When her husband Jacob reveals that he is in love with another woman, Bella decides that enough is enough. With her marriage broken and her beloved father dead, there is nothing that keeps her in Seattle anymore. So she packs her belongings and throws a dart at a map of the United States. It lands in the small town of St. Louis in Missouri. She finds a position as a teacher at an elementary school in Kansas City and buys a small condo. It is while moving into her new home that Bella meets Edward, his brother Emmett, and their good friend Jasper. She is also warmly welcomed by her new neighbors Alice and Rose, who give her fashion and dating advice whenever they can. Though Edward has made a lasting impression on Bella the two kind of lose touch and don’t see each other again until the handsome young music professor walks into Bella’s new class room, accompanied by his cute little six-year old daughter, Carlie…

As both Edward and Bella don’t get each other out of their minds, it doesn’t take long until they start dating. Though the fact that Bella is Carlie’s teacher makes their relationship difficult, the two are not discouraged by it. They know their feelings run deeper than mere attraction and both are ready to start a new chapter in their lives. Unfortunately, there are a few things that keeps them from living their happily ever after, namely Bella’s ex-husband Jake and Edward’s past acquaintance Carmen. A few years ago, the latter was the one, who introduced Edward to the secrets of BDSM relationships and taught him the secrets of the female body. Though Bella is open to try out a few things with Edward in the bedroom (and enjoying his sexual expertise immensely), she is furious when Carmen suddenly appears in St. Louis and wants her former Sub back…

First and foremost, Gateway to the Heart is not a BDSM fanfiction in the classical sense. You won’t read about whips and chains, but some more unusual methods of love making. Though it might not be everyone’s cup of tea (personally, I’m not a fan of BDSM myself), the subject is tackled in a very delicate way and has been “downgraded” immensely. Edward is unwilling to inflict pain on Bella and she on the other hand has her limits with what she wants to do as well. That said, you need to decide for yourselves if you feel up to a story like that. Naturally, because of the BDSM influence and the couples strong sex drive, the fanfiction is rated MA. Moreover, it is written from both characters’ perspectives, resulting in some repetitions along the way. Getaway to the Heart is filled with likeable characters (first and foremost Emmett), very funny moments (Carlisle dressed as a princess is priceless), and lots of love. Add some drama to it and you have another wonderful story by samekraemer! Make sure to check it out!

Gateway to the Heart consists of 38 chapters and a total of 265,603 words. The story is rated MA for graphic description of sexual relations, references of BDSM, and foul language.

"She Could Be Everything" by samekraemer 0

Posted by Anonymous

What do you do when you find out that your fiancé has been cheating on you for ages, with none other than your best friend, mere days before the wedding of your dreams? Exactly, you say 'to hell with them all' and decide to enjoy the overly expensive yet already paid for honeymoon on the Bahamas alone, hoping to drown all your sorrows in alcohol. Lots of alcohol. At least that is just what Edward Cullen is doing. But just when he is about to settle down with a nice drink on the beach his green eyes find an amazing female butt, attached to an even better looking, smooth-skinned female body. Edward approaches the beautiful brunette, who lies on a sun lounger and the two start a funny conversation.

It turns out that Bella has pretty much experienced the same thing Edward has - being cheated on by their fiancé - shortly before the nuptials were to take place. This very unusual and rather sad thing they have in common connects them in a curious yet strong way. They decide to enjoy the already booked adventures and wellness amenities together, determined to have fun rather than wallowing in self-pity. So for about two weeks, Edward and Bella spend most of their time together getting to know each other. During boat cruises, romantic dinners, jet-ski lessons, and massages the two get closer and closer, until, one day, the sexual tension between them gets too much and they spend a passionate night together. Quickly, both of them fall head over heels for each other and it isn't long until Edward makes plans to propose to his beautiful girl. But what happens when their honeymoons are over? Will they stay in contact? And what is Bella hiding from Edward?

samekraemer is a wonderful writer, who manages to breathe life into even the most unusual story lines. Let me tell you right away that you are in for some unexpected twists and turns in this fanfiction - some you'll like, others you might not. She Could Be Everything is written from Edward and Bella's perspective - even though in the beginning EPOVs outnumber BPOVs (and for a good reason) - which means you get a good idea of what's going on in both of their heads. There is not too much repetition meaning that the train of reading isn't hindered. Both Edward and Bella are conflicted when it comes to their emotions and feelings for each other, so be prepared for some angsty moments that might give you some whiplash. I have to admit that I didn't like the ending very much but the rest of this story is just amazing! Another great work by samekraemer!

She Could Be Everything consists of 10 chapters and 57,546 words. The story is rated M for lemons, profanities, and some angst.

"Come Home" by samekraemer 0

After a t-bone collision that put him in a coma for weeks, Edward Cullen doesn't remember the last year of his life. The terrible accident also ruined his career as a surgeon, a fact that turns him into an angry and grumpy young man. One of the things that confuse him the most is that he doesn't understand why  he has to be cared for by a mousy woman named Bella Swan, even though he can't stand her at all. Why his family allows her presence in his house is beyond him, but he was going to find out... Meanwhile, Bella is mourning the loss of the husband she once knew. A man who didn't even wait three days after his proposal to whisk her off to the courthouse and marry her; a man whom she lovingly called Elmer and who had named her Bugsy in return. She missed him terribly and she'd give everything she had to change those fateful 30 seconds that altered both of their lives irrevocably. But the only thing she really can do is fight for the one she loves, even if it means keeping up with Edward Cullen...

