Though Bella would have preferred to stay at home with a good book, she allows an enthusiastic Rosalie to drag her to a small hole-in-the-wall bar. Despite the shady outward appearance, Bella enters to see Emmett’s band setting up for a practice gig on stage. With a beer in hand, she relaxes and waits to see if the hype floating around the band matches the music. That's when the bass player turns around and knocks Bella out of her seat. In front of her is the same guy she had a hot one night stand with last summer. The guy who could have been more had she not pulled a disappearing act before he woke the next day.

Time has been good to Edward, his band is becoming more popular by the day and as Bella is about to learn, he's been hoping to find her. The reunion brings with it many sparks and love blooms faster than either could have anticipated. But with Edward's success comes the rockstar lifestyle and with Bella's new intern spot with The Rocket a popular music magazine, the two must work hard to cope and keep their relationship strong. Will they be successful in managing both their love and work lives?

Part of Me is one of the best written RockStarward fics I've read. I love that Edward isn't cocky or a man whore, he's real and he knows what he wants. I also love how much of an effort he makes to keep his relationship with Bella, you know his feelings are true and he'll do anything for her. The guy is a dream, seriously. Bella is also very understanding and independent, she's not sitting at home by the phone waiting for his call when he's on tour. She's amazing. I love that both characters are their own person with their own goals. That's not to say everything is hearts and flowers between these two. Life as a rockstar has all sorts of temptations that effect the whole band. Bella's determination to make a name for herself as a journalist takes it's toll during a time of need. Both Edward and Bella are two great characters with lives that pull you in until the end... and wanting more.

Part of Me consists of 31 chapters and 90,378 words. This fic is rated MA for drugs, sex, and rock 'n roll.

It is just a coincidence that Bella goes out with her friends to a restaurant/bar named Breeze and comes face to face with it's owner - Edward Cullen. What neither of them expect is the strong pull that exists between them, including the intense sexual tension. A passionate night leads to the binding of two souls, and although they don't think they will see the other again for a while, fate has other plans. Turns out that Edward travels to New York a lot to visit his family, and that Bella is the flight attendant for that very same plane! Destiny couldn't have agreed more for the couple to be together. 

But they both have problems of their own; Edward has a terminally sick sister on her death bed back in New York, and he is trying his best to console her nine year old son and his nephew, Henry by teaching him the thing they both love most - music, via piano specifically. Bella, on the other hand, has gone through a pretty rough relationship in the past, and takes care of her niece Makenna because her sister and Mak's mother - Emily - is busy traveling the world as a doctor. She has yet to return back, and it's almost been out for ten years. Will the two be able to support each other and increase their love for each other at the same time amongst all this family drama?

Co-Written by our very own banner artist - Jaime Arkins! - this story is one that should not be missed by any chance. The chemistry between our Edward and Bella is instantaneous, and the sexual tension is more than palpable as soon as they lay eyes on each other. In addition to the toe-curling lemons written in this fic, there is also a thick plot going on between each of their lives, and it is very heart-warming to see the two support one another so powerfully. The best part about the whole story is that our main characters know that they are meant for each other from the very start; in fact, you will often find Edward saying "Marry me" to Bella! I promise, this story is a perfect mix of humor, love, a little bit of angst, and a lot of sexy times - so don't forget to go and give this a read, you will finish it in no time!

After a terrible road accident, Bella's self esteem went down drastically; if she thought she was even remotely ordinary before, now she believed herself to be completely oblivious to every man around her. The accident left ugly scars on her leg, and she was very self-conscious about the fact that she will always have a metal rod inside of her leg to put all the bones together, leaving her with the slightest of limps forever. But when her long time crush - the bass player and singer from the band Midnight Sun - Edward Cullen approaches her on the night of her birthday, claiming that he is also fond of her, the two hit it off immediately and realize that they are made for each other. Is it just that simple for the two of them or are there secrets that remain closed? Will Bella gain back her confidence with the help of hot and sweet music-ward?

