"Under My Nose" by gabby1017 0

Edward Cullen, nearing his thirtieth birthday and sick of the dating scene, decides to finally go and search for 'the one' for him. The restaurant owner wants to experience a real relationship with the girl of his dreams. He just needs to find her. In the French Quarter of New Orleans, he comes up with a quirky plan - he decides to drive romantic carriage rides for couples in order to better understand their connections. Armed with a carriage and a donkey, Edward is determined to figure out what makes true love and why, exactly, he can't seem to find it. Then comes Bella - a curvy, beignet-making personality who runs into Edward at her job in a restaurant. She has a feisty, yet bubbly persona that instantly attracts Edward's attention. Can they find love in New Orleans? Or has this carriage ride reached its end?

This has got to be one of the cutest stories I've read on FanFiction. This Edward is just such a change from all the others that I've read. He is genuinely sweet and well-meaning. His thoughts on love are so old-school and wonderful that it just warms your heart. It's a breath of fresh air and a trip back to chivalry. Bella is just as likable. She's curvy and completely confident. She rocks her bubbly, friendly personality throughout the whole story. The two of them together is nothing short of brilliant. gabby1017 does a truly great job with these characters. Do not miss out on this wonderful, insanely cute story!

Under My Nose consists of 46 chapters and 182,588 words. This story is rated MA for lemons and limes and all sorts of citrus.

"Holding On and Letting Go" by Jenny0719 0

When Edward found out that his Nana is suffering from cancer, he drops everything and rushes to the small town of Masen Valley - where he grew up - to see her. Being back in that town with his adopted daughter Ella brings back all sorts of memories; memories he wanted to escape from, memories that had led him to leave the place and settle in Jacksonville to build his career as a contractor. But his Nana had taken him and his sister Rosalie in when they had no one, and she was the mother figure in their lives; the least Edward could do was be with her during her final days. Watching your loved one wither away right before your eyes is not something easy, and Edward takes it particularly hard with his deep connection with his Nana as well as the place he was in. He just wanted to rewind time and go back to Jacksonville with his daughter again, where things were stable. Just when he thought he couldn't take it anymore, he gets called down by an old Mrs Cope to fix up a worn down house that she was planning to loan to a young brunette - Isabella.

When the two meet, they feel something between them that neither of them has felt for a long time now. Edward's frequent visits to Bella's house makes the two of them bond, and Edward finds out that he is not the only one broken here. Bella has come down to Masen Valley for her own escape of sorts and she is dealing with her own issues. As time goes on, Bella - who finally decides to follow her dreams of being a photographer - becomes extremely close to Edward's darling daughter Ella and the southern drawled man himself, Edward. The two of them fall in love together and Bella is more than happy to take on the role of being Ella's mother. With so many things to hold on to, will the two of them be able to share their significant pasts with each other and let that go? Will Nana's passing away be too much for Edward to bear that he will want to leave for Jacksonville?

Holding On and Letting Go is a story that captures realism and teaches you about what things you really need to embrace in life. Both the characters in here have something of their own to deal with, and when they meet with each other, they realize that there are some things worth giving up for and others that simply shouldn't get out of your hands. The fanfiction is much too underrated for the wonderful plot-line and very few - if any - grammatical errors. Jenny0719 was really creative with this story and you will be surprised at many of the twists and turns on this roller-coaster. All I say is, don't miss it! Edward and Bella have a fabulous chemistry between them and their personalities - especially Edward's - will thaw at your heart. Ella, Edward's daughter is just the icing on the cake who makes both of their lives even more beautiful than it already is. Oh, and did I mention that Edward's southern accent it absolutely amazing?! So don't wait too much and enjoy this emotion-filled story as soon as you can!

Holding On and Letting Go consists of 28 chapters and a total of 138,011 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual content.

