"Ruthless and Ivory" by MujerN 0

Posted by
(banner made by time_lights)

"She finds every corpse he hides. She follows every trail he leaves behind. A ribbon. A clue. A crime. She doesn't know he'll do anything to keep her alive."  ~ MujerN

Known as the Red Ribbon Assassin, Edward Masen is adept at what he does—killing. With his lucky gun, Ivory, by his side and his symbolic red ribbon that he leaves behind at his every crime, Edward knows exactly what he is doing and that he can never be caught. But when journalist Bella Swan happens to find said ribbon at one of the crime scenes, she knows it's a huge deal for her since she will be able to take a lead on the assassin's case. The question is: how will that sole clue help her in tracking him down? Well, it turns out that she doesn't have to, because he already seems to know her. When a certain attack by an old friend goes wrong, it's the green-eyed man with his pockets full of the all-too-familiar red ribbon that saves her from going down in ashes. Oddly enough, she feels comforted in the arms of this strange man...

When Bella opens her eyes, she finds herself in a completely unknown place and trapped with three unfamiliar faces staring down at her: Dr. Carlisle Cullen, his daughter, Alice Cullen, and her “kidnapper,” Edward. After a brief introduction, Bella is more than panicked about the entire situation and it does not help that the assassin is put in charge of keeping tabs on her at all times. Unfortunately for Bella, she does not realize that the people whom she fears are actually the people that want to protect her. It takes a while before she gets used to the idea of this Adonis of a killer, with a tattoo of vines running up his neck, taking care of her. But there are still many questions unanswered in her mind. Why was Edward in this “business” and what does it involve? How did they know her and why do they claim to protect her? And most of all, why was she finding herself falling dangerously in love with Edward Masen?

I cannot emphasize enough on how much I adore this story! I have been around in the Twilight Fandom for over five years now and have read over four hundred fanfictions, but Ruthless and Ivory is definitely in my top favorite five list. MujerN has weaved together such an amazing story that will raise goosebumps and curl your toes with every single chapter. This story is a continuation from the author's one shot Red Ribbon, and I am so very thankful to her that she decided to make a whole story out of it. The two paragraphs above don't even begin to describe this roller-coaster. I could write pages about it, but I don't want to reveal or spoil anything within this fabulous plot. Each chapter will have you gasping and will pull out an emotion within that you didn’t know was possible for such a premise! The story's unexpected twists all lead up to one main plot-line perfectly mid-way through the story, and from then on the couple embark on an even more dangerous run to achieve their goal. Through all of the running, killing, and blood, there is also deep affection, love, and toe-curling lust—a phenomenal mix. Don't hesitate to read this story over and over again to fall in love with a hot, ruthless Tattward combined with a determined Bella fighting for their love. A MUST read!!!

Ruthless and Ivory is a HEA, consists of 33 chapters and a total of 256,786 words. The story is rated MA for some graphic scenes, foul language, and sexual content.

"Truths, Lies, and Alibies" by eternally Addicted 0

Bella Swan is one of the best in her field: a first-class FBI profiler, who seems to be able to read people's minds like no other. What hardly anyone knows is that Bella is gifted. Just like her grandmother, she is able to sense people's feelings and emotions and can tell right away when someone is lying or purposely omitting important information. It is exactly what helped her bring serial killer James Reynolds behind bars, yet also what will change her life irrevocably. Because not long after Reynolds goes to prison, Bella begins to receive mysterious packages: apples with little "love notes". To her supervisor Emmett McCarty it becomes clear right away that the "gifts" must have been sent by Reynolds through an accomplice and he thinks Bella to be in grave danger. He is able to convince her to stay with her grandmother in Capri, Italy, for a couple of weeks until he manages to solve the problem. To make absolutely sure that Bella is protected, Emmett sends his old friend Edward Cullen, former soldier in the Army and now specialized in security, to keep an eye on her, but refrains from telling Bella...

And so, together with his best friend Jasper Whitlock, Edward flies to Capri and starts watching Bella. Though he knows he should keep a professional distance, one look at her is enough to put a spell on him. Edward is absolutely mesmerized by the brunette beauty living with her grandmother and cannot for the life of him stay away from her. So he approaches her on the beach and what follows are romantic and very intense days. Bella confides in Edward with regards to her gift and also admits that, for whatever reason, she is unable to read him. He takes in her confession in a stride and the two get closer and closer. However, when Bella finds a package of apples at her gran's house, their bubble bursts and all three have to fly back to Seattle. It is then that Bella starts doubting Edward's intentions and cannot ignore the coincidence that the hideout is "found" just shortly after she met the bronze-haired adonis. Is he the accomplice of James Reynolds?