Initially written as a one-shot for the Twific Happily Ever After Contest, kitchmill has expanded Bass Instinct to be an amazing multi-chaptered story! I absolutely fell in love with the characters in this fanfiction, especially Bella and Edward, who are much more similar that they think. They both have shy personalities, so when Edward guts up and reaches out to Bella, it is a complete shock for him. The chemistry between them is mind-blowing and even though they have only met for a few hours, they manage to understand each other to an extremely high level. A hot bass player as well as a singer combined with a shy, compassionate partner is everything you can ask for in a perfect Edward and kitchmill really makes him come alive! This story is definitely underrated for it's fabulous plot, which incorporates a little bit of angst, lots of love - yes, there are lemons! - and some comfort that makes it whole. Do give it a try - it won't disappoint you!

The only constant in his life is his bodyguard. So when Edward meets Bella, - a rebellious young blogger - he naturally assumes she's just going to be another lay. But things change when they are both kidnapped from Edward's dressing room. Little did he know he'd come to depend on Bella, and find himself with more than he ever knew...

Bella Swan has been progressively breaking free of her mother's tight grasp for years. She refuses to become the kind of woman Renee is and wants to make something of herself without depending on her looks or her mother's connections. So she starts a music blog, focusing on the local punk scene in Boston. Though her blog is struggling to take off, she is able to write a successful piece while ranting about Athair's new and surprisingly disappointing album Aimin' To Misbehave. Wanting to get an exclusive interview with the mysterious Edward Cullen, Bella goes out of her way to gain access to his dressing room. In the process, she finds herself (dressed provocatively, mind you) in the middle of a war she could never see coming a war involving herself and a secret organization.

Sins of the Father could be considered a misleading title, as neither Bella nor Edward are parents. However, it the story focuses a lot on Edward's family's past. Sins of the Father is a slow burn, filled with steamy lemons, drama, and some angst. It's a wonderfully written story that delves into long-buried secrets within a family and the journey to become our own, independent person. Both Edward and Bella are going through their own phase of rebellion but learn to overcome everything in order to survive and, eventually, find their happily-ever-after.

Sins of the Father consists of 38 chapters and 223,081 words. The story is rated M for description of sexual activities, foul language, and slight angst.

Bella Swan is an extremely eccentric woman, who enjoys every moment of her life to the fullest. Though she has been through a lot in the past and even fears what lies ahead for her in the future a bit, she takes every day on its merits. Forty-year old Bella believes that not much can ruin her life, except maybe for herself. As an artist, the woman spends a considerable amount of her time painting beautiful portraits of couples that seem deeply in love - something she's never experienced herself. A one night stand back in the days brought her her son Jacob, who now works as a doctor in another state, but the man she thought she had feelings for didn't stay. One day, when Bella is sipping her coffee on her balcony, she hears the most beautiful voice she's ever heard. A voice, which instantly brings tears to her eyes. Being rarely moved by something, Bella cannot believe what the music she just listened to did to her. She is determined to track down the person that voice belongs to and meet him. Enter Edward Cullen.

Edward is the polar opposite of Bella. In his forty-two years, he has witnessed some pretty terrible things and lives a life in sorrow and melancholy, constantly wondering about 'what ifs'. His only love is music and he spends endless hours composing and singing, putting all of his emotions in it. As a professional musician, he is booked for private and public functions. One day, Edward gets a phone call from an overzealous woman, who wants to hire him for a whole month - just to listen to his music. Never in his life has Edward ever received an offer like this, yet due to the persistence of the woman with the loud and happy voice as well as the good payment he'd receive, the musician agrees to her terms. Needless to say, when the two meet each other for the first time, they immediately realize that they've never encountered someone like that before. Edward is slightly overwhelmed and hesitant to talk to the extremely vibrant woman. And Bella is incredibly empathetic towards the sadness in his eyes, wondering what the man has been going through. Neither of them can deny the electric energy flowing between them, especially when Edward plays and sings while Bella dances. Will the two of them find a way to be together or will their different personalities keep them from falling in love?