"Bear Creek Road" by Jonesn 6

Posted by
(banner made by Mina)

After going through a severe heart-break, Bella decides to move out permanently to a little, dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere in a small town named Forks. The seclusion from the outside world is exactly what she needs right about now, not wanting to deal with anyone. Call her crazy, but she was content with the early down payment she gave Alice—the overly zealous landlord—even though the house was in major need of several repairs. But Alice seems to have figured it all out for her, presenting her husband Jasper and brother Edward to come in the following day to fix everything up over the course of the week. While Jasper is a nice and comforting fellow to meet, Edward is just the opposite. With a thick beard upon him and the wildest of bronze hair upon his head, he smelled all soap and sawdust from a slab of freshly cut lumber. All manly and sickly hot despite his mysterious, brooding self. His inability to be friendly around anyone shocks Bella, discovering that he too has gone through something terrible in his past.

Despite their inner conflicts, the two can't help but connect eyes every time they are near each other. It's like there is an invisible magnetic pull that cannot keep them apart. The intense energy is something neither of them can ignore, and before they realize it, something very sensual begins between the two. The raw passion is there, the spark is there, and the sex is much more than just mind-blowing. But why won't he show any emotions towards her? Why would he turn away every time she went up on her toes to kiss him or even caress his face? What happened to this handsome, yet broken man that she just can't seem to grasp?Drowned by their pasts, both Bella and Edward definitely know how to comfort each other physically, but will they—especially Edward—be able to realize that deep inside their heart, love is blooming?

Bear Creek Road is one of my favorite fics out there and I think it deserves a read by everyone who loves a classic Twilight tale. What I absolutely loved about this story is that both our main characters are more than rough-edged because of their life experiences, but they still come together and create such an amazing chemistry. Jonesn's writing style was full-proof of any grammatical mistakes and the creative flow made the story all the more sensuous. Grab on to your undies, dear readers because this one has some seriously hawt lemons that will leave you perspiring—no kidding! Your heart will love and cry in this fanfiction and when the two finally find their HEA at the end of the story, you will find yourself wanting to go back and re-read the entire thing all over again. I would definitely list this as a MUST read, so go get yourself some sexy beard-ward!

Bear Creek Road consists of 22 chapters and a total of 81,312 words. The story is rated M for language, and hot lemons.

"Spin & Sway" by pattyrose 0

Posted by Anonymous

A few months ago, Edward Cullen's life changed drastically. The days that were filled with drinking himself into oblivion, wasting both his talents and future, were immediately over when he is told that his brother Jasper and lovely sister-in-law Alice had died in a car accident. A drunk driver had hit their car full force and killed them both in an instant. As neither Alice nor Jasper had good relationships with their respective parents, they decided a long time ago that, should something happen to them, they would want Edward to take care of their daughter Melody. So within 24 hours, Edward had to sober up and become the sole guardian of his 12-year-old niece. He started attending AA meetings and found a job as a construction worker with S&D. Every day, he struggles not only with his alcohol addiction but also with his self-reproaches and his desire of being a good father-figure for Mel. But raising a teenage girl is everything but easy, especially as a man...

Needless to say, Edward is less than thrilled when Mel lets him in on her plans to take dancing lessons. Baila's School of Dance is where the young girl wants to have her lessons and she somewhat convinces her uncle to at least check the place out. Once there, Edward meets Bella, owner of the dance school and the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. With her honey-colored skin and dark, chocolate-brown eyes, the latina really does a number on him. It doesn't help that she is also incredibly nice, an astounding dancer, and someone Mel seems to look up to. So even though he cannot really afford it, Edward signs his niece up for dancing lessons. Unfortunately, her classes coincide with his AA meetings resulting in Mel hanging around the dance school long after the lesson is over. After Bella confronts the handsome hunk with his tardiness she offers to help him out by taking Mel to her place and looking after her until her sexy uncle is done with whatever it is he's doing. She likes the feisty teenager and it also doesn't hurt that this means she'd see Edward a lot more often than before...

It's a fu**ing pattyrose story, what more is there to say? Spin & Sway takes you on a wonderful yet slightly bumpy ride and introduces you to BlueCollward, Dancerella, and lots of love and passion on the way. This is a fanfiction in which both Edward and Bella carry a lot of baggage on their shoulders and while the reader knows right away what Edward's problems are, Bella's secret is only revealed step by step. The fact that both of them know about the hardship that life can throw at you as well as their mutual love for Mel eventually allows the two to establish intense yet tender feelings for each other. They begin helping each other through each and every problem, even though Edward has more difficulties letting his demons go than Bella. That said, the story is written from both characters' point of view without including too many repetitions. pattyrose's characters as well as the plot in Spin & Sway are immensely realistic and draw you in from the very first chapter. It is one of those fanfics that you impatiently for to update and you drop everything the moment it does. Read this, it will blow you away!

