Six years ago, New Zealand reporter Bella Swan met the man of her dreams. Ed, the charming, handsome, and immensely talented piano player, was everything she never knew she wanted in a man and he made her feel things that her husband of over ten years never could. Yet because of said husband, Bella forgoes any kind of relationship with Ed, who, she later learns, is none other than political prodigy Edward Cullen - a man on his way to become the next Prime Minister of his country. His future aspirations force Edward's and Bella's lives to cross almost daily. Being part of the official New Zealand press corps, Bella follows the career of the gorgeous bronze-haired man and once he starts his campaign, constantly covers the latest developments for her newspaper. All the time, her feelings for Edward never lessen and once she finally decides to divorce her unfaithful husband, she is willing to give a possible relationship with the newly elected Prime Minister a chance...

Edward Masen has only ever cared about one woman: smart and beautiful Bella Swan. For six years, he patiently waited for her while simultaneously running his campaign. After becoming the new Prime Minister of New Zealand one of his first goals is to make Bella his - even if he has to send the Navy to rescue her from a small island, where she is supposed to write about an upcoming vulcanic eruption. Once his girl is back home, Edward loses no time and does what he should have done six years ago. But is she willing to change her life and career for him? How will the two of them deal with the pressure of keeping their relationship a secret?

Politicianward is probably one of my favorite "Wards" out there. All the power and sovereignty are mightily sexy, don't you think? And in this story, Edward isn't only the leader of a country and has people listen to his every word, he is also absolutely head over heels for Bella and would do pretty much everything for her. There's no one else for him and his committment to her is what made me like him so much. Bella is a wonderful mother of two children, who are practically already grown-up (both Bella and Edward are in their late thirties in this fic) and therefore don't have too much "on-screen time", who loves a good joke. She and Edward are very active, sexually speaking, alas the lemons are often a bit too short and not overly graphic. You will enjoy them, however, as they definitely convey how much they care about each other. The Exclusive is alternating both characters' POVs.

The Exclusive consists of 15 chapters and a total of 58,545 words. The story is rated M for lemons and profanities.