A fantastic story that should NOT be missed! Not for nothing, is the fanfic very popular in the Twilight fandom - writing style of abstract way is amazing and you cannot help but get sucked right into the story. Edward and Bella are both in their forties, so the level of maturity in the language as well as in their understanding of each other and the world is much more sophisticated than that in other fics. The characters, in addition to their intellect, are very OOC with an eccentric Bella Swan and a shy, blue-eyed (!) Edward Cullen, who will melt your heart! The story is very realistic and showcases a perfect example of how opposites attract to each other. But be forewarned, this story is rated M because it deals with mature content, hot lemons, as well as discussion of an illness. I highly recommend this fanfic and have no doubts that you will love it as much as I do; it will definitely surprise you and bring a number of emotions out of you. abstract way has done a phenomenal job writing this story and creating such a well-developed plot - one that is unlike anything I've ever read and that made me want to read the story even more. You will be hooked from chapter one - I promise. A MUST MUST MUST read - I can't emphasize it enough! :D

Ever since she met James Hunter seven years ago, Bella Swan's life hasn't been the same. Though in the beginning, the handsome man seemed caring and genuinely nice, his thoughtfulness and protective nature soon turns into an unhealthy obsession. Once Bella tells him that she is not interested in more than just a friendship, James begins following her every step, terrorizing the woman he is so taken with along with her family and friends. After a tragic accident in which Bella's mother loses her life, the young woman decides that enough is enough and leaves her whole life behind. Together with her best friend Alice she moves to Seattle, where she hopes to be safe from her stalker. Alas, James finds her sooner than anyone expected and as he has become even viler and brutaler, Bella is forced to move once again. Without telling anyone where she's headed, yet once again with Alice in tow, she moves to New York. There she starts two jobs, one as a nanny for an upper-class family, and another as a barkeeper in a small yet atmospheric bar. It is there that her life makes a complete U-turn once again, but this time for the better.

Because grabbing her attention at Art's bar is none other than Edward Cullen, bassist of the worldwide popular and successful rock band Zeus. The young man is totally fascinated by the beautiful woman he sees before him and immediately tries to get to know more about her. Yet Bella is careful in disclosing any kind of personal information and strongly believes that Edward is only interested in a one-night stand. She politely pushes him away yet cannot get him out of her mind. Luckily, fate seems to be on her side, because Bella is asked to accompany the young girl she looks after as well as her friend to a Zeuts concert. There, she meets Edward again and from there on, the young man pays her frequent visits at the bar she works at. He is adament to find out more about her and enjoys every second they spend together. The two get closer and closer but Bella's past keeps her from trusting Edward completely. Furthermore, the band's world tour is about to start, taking Edward away from New York for three whole months...

You Can't Hide Forever is a wonderful story because it has a little bit of everything: romance, lemons, angst, suspense, and humor. Especially the latter will have you enjoy this story from chapter one because our dear Bella (who has a British accent, by the way, because she grew up in England) has a very cute and hilarious inner voice talking to her all the time. She calls it her "Inner-Bella" and openly admits to everyone, including Edward, the she just cannot seem to control her. "Inner-Bella" is everything Bella used to be before James came into her life: feisty, courageous, snarky, sarcastic, and constantly horny. Some of her comments will have you in hysterics, let me tell you, they are that funny. With regards to the romance, that is mostly up to Edward. Bella hides herself from the world and her boyfriend, so Edward is the one with the sweet gestures and words - and boy are they sweet. The lemons are tame and kept very short and the violence won't up until the end of the story. You Can't Hide Forever is written from both characters' POV and comes highly recommended!

You Can't Hide Forever consists of 40 chapters and 232,942 words. The story is rated MA for sexual activities, angst, violence, and foul language.