So far, Spin & Sway consists of 34 chapters and 165,494 words. For now, the story is rated M for lemons, foul language, and angst.

"Proud" by jennde 0

Posted by Anonymous

Edward Masen is having a difficult time making ends meet. Five years ago, his girlfriend told him that she was pregnant with his child and she was considering an abortion as she didn't see herself as a mother. The thing was, Edward saw himself as a father and so, after a lot of begging and talking, he became the sole responsibility of Madeline "Maddie" Masen. Without any kind of contact with his daughter's biological mother and without the support of his family, Edward raised the little girl on his own and begins working as a carpenter for "McCarty Custom Cabinetry". Though he doesn't earn much, it is enough to feed Maddie and make sure the two of them have a roof over their heads, but the exclusive private school Edward has in mind for her looks far out of his reach. Yet instead of giving up, the young man works harder than ever before and finds himself standing in the kitchen of an expensive looking villa, building special and intricately designed cabinets. That's when he comes face to face with the owner of the house, Isabella Martin.

The first couple of times when Edward talks or runs into Isabella, she seems to be like every other snobbish housewife he's come across in his line of work. The woman is insanely arrogant and rude, though incredibly beautiful and attractive. However, there is something mysterious about her as well, something Edward really cannot seem to figure out. For example, he would really like to know where she disappears to twice a week and why she seems so eager to get the kitchen remodelling done as fast as possible. He also cannot help but notice that she can actually be sweet and caring, yet that she closes herself off and becomes cold whenever her constantly-absent husband makes an appearance. It isn't until Maddie has to be hospitalized with an astma attack that Edward and Isabella cross paths outside of work and get to know each other better...

Proud is an extremely well-written entry for the Fictionista Witfit Prompts 2011-2012. The one-word prompts given to the participants were used by jennde in such a way as that they appear within the chapter, work as its chapter title, and also describe the general mood in it. Proud is written exclusively from Edward's point of view, which enables the reader to get a good look at his difficult and very complicated life. Being a single father, even though he loves Maddie to death, is slowly taking a toll on Edward and the moment he lets Bella and his estranged family in a bit, he cannot help but feel more relaxed and less alone. However, Edward is a hard-working and honest guy, who gives up pretty much whatever is left of his social life to get his daughter into the best school possible. He has been on his own for too long and getting help from an awfully rich woman he has strange feelings for, doesn't go along with his pride very well. Giving up a part of himself is difficult for him to do, much less letting friends and family in and allowing them to help every once in a while. This wonderful fanfic is definitely worth the read. It realistically portrays how a young father tries to give his daughter a future and a better life. He has a carefully laid out plan but forgot to add love to the equation. ;-)

Proud consists of 68 chapters and a total of 109,910 words. The story is rated M for very tame lemons, foul language, some angst.

"Down Home" by MrsSpaceCowboy 0

 (banner made by Jaime)

It's been a while since Bella has come back home to visit her family. Rather than spending time in Quitman, the small town in Mississippi she grew up in, Bella prefers staying in Jackson with her friends Jessica and Alice. But alas, every once in a while, one has to see the family and as Bella is currently on semester break, she decides to use that opportunity and drives down home. There, she is immediately dragged into the next bar by her gorgeous sister Tanya and runs straight into Edward Cullen. Edward has been Bella's secret crush since High School, where an unfortunate misunderstanding has prevented them from getting closer. Now, three years later, he still manages to make her heart beat quicker and gets her all flustered, but she refuses to only be one of his flings. What she doesn't know is that Edward's wild days are long gone (if they even existed in the first place) and that he longs to have a second chance with her. He was never really able to get her out of his mind, whether he used to be engaged or not, and now that she is back in town, he is willing to really get to know her. So the two go on date after date and get closer. Over the summer, they both learn a lot of new things about the other (and themselves) that astound and scare them. Edward is in the middle of building his own house and struggles with his decision to become a doctor. Bella feels insecure about her feelings for Edward, especially because she tends to run into women with whom he was involved at some point in time. Thinking that he still pines after his former fiancé, Bella decides to "let him go". Already in too deep, she leave her love behind and goes back to Jackson...