In this story, the author takes the gift that was originally assigned to Jasper in the books and hands it over to Bella. However, the fact that, for the first time in her life, she meets someone, whose emotions she cannot make out, resembles Edward's situation in Stephenie Meyer's vampire series. The Bella in Truth, Lies, and Alibies has always relied on her gift (even though she's condemned it for the majority of her life) and has difficulties dealing with the fact that she now has to rely on her instincts and her instincts alone. She needs to trust Edward and her colleagues, something that doesn't come easily to her. She feels drawn to Edward yet doesn't know what's right and wrong. Her struggle to find a way to deal with the situation takes over a good part of the story. The rest is dedicated to hunting the bad guy, something that is cleverly written and quite suspenseful. Edward's character is very sweet and protective and doesn't hesitate to openly show the affections (and possessiveness) he feels towards Bella. The story is written from both Bella and Edward's POV and has some nice, though not overly graphic lemons. It's a good, long read!

Truth, Lies, and Alibies consists of 32 chapters and a total of 291,022 words. The story is rated MA for violence, foul language, and sexual content.

"Agent 00hot" by maxandmo 0

(banner made by Jaime)

On a night-out with her new colleagues, Parole Officer Bella Swan meets FBI agent Edward Cullen. Though she feels drawn to him right away and he seems to be intrigued as well, Bella is certain that a man of Edward's caliber would never be interested in a plain Jane like her. Edward is the epitome of manliness, he wears trendy clothes, has perfectly styled hair, and oozes sex appeal. In a nutshell, he is a living and breathing adonis, while she is nothing but average. What Bella doesn't know is that Edward considers the beautiful brunette anything but plain and cannot seem to get her out of his head. Too bad that he is still in a relationship with Tanya. A relationship that he knows will never have a future, but a relationship nonetheless. Still, he cannot ignore the... feelings he has for Bella and the fact that he keeps running into her doesn't help a bit. And so he gets in a lot of trouble when he screams out the name of the wonderful woman with the chocolate-colored eyes while sleeping with Tanya...

Though Edward can somehow save the day by quickly coming up with a lie, the moment Tanya sees him and Bella at a bar, things get out of control. Bella is heartbroken that the man who had just pressed his body as close to hers as possible while dancing and had kissed the hell out of her hours before, is actually involved with someone else. As she already harbors deep feelings for him, she goes home more than hurt and disappointed, wallowing in her self-pity. That is, until her wonderful friends Rose and Alice tell her what happened after she left the bar...

Yes, the story might not have the most brilliant title, and I admit that this was exactly what kept me from reading it in the beginning, but I promise you the plot is incredibly funny and suspensful! But first, let me say a few things about Edward, who, in the beginning of this story, is nothing short of a cocky and arrogant bastard. He calls himself a metrosexual for a good reason as he more than cares about the way he looks (that includes well-shaped eyebrows) Just picture him as a mixture of David Beckam and Jonathan Rhys Meyers - impeccably dress yet probably too hot for your own good. Being with Bella changes that, however, and to his defense it needs to be said that he is also a very good agent (something that will become clear towards the end of the story when the plot thickens). He and Bella share a love for the justice system, Harleys, and the Mariners, and soon come to a place in their relationship where there is no going back. The story is written from both character's POV and includes some nice lemons! Oh, and you will probably pi** yourselves laughing over Bella's bed luck and clumsiness, not to mention Edward's crazy mother Esme - it's hilarious, guys, trust me with this!

Agent 00hot consists of 38 chapters and a total of 127,833 words. The story is rated M for lemons and foul language.

"Ethics Be Damned" by Krazyk85 0

Posted by
(banner made by Jaime)

Together with her close friend Alice, twenty-eight year old Bella Swan works for the Seattle Police Department as a detective for the narcotics division. When FBI agent Rosalie Hale comes into the department to ask for reinforcements in order to bring down a drug ring involving juveniles, she assigns three of the most youthful looking members of the team to pose as high school: Alice, Bella, and Emmett. Once at school, their goal is to try and find out who is dealing with illegal drugs and where they're coming from. They have to make sure that they act and behave like young adolescents and to not stick out too much. For the most part, the assignment doesn’t appear to be very difficult… That is until Bella meets her handsome new English teacher: Mr. Edward Masen.