Bella Swan is a 19-year old student with an enormous love for music. So enormous, in fact, that she drags her friend Rosalie to yet another jam session of an up-coming band. Bella has a thing for musicians and therefore can’t help but feel like she’s in Seventh Heaven when she sees Edward, or Cullen as he is called, the lead guitarist of the band she and Rose went to check out. Though Bella is kind of fooling around with Embry, another band member, she feels such an intense draw towards Edward that she immediately ends things with Embry before they get too intense. She starts talking to her new crush and the two hit it off right away. Edward is charming yet mysterious, sweet yet cool, and apparently as smitten with Bella as she is with him. Because when Bella leaves the office of the law firm she works at as a secretary to grab some lunch, she runs into Edward. Turns out he asked her friends where she works so that he could ask her out. Before the beautiful brunette knows it, she is caught in a world of sparks, fuzzy feelings, and fast-beating hearts. However, it isn’t until Edward invites her to accompany him on a business trip to Hawaii (he is studying to become an architect, someday planning to take over his father’s company) that things start getting really intense…

Sessions is a sweet and short fanfiction that is nothing but pure fluff. You won’t find any kind of angst or drama in the 19 chapters of Rochelle Allison’s story,; a story that is very well-written and entertaining. Musicward is always a plus and Edward is described as a gorgeous, sexy as hell guitarist, who could have every girl he wants but only has eyes for Bella. He is immensely cute when it comes to her and the time they spend in Hawaii is nothing short of swoon-worthy. Though both him and Bella like to smoke pot from time to time, they are both very focused on their respective careers and are far from being lazy troublemakers. The lemons of the story, which is completely written from BPOV by the way, are tame yet very romantic. Sessions is a wonderful, fluffy story that will have you leave you with a satisfied grin at the end.

Sessions consists of 19 chapters and a total of 37,722 words. The story is rated M for lemons, profanities, and some mild drug use.

Quirky Bella Swan has some weird habits - much to the dismay of her roommate and best friend Rosalie - and one of them is doing her laundry at midnight. Every Tuesday, shortly before the clock strikes twelve, Bella is on her way to the local laundromat to wash her clothes - alone and without being disturbed by too obtrusive men. Unfortunately for Bella, the owner of her favorite laundry mat tells her one fateful night that, from now on, they will have to close at eleven as they don't make enough money after that time. Frustrated and sad, the young woman trots to the next laundromat a few blocks away and is met by a charming old lady and a cute guy. With his beanie, funky shirt, and black leather jacket, the latter is an absolute sight to behold. Add his drumming skills to that and Bella can't help but be interested and check him out. In fact, she is staring so hard that she doesn't even notice how her less than flattering panties drop to the floor, directly in front of the old lady, who can't help but comment that she has the same. Embarrassed and red as a tomato, Bella continues doing her laundry until she hears a soft voice in her ear. Could it be that the guy is as interested in her as she is in him?

Once again, MandyLeigh87 managed to write a highly entertaining story. Though The Mat is comparatively old, it hasn't lost anything of its appeal. The fic is full of humor and fluff and perfect for those of you, who want to read something easy and uncomplicated after a long angsty story. Rosalie and her antics are hilarious and bring Bella in on or two slightly embarrassing situations. Edward is sweet (and so cute with his beanie) and shares a lovely passion for classic rock with Bella. Reading about him sitting behind his drums, jamming with the guys is nothing short of hot and adorable at the same time. Written from both Bella's and Edward's POV, The Mat is a wonderful read that you will easily finish in an hour! Don't miss it!

"I knew I'd fucked up, and sometimes life didn't always give second chances for your mistakes. I knew all of this, but the empty gaping hole where she had lived for most of my life - where her soul was intertwined with mine - it didn't care about rational thought, it didn't care about accepting punishments, it wanted its mate back, and it was blind in its desperation to have it."

