"Deep in the Heart of Me" by counselor 0

Since Edward “Tonio” Cullen is the oldest of nine, he carries the weight and responsibilities of being a firstborn on his shoulders. The responsibilities that he holds towards his family have been instilled within him early on, giving him the insight of a grown man in an almost fourteen year old’s body. His personality is an interesting cross between his hard-working/ready-to-fight-for-family Irish father and his fiery, passionate Italian mother. He contemplates that he might be handsome; his 'granma' says it's common knowledge and his dad says, "he won't break a mirror." And although he is accustomed to working long, hard hours on the family farm, often from before sunrise until after sunset, he sometimes wonders what life could be for him beyond just the farm and his duties. Little does he know how soon he will come to find that out...

Everything is as it should be in his world until one day when a sleek black car passes him, his brothers and sisters on the dirt road as they are walking the mile to school, bringing the new sheriff to town to drop off his daughter and turning Tonio's life completely upside down. This new girl is dressed in a crisp new dress and shoes with ribbons in her hair - the prettiest thing he has ever seen. The teacher starts to introduce her as “Isa-”, but her father quickly corrects her saying, “Her name is Sobe.” Not only is Sobe Swan sweet, pretty and smart, but apparently also a harbinger of all kinds of trouble. Trouble not only for a smitten young Tonio’s heart, but a host of other situations, some of which she keeps deeply hidden. Why is her father giving her a different name? What kind of adventures will these two young people experience and what obstacles will they encounter before they can be together?

Deep in the Heart of Me is of course, our beloved counselor’s latest addicting gem in the crown of her many fanfiction accomplishments. My words cannot adequately praise her unique ability to so completely and vividly immerse you into the mindset of her characters that transport you to another place and time; this time through the riveting point of view of young Tonio Cullen! counselor’s superior mastery of words will evoke the rawest of emotions from you, from total disbelief of what is happening, nail-biting suspense of what will happen, complete angst and rage against powers that be, and of course, swooning over the yearning and adoration Tonio has for his beloved Sobe and his determination to let nothing or no one keep them from being together. This coming of age journey is of epic proportions, spanning several years while his character matures and evolves from being reckless and hard-headed to someone with vision and purpose; enduring and surviving many adventures, twists, turns, trials and tribulations on his way to becoming the man he is destined to be, with the woman he is destined to be with. If you are not already reading this, what are you waiting for? You need to click on the link right now and go share this spectacular experience!

Deep in the Heart of Me has 100 Chapters and 155,396 words. It is rated M for themes and content.

"Look How You Turned Out" by counselor 1

"You asked me... if there was something between us. I thought you meant bad feelings. Then you asked if I'm attracted. I tried to be so careful about it," he says.
"Why did you let me go?" I say, and his hand moves from my arm to my face.
"I never let you go."

When Bella Swan arrives back home after months of living in Chicago, everyone - including her father Charlie and his good friend and neighbor Edward - thinks that she is simply there to spend Thanksgiving with her family. However, the real reason for her return to Forks is as simple as it is embarrassing: she has nowhere else to go. After she turned down the proposal of her boyfriend and boss Jacob Black and was subsequently fired from her job at Black Enterprises, she had to give up her apartment in Chicago and saw no other way but to drive right back home. There, in her old room, surrounded by the green woods and with her father's cruiser in the driveway, she completely indulges in her shame... and her love for Edward Cullen. For years, Bella has lusted and longed for her father's deputy - even though he is twelve years her senior, divorced, and has a kid. For her, Edward is everything she'd ever want, yet terribly out of reach. He doesn't seem to see her as anything but Charlie's young daughter, the girl who babysat for Juney every once in a while...

What Bella doesn't know is that Edward has battled with his "inappropriate" feelings for her ever since he saw her at her High School graduation. It was then that something "clicked" in his head and for the first time, he saw her for the beautiful and intriguing woman that she is. Always careful not to outright show his all-consuming feelings for her in her presence or that of her father, Edward struggles for years to keep his sanity. And the little hope he had for having a future with Bella disappears the moment she left town for Chicago, seemingly without looking back. So instead of doing what he wants, Edward does what he thinks is right and starts dating. In Jessica he hopes to have found the woman, who will bring some consistency into his' and Juney's lives. Yet when Bella returns to her hometown, his carefully suppressed feelings come back to the surface and turn his life upside down...

This is the first story by counselor that I've read and I have to admit, when I started it, I expected tons of angst and drama. I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead of disaster waiting around every corner, Look How You Turned Out is full of humor, wit, and lots of love! Yes, there is drama, especially in the beginning when Edward cannot seem to get his head out of his a**, but the majority of the fic is full of sweet and captivating moments. The story is completely written from BPOV, except for two or three times, when Edward takes over for a few paragraphs. Bella really is a one-of-a-kind, the way she thinks is exactly the way she talks and her snappy remarks and hilarious pop culture references will leave no eye dry. Yet she is also insecure and vulnerable, especially when it comes to her dad and Edward. The latter is adorable and, based on the way Bella describes him, a walking wet dream. Though the unique writing style counselor adopted for this story might not be for everyone (you have fragmented sentences, some jumps, repetitions - remember, Bella talks the way she thinks), it fits Bella and the story perfectly. Don't miss out on this brilliant fanfiction!

Look How You Turned Out consists of 80 chapters and 110,223 words. The story is rated M for lemons and profanities.

"Turkey Baster" by counselor 0

Bella Swan has a plan. It may not be a very good plan - or smart, or ethical for that matter - but it’s a plan. An idea made from the love of her big sister Alice, who has just overcome ovarian cancer and cannot have children of her own. So with the help of her best friend Rosalie, Bella is looking for the perfect candidate for Operation Turkey Baster, i.e. a well built, attractive, clean and healthy yet somewhat irresponsible guy who will impregnate her during a one-night-stand.

But of course, nothing ever goes exactly according to plan... Like the fact that Edward Cullen, the man basting her “turkey”, happens to want more with Bella than just one night and won't take no for an answer. Or that he is far from being some random guy she met in a bar, but might have been particularly chosen by Rosalie... When Bella finally starts to reciprocate Edward’s feelings, disaster strikes in the form of a pregnant ex-girlfriend. Which is right around the same time Bella realizes she’s expecting a little Cullen herself.

Counselor needs no introduction when it comes to her amazing stories. She’s well known for taking a simple idea and launching it into what could be a full blown best-selling novel. Lucky for us, she writes for free. She’s also known to use religion in her stories with a very tasteful and enlightening technique. Written in Bella’s point of view, Turkey Baster is not what you think based on the title alone. There is a large amount of angst in the story and very little humor or fluff. This story has a strong backbone and does not stray far from the original plot. The writing holds enough emotion and depth to bring you to tears from sadness, happiness, or even laughter. Counselor has a definite style that makes her writing stand out as it is almost as if the main character is pulling you along for the ride. When they hurt, you hurt. It’s that intense, the words are that powerful. You’re definitely able to recognize and follow the character growth in this story. There are no loose ends, everything wraps up into one beautiful bow. Personally, I've read Turkey Baster four times - it’s one of my top five fics of all time.

Turkey Baster consists of 32 chapters and 66,674 words. The story is rated MA for graphic sexual content, language, violence, and other adult material. Also, please be aware that although there is no scene of the incident itself, Bella is the victim of rape from someone close to home.