Edward Masen hasn’t dated much after breaking up with his girlfriend of five years and in turn, throws himself into his work. However, having an interest in dating or not, Edward is the object of many affections and heavily lusted after by the majority of the school’s females - both students and staff. Edward never cared about the attention he receives, that is, until he meets a new student that he begins to have a hard time resisting. To Edward, Bella’s a beautiful and intelligent student with a bright future, and to whom he feels an incredible attraction. Though he fights hard to get romantically involved with her, the moment comes when they can no longer fight the connection between them. Being together brings risks for both of them: Edward could lose his job for initiating a relationship with a ‘student’ and Bella feels the need to protect Edward from the dangers of her job. But when both are faced with a moral dilemma, will ethics be damned?

I stumbled upon Ethics Be Damned after reading another one of Krazyk85’s fanfictions. Though every one of her stories has a different style, they’re all very well written and will hook the reader. The story is written in both Edward’s and Bella’s point of view. It’s safe to say that it didn’t take me very long to finish it. The characters are different from the original we fell in love with: they’re rougher around the edges, having been hardened by life but they’re just as dazzling. Krazyk85 does a wonderful job with the details of the investigation told in this story as well as the moral issues that come along with having relationships such as Bella and Edward do in this story. This is not a story to miss! It’s a great read and goes by faster than it probably should.

Ethics Be Damned consists of 35 chapters and 197,691 words. It is rated Rated MA for violence, sexual content, and language.

"My Sweet Variable" by LifeInTheSnow 1

Posted by
(banner made by Jaime)

Mathematic genius Bella Swan and science geek Edward Cullen seem like ordinary high school students. Two boring teenagers, who seem to not know each other and go through the usual high school drama with their friends. But in reality, however, the two of them know each other really well and are so much more than mere students at Forks High. They are trained undercover agents taken in because of their incredible intelligence and given assignments to assassinate targets on a regular basis. And even though the people they kill are involved in some pretty severe illegal activities, Bella and Edward feel guilt over the fact that they are in fact murdering a human being. Innocent or not, it is not easy to have someone else's blood on your hands, and that is exactly the case for our dear couple. But they are hanging on, at least until they turn nineteen, because that is when they will be allowed to finally be free from their organization and be the normal teenagers that they want to be. But until then, they are under constant observation by their boss Aro, who is able to hear every conversation they carry through microphones. What will happen when he wants them to kill innocent people? Can the two lovers somehow find a way to escape from the organization?

LifeInTheSnow has written a short, but a wonderful story that is very much under-appreciated! The plot is very unusual and will surprise you in each chapter with its unexpected twists and turns. Furthermore, you will definitely be able to connect with the characters and feel their desperation to be normal teenagers and stop all the bloodbath. So when they finally start finding clues to breach the organization that they work in, they take it up on themselves to destroy Aro and his plans to kill innocent people. But the task is not as easy as it seems and the hurdles in their way is something that they have to figure out together. The question is - will they be able to get away from the problems that come their way? This is a story that definitely should not be missed at all, especially not if you are fan of mysterious undercover agent work! The author uses very vivid details which makes the fanfiction so much more entertaining. The best part is that the story is written in third person's perspective, so it is really easy to follow the events that are happening within the fanfic. Even though My Sweet Variable only consists of eighteen chapters, you will be amazed how well-structured and fantastic this story is. I highly recommend it! I promise it won't disappoint at all!

My Sweet Variable consists of 18 chapters and 69,798 words. The story is rated M for language and some sexual reference.

"Guardian Agent" by archer24 0

(banner made by Mina)

Bella Swan never had the luxury of having normal parents. With a father who constantly abused her and a mother who never spent a single moment without telling her how ugly she was, she lead a rather pitiful existence. So it is no surprise that she didn't feel any kind of grief when she is given the news of her parents' unexpected death. After three years in foster care, Bella is adopted by the mysterious Marcus, the boss of the "Meyer Academy" - a secret spy school. Without hesitation she accepts the offer to get trained at the academy. Bella works hard and soon becomes the most successful agent in her team. She's smart, athletic, and absolutely lethal.

One day, Bella is given a mission that doesn't really go along with what she's done in the past. Though she usually only works in assassination cases, Marcus now asks her to become the guardian of Edward Cullen. Edward is a high school student from Forks, Washington and apparently, someone likes to see him dead. Bella now has to pose as a seventeen-year old junior and follows Edward wherever he goes. She eventually manages to break through his egotistical shell, discovers what kind of guy he really is, and why he puts on such a rude mask.

If you have read any of archer24's previous stories I don't have to tell you that she is a great writer, who often let's her characters work with the latest and coolest technical equipment! The story really pulls you in from the very first sentence and before you know it you will lose yourself in the continuous drama and humor that was woven into this fanfiction. Bella's self-discovery is very realistically portrayed, as is the way she reveals Edward's true personality. Emmett and Alice add a good amount of humor to a story, that isn't completely free of grammatical mistakes, but still nothing short of amazing! It's like watching a combination of a spy movie and a romantic comedy!