Edward and Bella have been lovebirds for a long time and want nothing more than to put their relationship on a new level. Unfortunately though, things start to go downhill when Edward's band hits the road of success and becomes popular. Very popular. Surrounded by fame and opportunities, Edward spends more time on the road than he spends at home, eventually even leaving Bella alone at times when she needs him the most. Although Bella is pretty upset about his constant absence, she understands that Edward's career is something he has worked hard for as long as she can remember. Knowing that his band is the second love of his life, she was willing to wait for her man to come back to her, but all her hopes are shattered when she finds Edward in bed with another woman. Not interested in hearing any kind of excuses from Edward, she rushes out of his place and breaks out in tears, mourning the loss of her true love. Edward, on the other hand, is devastated and utterly confused by the situation he apparently has put himself in the night before. Two things he knows for sure: one, he did not have sex with the strange woman sleeping next to him in his bed; and two, he will do everything in his power to get his beloved Bella back.

Once again, livie79 has written a fantastic story with an extremely realistic plot. She has depicted a scenario in which a couple that is deeply in love with one another drifts apart due to a successful career in music as well as a major misunderstanding. And let me assure you right away that this story does not involve any kind of cheating and has a very lovely HEA! It is heart-warming to see Edward so determined to win Bella's heart back - even though he has to realize, as he starts picking up all the pieces of their once so wonderful relationship, that this kind of undertaking won't be easy. Sometimes all a couple lacks is communication and really, that is the main issue in this story. You will find yourself wanting to beg the two lovebirds to finally talk everything out so they can get back together. And when that finally happens in the end, it will put a smile to your face and you will breathe a sigh of relief. This story has everything that you want in a fanfic from sentimental feelings to a great plot. Furthermore, the alternating perspectives of both Edward and Bella really give you insight to both their minds, making the story whole and vivid. Do give it a read!

Glass House consists of 26 chapters and 60,616 words. The story is rated M for language, some angst, and sexual activities.

It is the last day of their tour and Edward Cullen can't wait to finally get home. But alas, as lead singer of the famous rock band "Breaking Dawn", he has responsibilities to see to and one of them is signing autographs for his fans. So instead of chasing woman or getting a cold beer, Edward writes his name over and over again on photos and CDs. Just when he feels like things couldn't get any more God-awful and boring, he comes face to face with a stunning brunette, who shyly asks him to sign something for her best friend. Utterly fascinated by the young woman, he lets her bring her to his dressing room, asking her to wait for him. Edward wants her, badly, like he never wanted any woman before. Though he is sure that one quick fu** will get her out of his system, he also knows that it'll probably be the best fu** of his life. And he's right. Bella makes him experience rare emotions, stirs in him the urge to kiss her, and willingly gives him her virginity. When Edward comes back from the bathroom after cleaning up, he is disappointed to find Bella gone. Disappointed because he wanted to spend more time with her and disappointed because he never had the chance to tell her that the condom they used broke...

And so things come as they must: Bella gets pregnant. With the help of her loyal friend Alice, she goes through the ups and downs of her pregnancy, all the while trying to contact Edward. Yet as all she has is the band's fan address it takes until after the little baby girl, Charlie, is born, that Edward finds out that he is now a father. Totally overwhelmed with the situation at hand, he visits his daughter and Bella. The latter tells him to carefully think about whether he wants to be part of Charlie's life or not and that she would accept both. However, once he chose one way of dealing with the situation, there would be no turning back. With the help of his mother, Esme, Edward eventually realizes that he wants to be there for both Charlie and Bella. It takes the next couple of weeks for him to slowly start bonding with his baby girl and to realize that he likes Bella as more than just the mother of his child. Suddenly, his whoring lifestyle turns out to be incompatible with changing diapers and feeding bottles and the media is making Bella's life difficult. Soon, Edward has to make a decision: stop fu**ing around and take care of his new-found family, or leave Bella and Charlie for good...