Come Home is a story for the angst lovers, and for those who have no qualms reading a very angry and nasty Edward. He treats Bella horribly, calls her names and at one point he even accuses her of trying to kill him with an overdose. But don’t be fooled, this is definitely a love story - one told through Bella’s eyes and her memories. Little by little, you will discover the bond that unites this cranky man to this patient woman and once you find out, your heart will break for them.

One of the things we like the most about this short fic is how the writer combined the good times with the bad times - compacting them to one coherent story. Bella’s flashbacks help you get to know the love story before the tragedy, and it'll make you root for the crossed lovers till the end. We can’t promise you will like the journey because, like real life, some bad things must happen before the good stuff comes along. It’s all part of the growth process. Both Bella and Edward have lost themselves along the way, and they need time to grow and embrace the new persons they have become. But there is one thing we can promise you, and that’s a happily ever after, just don’t stop reading. You will thank us later. ;)

Come Home consists of 11 chapters and a total of 35,728 words. The fanfiction is rated M for mature language and sexual situations.

"Welcome to Evening Shade" by samekraemer 0

Posted by Anonymous

It was just meant to be a short visit - two or three days at the most. In fact, all Bella Swan-Decklan had in mind when driving all the while to the middle of nowhere, a.k.a. Evening Shade, Nebraska, was to meet her estranged father, pay back everything he invested in her college education, bond a little, and then set off towards her new life in Los Angeles. Yet just after arriving in this teeny tiny town where her father was living and working as a sheriff, she is pulled over by the police - apparently she was a bit too fast. Now, unfortunately for the officer and Bella, the latter is filled to the brink with anger and frustration (due to her divorce which was just finalized) and not only starts screaming at the poor policeman like a banshee but also kicks him in the knee when he pulls out a(n unloaded) gun. Before she knows it, Bella is taken into custody and put into jail. There, she comes face to face with her father Charlie, the peacemaker and lawyer Emmett McCarthy, as well as the hot as hell major Edward Cullen.

Instead of getting his poor daughter out of jail asap, Charlie Swan explains to her that she would definitely have to attend a proper hearing before getting anywhere. Shocked and angry Bella spends the night behind bars before meeting with Emmett, Edward and her father in the morning and getting sentenced to dozens of hours of community work...
Meanwhile, Edward tries desperately to get the stunning and witty brunette out of his mind. After the death of his wife Sam six years ago, Edward has lived a pretty reclusive life, surrounded only by his parents Esme and Carlisle, his sister Alice and her husband Jasper, as well as his cousin Emmett and his wife Rosalie. Apart from having taken over the duties of town major the 36-year old also owns a small yet wonderfully decorated bookstore. It is over their shared passion for books and writing that Bella and Edward get closer and closer. Though at 24 she is a lot younger than Edward, Bella is like a fresh breeze of air and quickly manages to find a way into his heart. But while he knows he never felt anything like this before and is determined to make her his (forever), she desperately tries to ignore the overwhelmingly feelings she harbors for him and plans to leave Nebraska as soon as her work is done...

When I read the story I couldn't help but imagine Evening Shade to be something like Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls: a small and sleepy town where everyone knows everyone else and where the biggest event of the year is probably the update of the welcome sign from 1,104 inhabitants to 1,105. All of the quirky characters that Bella meets during her time there have their own story to tell and never disappoint to make you smile. Welcome to Evening Shade is written from both Edward and Bella's POV and consists of 21 lovely chapters filled with humor and romance. All the things Edward does to make Bella stay (e.g. not repairing her shower so that she would hopefully run into him when she has to use his) are wonderful to read, despite the fact that the reader feels always clouded by the fear Bella might eventually leave Evening Shade and throw away the best thing that ever happened to her.

Welcome to Evening Shade consists of 21 chapters and a total of 96,018 words. The story is rated M for lemons, foul language, and the mention of rape.

"Law of Attraction" by samekraemer 0

Posted by Anonymous

Following the suggestion of her advisor Dr. Carlisle Cullen, university student Bella Swan applies for the position of summer associate at Reed & O’Sullivan, a law firm specializing in intellectual property. After a number of interviews Bella comes face to face with Edward Cullen, Dr. Cullen's good-looking son, and head of the Associate’s Committee as well as the summer program. And though Edward seems rather cold and indifferent towards her, the young student gets the job and starts working only a couple of months later. What she doesn't know is that with just one look she had done what no other woman ever could: taming Edward Cullen.

Because her future boss used to be everything but a choirboy. As a womanizer extraordinaire, the Edward made it a habit of sleeping with everything having boobs within a two mile radius. But a single look of Bella is enough to make Edward see clearly. Suddenly he thinks about her walking down the aisle towards him, a huge house with a white picket fence and brown-eyed children with wild bronze hair running around the backyard. Determined to make her his, he changes his playboy lifestyle and starts charming the hell out of Bella. Unfortunately though, Bella isn't willing to become just another one of his hookups and is willing to show him the cold shoulder...

Law of Attraction is a wonderfully written story. samekramer's writing style is very sophisticated, gripping, and fast-paced. Furthermore, you will hardly find any typos and grammatical mistakes which makes reading this fanfic a very pleasant experience. The chapters are written from both Edward's and Bella's POV, with close to no repetitions. The supporting characters are well portrayed and very likable. I was especially captivated by the wonderful friendship between Edward and Angela, something I don't think I've ever encountered before in other fanfictions. Add to that some nice lemons and this story is close to perfect and a definite must-read!

Law of Attraction consists of 28 chapters and a total of 148,187 words. The story is rated M for lemons and foul language.