Guardian Agent consists of 28 chapters and 122,698 words. The story is rated T for some kissing and very brief violence/mention of abuse.

"It's Murder" by ElleD'Amore 0

Posted by Anonymous

Detective Inspectors Edward Cullen and Bella Swan work like a perfectly oiled machine. For years, they have been solving murder cases in and around Boston and have spent more time with each other than apart. Slowly, their professional relationship developes into a close friendship as they start sharing their innermost fears, wants, and thoughts with the one another.
Whenever they've successfully closed a case or need to work extra hours, they stay in Bella's small bedroom apartment, talking and laughing. And even though Edward could easily go to his far more luxurious uptown flat he prefers staying with Bella as often as he can (sleeping on the way too small sofa) and often spoils her by cooking great meals. Life could be really good for both of them...

...if it weren't for Edward's growing desire to be with Bella. Really be with her. Unfortunately for Edward Bella has made it abundantly clear from the very beginning that she would never get involved with the men she worked with - no matter how smart and sexy-looking they might be. And so, for as long as they know each other, the two have enjoyed casual flings instead of serious relationships. Too bad that Edward begins to realize that, more often than not, he thinks about his beautiful brunette partner rather than of the blonde bombshell lying beneath him. And when he notices the green monster appearing whenever Bella goes on a "date", Edward knows he is in way too deep. Can he convince Bella to overcome her fear of commitment and admit her feelings for him? And does Bella really don't mind when Edward goes home with another woman?

When I saw that It's Murder is acutally ElleD'Amore's debut as a Twilight fanfiction writer I had hard times believing it. The story is immensely well-written and contains a lot of humor. The dialogue is full of wit and esprit and the characters are immensely entertaining. Yes, some passage are a tid-bit too long (especially the parts when we get a glimpse of Edward's and Bella's thoughts) but the nice plot really makes up for that. From the very beginning the reader is somewhat on Edward's side and watches how he tries to get Bella to admit her feelings. Our little firecracker shows a lot of resistance but Edward wouldn't be Edward if he didn't know ways around that! This story is highly recommendable!

It's Murder consists of 33 chapters and 200,811 words. The story is rated M for lemons, violence, and profanities.

"Behind Enemy Lines" by Namariel 0

Posted by Anonymous

Black Hawk pilot Edward Cullen and his team are sent on a rescue mission. Two American cititzens, foreign correspondent Alice Brandon and her photographer Isabella Swan, are stuck behind enemy lines and are waiting to be picked up. Though in the beginning, everything seems to go according to plan, Edward and his crew get attacked before they can reach the women. The Black Hawk is taken down and the U.S. marines grab their protégés and escape into the woods. It isn't until Edward allows his team some rest that he is finally able to take a good look at the reason for the current plight he finds himself in.

And he likes what he sees, even though he wouldn't admit it. Bella Swan is not only incredibly beautiful but also very clever. She is able to read Edward like no other and forces him to finally confront his past. Though he is pissed at her for being stubborn and a smartass, he also feels an immense pull towards her and knows she's harboring her own secrets. Soon, his mission not only entails to get his friends the hell out of the war zone but also to save the love of his life.

Behind Enemy Lines is absolutely underrated. No, underrated doesn't quite catch it, overlooked is probably more like it. Neglected. Ignored. And I don't know why because this fanfiction has it all: a gripping plot, a great writing style, humor (Edward is the king of sarcasm, let me tell you), and lemons (towards the end of the story). What I also like very much about Behind Enemy Lines is that it is politcally correct, so to speak. At no point during the story is the country the U.S. is at war with identified. Instead only vague descriptions and hints are given which allows the reader a lot of room for his/her own imagination. Namariel's fanfiction doesn't deserve to only have a little more than 100 reviews it is should have at least 1000 more!

Behind Enemy Lines consists of 17 chapters and a total of 78,302 words. The story is rated MA for graphic violence, foul language, and lemons. Please only read this fanfiction if your at least 18 years old.

"Ride" by Kris Salvador 0

Posted by

Though one could assume that being the daughter of the chief of police was a definite guarantee for good and virtuous behavior, Bella Swan proves that the very opposite is also possible. The young college student wants nothing more than to have one of her greatest fantasies fulfilled: getting groped on a train. And even though her wish is eventually granted by the mysterious Edward Cullen, Bella gets more than she had originally bargained for. While she can't find it in herself to fully trust her sexy new companion, she is also unable to stay away from him. To make matters even more complicated, Bella decides to follow in her father's path and become a member of the law enforment...