Altered Measure is a slow burn, let me tell you. Apart from the heated beginning that brings sweet little Charlie into this wonderful story, Bella and Edward take a long time to finally share a bed with each other. The reason for that is mainly Edward, who a) can't keep his di** in his pants - something that not all of you might be willing to read (including myself), but it only happens once, I promise - and b) has difficulties acknowledging his feelings for Bella and Charlie. Edward, from whose persepctive the story is written (except for three chapters in the beginning), is an emotional cripple when it comes to relationships as he has never been in one and also doesn't plan to give it a try. His unuconventional lifestyle is more than once the reason for arguments between him and Bella and if it weren't for Esme, Carlisle, and even Rose, Edward's band member, the young musician would probably take a lot longer to see finally reason. However, he quickly starts learning the deeds of being a father and is simply adorable with Charlie. To read about him singing to her or making her drink from a bottle, is immensely heart-breaking. So if you have no problems with a very realistically written fanfiction in which the characters definitely take their time to go to second base, then this one is perfect for you! Daddyward awaits you! :-)

Edward, his brother Emmett, and their best friend Jasper are all members of a cover band, called 'The Feedback'. One night, when they meet at the bar they usually play at, the three come to an agreement that will hopefully push their career in the right direction. In order to be able to play three nights a week, they definitely need a female lead singer. Problem. Edward Cullen cannot keep his hands to himself and has already cost the band three potential lead singers due to his womanizing ways. Emmett and Jasper have finally enough and decide to establish the rule that there is absolutely no inter-band screwing, dating or messing around allowed. This rule applies to all three of them but seeing as Jasper's sister Rosalie has Emmett by the balls and Jasper is pining for Alice, said rule is basically just for Edward...

Now that the ground rules have been established, Jasper wants Bella, a friend from college, to join the band. Of course, Edward and Bella feel an attraction to each other - even though they start out on the wrong foot - but a relationship is totally off limits due to the ‘band rule’. A friendship is formed from their mutual love of music and soon blossoms into a love. Love not even Edward ‘Womanizer’ Cullen can deny.

lexiecullen17 does not disappoint with her story of forbidden love between band members. The fanfiction is told from both Edward and Bella’s POV and gives great insight into how both characters are feeling and thinking in each situation. With dozens of hilarious scenes, hot juicy lemons, and hilarious banters between the band members, this story is all fluff with very little angst. One of the best things about this story is its ‘kick-ass’ playlist! lexiecullen17 has worked hard to put together a large list of songs that not only suit the story incredibly well, but will have you singing along with the characters! If you liked her other stories such as The Longest Summer, you’ll definitely enjoy Off Limits. It’s a must read!

Bella is an art student, whose favorite place, amongst others, is the library. For her studies, she often orders some books and picks them up at the reservation desk. There, geeky Edward Cullen is waiting for her. His messy bronze hair, paired with his thick black glasses, the black hoodie, low-hung jeans, and sneakers he wears, have totally mesmerized her and Bella can't help but feel excited each and every time she needs to pick up a reservation. He's left alone by the majority of his class mates but Bella realizes his smarts and awesomeness right away. She is definitely the leading figure in this relationship but once Edward manages to step out of his shell, it becomes clear that he won't let her go anymore. Without Reserve is written from Bella's point of view and is one of the winners of the 2012 FicThisGif contest, hosted by JadaLulu. The fanfic was voted as the story with the 'Highest Swoon Factor' and picked by one of the judges as their favorite. Bella Swan's life is nothing short of monotonous, to put it mildly. Emotionally and physically scarred after her mother died in a tragic accident, Bella decides to escape the state of Mississippi where she had lived all her life. She runs away from everything that could have been her future, burying her friends, her college scholarship, and all her happy memories six feet under the ground - next to her mom. She arrives in Forks, Washington where her father Charlie lives and starts working at the local diner there. But life in Washington is not a lot easier than life in Mississippi: Bella has to work double shifts, live in a greasy apartment right above the restaurant with her stoic and somewhat-retired-police-officer father, and the constant cold and rain weather was right the opposite of what she was used to in her former home. When Charlie starts drinking out of grief for his late wife, Bella finds herself in a situation more unbearable than the one she escaped from.