Down Home was written as an entry for the "The Heart of Country" contest and won pretty much every important prize that was awarded, including "1st Place Gentlemen Wear White Award (Swooniest Fella)". And what a swoony fella Edward is! He is a full-blown Southern boy, complete with Stetson and accent. His love for working outdoors brings Bella and the reader a lot of joy as that means at one point in time, he is going to lose his shirt *giggles*. He also wants his girl to spend the rest of his life with him and once Bella sees some reason, he doesn't hold back on telling her exactly that every opportunity he gets. The story is written from BPOV and EPOV, though the latter doesn't come until later in the story. The lemons are not overly graphic but sweetly written and lots of humor comes from the Chief a.k.a. Charlie, who scares Edward only a little bit. It's a lot of fun to read! MrsSpaceCowboy really deserves the praises and awards she's gotten for this little gem!And if you don't believe me, see for yourself!

Down Home consist of 12 chapters and 79,201 words. The story is rated M for tame lemons and some profanities.

"Tapas at Twilight" by Melolabel 0

Posted by Anonymous
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5015969/

After another one of her boss' escapades, Bella Swan decides that enough is enough and finally quits her job as a sous-chef in the esteemed French restaurant 'Le Provencale'. She decides to use this unexpected opportunity and try to make her own mark in the world. Together with her friends and colleagues Alice and Jasper, Bella decides to open her very own restaurant and even manages to find a promising property for her future business. Admittedly, the estate is in dire need of some restoration and dusting but the fact that it also includes a small yet tiny apartment on the first floor - perfect for Bella and her 10-year-old daughter Renesmee - makes it an offer she just can't resist. Yet the fact remains that some things definitely need to be repaired by a professional and so Bella hires a handyman to take care of that. She definitely didn't expect to meet a handsome and unbelievably sexy hunk of a man, who seems to have an instant connection with her daughter...

Edward Cullen was the golden boy among the residents at the Chicago hospital, yet one fatal mistake makes him leave his career as a doctor behind and try to find his luck in craftsmanship. He becomes a very skilled handyman and invests some of his money in an old apartment building. For years, different chefs have rented the ground floor and opened up their businesses there but non was good enough to stay for more than a few months. So it is a pleasant surprise for Edward when he is called to his own building by his new tenant. He feels immediately drawn to the beautiful brunette welcoming him and decides to keep his true 'identity' hidden until they know each other well enough. Edward fears that by introducing himself as her landlord, neighbor (he lives one floor above Bella), and handyman, he might influence his relationship with the pretty chef before it has even begun. All he wants is getting to know her in the most unbiased way possible. Too bad that Bella asked her mother's best friend Esme, a.k.a. Edward's mom, to do the interior design, and that Nessie desperately wants to know who the great piano player is, who lives in the building...

Tapas at Twilight has its pros and cons; let's start with the pros: you will hardly find any kind of angst in this story. Yes, Edward and Bella have somewhat of a rough start but once all the misunderstandings are out of the way, they are just incredibly cute together. Edward's relationship with Nessie is wonderfully written, as is his slight disdain for Jacob, who is more than interested in the little girl. With regards to the cons, let me just say that the story is a bit too long. Though many passages might function as giving away a bit about the characters' backstory and characteristics, they are not absolutely necessary to understand the plot of the fanfiction and tend to not be very interesting for the reader. It takes a comparatively long while until Edward and Bella even meet for the first time. Secondly, this story is T rated, which means no lemons whatsoever. Bella believes in no sex before marriage and so poor Edward has to go through some hard times (no pun intended). And when they have finally tied the knot, the author only hints at their passionate night together but never describes it. So if you are a fan of graphic lemons, this story might not be it for you, but if you are looking for nice fluff, cute Daddyward, and some charming supporting characters, and an unsuspected twist, you should definitely give Tapas at Twilight a chance, a story written from both Bella and Edward's POV.