Surprisingly, Edward neither feels the need to deter Bella from her studies nor to get her in trouble by implicating her in his plot. As he is as unwilling as Bella to keep his distance, the young brunette gets the chance to experience first hand what Edward's daily life looks like. Soon, Bella realizes that there is a lot more to Edward than theft and violence - a softer, better side. Yet, even though her feelings for him grow by the hour and she is unsure what the definition of their relationship is, it doesn't change the fact that he is what he is, a criminal. And it will soon be Bella's job to catch him - will she look the other way while Edward plans the heist of his life?

I swear, this Edward was made for me. Probably the best Badboyward I've ever read. He's covered in tatts, he steals cars, he fu**s like an animal. Yeah, the lemons are plentiful and so, so good! I also really loved Edward's genius mind. The heist he plan is carefully laid out and intricate, which makes the story so much more realistic. Every detail is thought out, even his involvement with Bella which made my jaw drop. Furthermore, Edward loves to steal cars and that's that - no change of heart, no giving it up fo love. Yeah, he's so hot! And even though I found some spelling erros, that didn't detract from the story in any way. Overall, this fic is easily in my top 5 fave fics (I say that a lot *lol*). If you like and Edward, who doesn't give a fu**, I can highly recommend this story!

Ride consists of 19 chapters and a total of 67,524 words. The story is rated MA for lemons, violence, and foul language and thus only recommendable for readers 18 years and older.

"Blood & Glory" by drotuno 0

Posted by Anonymous

Though Bella and Edward have only seen each other once in their lives they can't forget each other. At the age of 13 the two spend an afternoon together in Bella's tree house while their fathers Charlie and Carlisle talk shop and reminisce about old times. For the first time, Edward feels like someone doesn't mind his stutter and quiet demeanor and Bella finally found someone who knows what it's like to lose your mother. About 13 years later, Edward and Bella finally meet again - though under less than perfect circumstances...

Bella Swan always wanted to be an FBI agent. Yet a sick aunt and a disapproving father prevented her from completing her training. She decides to open her own P.I. office in California and along with the help of computer geek Alice Brandon and talented artist Makenna Coleman, she chases unfaithful husbands and wives.
One day, after a successful day at work, Bella gets a phone call from her godfather Carlisle. He tells her that there is something he needs to tell her but that he would rather like to do it in person. Carlisle asks Bella to go to a hotel room and wait for him there. However, the person who visits Bella shortly after is not her father's longtime friend but a brutal assassin. And it seems as if the only person who can save her has emerald green eyes...

Blood & Glory is a f*** awesome story! It's full of twists and surprises and the suspense will make it difficult for you to put the fanfiction away. The characters are wonderfully portrayed, even the two new ones, Makenna and Mikey. Every one has something he is good in: Carlisle's the brain, Emmett the weapon expert, Jasper the sniper, Makenna the artist, Alice and Ben the geeks, and so on and so forth. This is a thriller extraordinaire - you won't be bored for even a second!

Blood & Glory consists of 33 chapters and a total of 302,953 words. The story is rated MA for violence and graphic description of sexual activities. If you are under the age of 18, I'll really advise you not to read the fanfiction! Two sequels have already been published: Sin & Innocence and Smoke & Mirrors.

"Edward Cullen, Dick For Hire" by FictionFreak95 0

Posted by Anonymous

After a memorable incident in his past Edward is convinced that all police officers sooner or later end up being corrupted. Thus instead of following his older brother Emmett and joining the DC police department Edward decides to become a private investigator. And a good, mind you.

One day, after taking photos of the major cheating on his wife Edward makes it back to his office and starts developing the pictures. He hears how a woman enters and asks her to wait until he's done. Too late. Bella Swan opens the door to the dark room, exposes the negatives to light, and ruins Edward's day. She then introduces herself as the new competition in town and leaves. Later, Edward finds out that alluring Ms. Swan is a P.I. herself and was hired by the major to destroy the photos. From then on, Bella and Edward happen to cross paths several times and soon realize that they're highly attracted to each other. When they are more or less forced to work together, the tension is getting almost unbearable

This fanfiction was written by the very talented FictionFreak95. Like almost all of her stories, Edward Cullen, Dick for Hire is impeccably written and absolutely engaging. The plot is thrilling and reminds you of a detective novel or an episode of Law and Order. The characters have depth and are absolutely believable. Bella and Edward have charm, brainpower, humor, and sex appeal. Because there are more chapters written from Edwards point of view the reader learns especially much about his character and problems. Must read!

Edward Cullen, Dick For Hire consists of 29 chapters and a total of 257,042 words. The story is rated MA for highly for mature content. A sequel has already been published, The Dick In Me.
