he the man Bella thought he was?

All of Rochelle Allison’s stories are absolutely amazing. Always well-written and with interesting plot lines. I have yet to come across one I don't like, but it is definitely not Rise. Though there is some drug dealing and violence involved, Rise is definitely not your typical crime/thriller fanfiction. Instead, the story primarily focuses on Bella and how she manages to cope with her life and its dramatic events. Once Masen comes into the picture and the two develop that amazing chemistry, Rochelle Allison's story also contains some hot lemons (mainly towards the end of the story). And who doesn't love that? Good read!

Rise consists of 26 chapters and a total of 57,852 words. The story is rated MA for graphic violence, foul language, and lemons. Please only read this fan fiction if you’re at least 18 years old.

"Through A Looking Glass, Darkly" by middlewife 0

Posted by Anonymous

It's late at night when Edward Cullen and his partner Jasper Whitlock arrive at an old and dilapidated warehouse. A couple of teenagers called the police after they found the body of a young woman lying in the basement. The two officers go downstairs and carefully approach the crime scene. It doesn't take long until both realize that the brutally beaten and tortured woman cowering on the cold floor is still alive.

After Edward and Jasper get the victim to the hospital they immediately begin their investigation. Soon, they find out that the woman goes by the name of Isabella Swan and has lived a rather lonely and inconspicuous life. In order to gather more information they visit Isabella as soon as she is awake, yet the moment they enter the hospital room two things become abundantly clear: 1) due to the damage to her head Isabella doesn't even remember her last name let alone the face of the perpetrator, and 2) these deep brown and innocent eyes will get Edward into a lot of trouble!

Through A Looking Glass, Darkly has been on my kindle for quite some time, yet for whatever reason it wasn't until recently that I started reading it. My bad, because this story is so well written that it's almost impossible to put it away! Though the love story between Edward and Bella takes up a huge part of the fanfiction's plot, the story arch of finding the perpetrator is equally important! All the police procedures described sound surprinsingly realistic and make you feel like watching Law and Order. Read it, it's the perfect mixture of suspense and romance!

Through A Looking Glass, Darkly consists of 43 chapters and a total of 137,426 words. The story is rated MA for violence and graphic description of sexual activities. If you are under the age of 18, I'll really advise you not to read the fanfiction!