Tapas at Twilight consists of 126,256 words and 31 chapters. The story is rated T for foul language.

"Tethered" by Jonesn 2

Posted by

Bella's ready to venture out and start over. She's lived a very sheltered life after the death of her father with a man who intends to make Bella his wife. So as soon as she's eighteen she packs her things and jumps into her truck toward... anywhere. But the damn beast breaks down near a wheat field in the middle of nowhere, trapping her in the bed of her truck for the night until morning where she'll soon find herself on the doorstep of one very broken man.

Edward's stuck living a life he never asked for, but one he feels obligated to live. When he's not working in his Papaw's wheat field, he's indulging himself in the very thing he brews for a living. Night after night he drinks himself into unconsciousness and wakes to continue the exact same cycle all over again. That is, until  an unexpected knock at his door breaks through his pattern.

Written in 3rd POV, the story switches between Bella and Edward in perspective, but reads as a drabble. Short chapters and jumpy scene changes. But it works for this fic, I usually stay away from drabbles because I don't like short stories but this one caught my eye. Who doesn't love a dirty, scruffy and broken Edward? There is a lot of angst in this as well and I do love me some angst. The lemons are delicious and hot and I enjoyed every bit of this story. Edward's character is so complex and broken and you just want to fix him sooo bad! Bella is young and naive and you just want to hug her soooo bad! Then when you read about these two together you never want the story to end. I really, really, enjoyed this fic and I hope you guys will, too.

Tethered consists of 41 chapters and 18,691 words. It is rated MA for lemons and language.

"The Ride of Your Life" by Forever-Liz 0

Posted by Anonymous

After one of her four-graders, Masen Cullen, chose a rather... colorful language to deal with one of his annoying classmates his teacher, Bella Swan, invites his parents to a meeting. She definitely didn't expect to come face-to-face with the most handsome young man she had ever seen. Edward Cullen was not only tall and muscular, he also sported a number of tattoos and, to put it mildly, a massive hard on. The two get down to business and talk but are constantly distracted by the unmistakable air of lust and tension surrounding them. And so, after only a couple of minutes of small talk (in which Edward assures Bella that there is no Mrs. Cullen), Edward and Bella find themselves in the middle of a hot make-out session on the piano. And even though they technically don't have sex, they both agree that it was the single most sexual and sensual experience they've ever had in their lives.

So Edward doesn't hesitate and asks for Bella's number and for the next couple of days, the two text and talk over the phone. On their first semi-date on Sunday, Bella invites her crush over to her beach house (the story takes place in Florida) and cooks a wonderful dinner. But the two just cannot take their hands off each other and so, after a wonderful evening of witty banter and interesting conversations, they spent a passionate night with one another. And even though Edward and Bella have no doubt that they like each other for more than just the sex, both agree to put their love-making on the hold until they get to know each other better. For the time being, Edward decides to neither tell his son nor his freaky family (he owns his own motorcycle shop, together with his siblings Emmett and Alice and their partners Rose and Jasper) until he really knows where things with Bella go. Also, the fact that Bella began an affair with one of her student's parents, might not go well with the school board...

This story is hot! Right in the first chapter, a wonderful lemon awaits the reader and there are more, oh so much more, on the way. The way Edward and Masen are portrayed in this story is just amazing. Masen is pretty much the spitting image of his father (a chuck-wearing, energized 9-year-old with a potty mouth) and is thus affectionately called Mini-Me by his family. But next to his father's love for video games and Muse, Masen also inherited Edward's musical talent. His fantastic abilities when it comes to playing the piano astound Bella so much that she offers to give him private lessons. Last but not least, The Ride of Your Life is exceptionally well-written and incredibly funny. Whenever Edward is at work and has to deal with nosy Emmett or little troll Alice, I guarantee that you'll cry tears from laughing so hard!

The Ride of Your Life consists of 28 chapters and a total of 210,412 words. The story is rated MA for lemons and foul language.

"Spinning Bottles" by knicnort3 0

If there was one thing that 18-year-old Edward Masen was absolutely sure of, it would've been his love for Bella Swan. So it isn't surprising that, when he decided to go to business school in New York while Bella remained in the small town of Forks, Washington, he had no doubts that their love would prevail and the two of them would remain the amazing couple that they were.

Twelve years later, however, the once so charming young man has turned into a manwhore extraordinaire and ruthless business man. Edward's busy schedule prevented him from keeping in contact with Bella and the latter eventually stopped calling and texting him... that is, until, one day, the 30-year-old receives a small package from his former girlfriend. Drowing the wine it includes Edward falls asleep in the bed of his expensive New York apartment.

When he wakes up, nothing is like it used to be: instead of in New York, Edward is back in Forks. Instead of designer suits, Edward's closet contains Wall-Mart clothes. Instead of having to face his much despised fiancé Tanya, Bella turns out to be his wife... and the mother of his two children...

This story is the Twilight version of the old movie The Family Man. Edward wakes up to what appears to be an alternative universe in which he stayed in Forks and started a family with Bella. In the beginning Edward tries everything in his power to "wake up" and return to his old life, yet he slowly has to realize that being a father and the husband of the love of his life could be what he really needs and wants. A very entertaining story!

Spinning Bottles consists of 31 chapters and a total of 163,489 words. The story is rated M for description of sexual activities.

"Dear Maggie" by Jenny0719 0

Posted by Anonymous

When Bella Swan is informed that she has an irreparable heart defect she believes her life is over. Yet fortunately, the doctors are able to find a donor and successfully transplant a new and healthy heart into her body. Because Bella wants to know more about her donor she is doing some research. She finds out that her new heart once belonged to Maggie Carr, a young woman whose family apparently lived not far from her father Charlie in Forks. Bella doesn't think twice and packs her bags to move to her dad.

Edward Cullen has never been happy his entire life. At the age of 14 and after suffering from hunger, poverty, and parents, who fight more than one addiction, he is adopted by Esme and Carlisle Cullen. Along with his adoptive brothers Emmett and Jasper, Edward moves to Forks, Washington and studies to become a doctor. Yet although the Cullens try to make his life as normal as possible, Edward hardly trusts anyone, refuses to touch others, and hates to be bothered. That changes when Bella Swan walks into his life and starts working for Emmett's garage. Edward wants her, needs her, but refuses to admit it. Convinced he'd hurt her if he got too close, Edward tries to avoid Bella as much as possible. Yet he can't seem to let go of the girl with the big brown eyes...

Dear Maggie is a very emotional and angsty story. Both Edward and Bella are very broken characters as they had to deal with a lot of pain and fear in their lives. Yet while Bella begins to enjoy life, nature, and people even more than before, Edward turns into a brooding, rude, and arrogant young man, who hates himself and the world around him. Bella tries to help Edward as much as possible but can't bring him to see that there are some things worth fighting for in this world and he doesn't have to fight alone. Things get even more complicated when she finds out that Edward is Bella's biological brother!
Dear Maggie is really worth reading, but beware, we're talking angst here!

Dear Maggie consists of 40 chapters and a total of 223,361 words. The story is rated M for mature content and thus only suitable for teens over the age of 16.

"A Rough Start" by ItzMegan73 0

People say there are moments in your life that define you. Edward Cullen is faced with one of them. Out of the blue, he is informed that he has a five-year-old son, Anthony. His mother, and Edward's former girlfriend, Jessica died in a car accident and left no immediate family behind who could take care of Anthony. So all of a sudden, Edward is given custody of a child he never met and his lazy bachelor days are over. With his low paid job at Forks' lumber mill he can hardly provide for himself, let alone a child. Additionally, Anthony's kindergarten teacher, Bella Swan, bothers Edward to no end when she points at his obvious inadequacies as a father.

A Rough Start is a very realistic story. Edward is totally unprepared of becoming a father and has no idea what to do. Because the relationship towards his own parents is close to non-existent, he is only left with the help of his friends and Bella. The latter supports him whenever she can and soon realizes that beneath Edward's hard shell, there is soft core.

A Rough Start consists of 41 chapters and a total of 253,554 words. All characters are human. The story is rated M for mature content.