So when Charlie forgets Bella's 19th birthday, she decides to drive to Port Angeles and have some quiet fun at a bar. What she didn't expect was the to stumble upon a barkeeper (who plays guitar AND sings!) with the most beautiful, velvety voice she had ever heard. Because of the weird pull she feels towards the sexy bartender with the disheveled bronze hair, Bella finds herself visiting the bar several times a week. She soon becomes friends with the our hot Edward as well as with Alice, Carlisle, and Jasper. Yet, the man she can't get out of her head doesn't seem to be what he appears to be. Bella hears rumors that Edward is not a safe person to be around with, yet despite distancing herself from him, she confronts the young man at his home. And what he tells her both surprises and overwhelms her and Bella notices that even after everything she had just heard, she was still head over heels in love with him. But what happens when she can't reciprocate and tell Edward her life story?

If you don't go right now and start reading this story, you will be missing out on the world Addicakes has created. Olympic Rain and Novocain will put you on a roller-coaster of emotions and your heart will desperately try to reach out in the hopes of being able to comfort both Edward and Bella. Yes, there might be many fanfics out there that are similar in terms of what the two have experienced in their past and the amount of angst, but trust me, this story still manages to surprise you. Not to mention immense amount of sexual tension going on between the two from the very first time they see each other; my goodness it will leave you panting! Furthermore, the Olympic Rain and Novocain is written in a very realistic manner and delivers an important message to all readers out there: running away from the hardships in your life is not the answer. In order to be able to continue living life to the fullest you have to face your fears. Edward and Bella both learn this moral throughout the story, and it is heart-warming to see the depth within their relationship growing and growing.This story will leave you awake at nights until you finally come to it's sweet end and leave you perspiring with its hot sexual content between the couple. It was like they were in a scene written for a cheesy romance novel: when Edward Cullen picks up his nephew Masen from pre-school he meets his teacher Bella Swan. The two look into each other's eyes and know right then and there that they are meant to be together for the rest of their lives. Their instantaneous attraction is mindblowing and both feel the immense emptiness and loss when Edward eventually leaves. Though Bella is trying to get Edward out of her mind (A hunk like him single? Yeah, right.) she is less than successful. So when her good friend and mother of Masen, Alice Whitlock, calls to invite her to dinner with friends, which includes Edward, she doesn't hesitate to accept. Once at the restaurant Edward and Bella start talking about this and that and notice that they have similiar tastes and the same sense of humor. After a heated dance Bella is pulled into the restroom by Alice who tells her what she feared all along: Edward is not single...

But he is not really taken either. For weeks he had tried to break it off with his girlfriend Tanya, as it became clear to him pretty quickly that they did not "click". Unfortunately though, Tanya's mother died unexpectedly which throws the young woman into a depression like state. Unwilling to add another negative event to her life just then, Edward decides to wait a bit until Tanya has had a chance to cope with the past events. Yet after a couple of weeks have passed and Edward tries to end the relationship once more, Tanya is either ignoring his words, throwing a tantrum, or avoiding any kind of confrontation in the first place. Both, Edward and Bella agree that they would more than like to give whatever was happening between them a try but they also decide that they would not cheat on Tanya. That means that, as long as the young woman, who is also Bella's colleague, still calls herself Edward's girlfriend, the two won't allow themselves to get physically close to each other. No kissing, no sex, no groping, and hand holding is only allowed if no else sees it...

Two things shape this story more than anything else: humor and a good amount of cheesy moments. Bella and Edward don't hide their affections for each other and because they can't actually show the depths of their feelings they have no other way but to express it verbally. It's beautiful to read and makes you sigh from happiness more than once. They are worshipping the ground the other walks on and let me already tell you that, even though Show and Don't Tell contains some drama, the relationship between our favorite couple is never really in danger of breaking. Furthermore, many supporting characters add a lot of humor to the story! Masen's crazy choice of clothes, Jake's (or Jakie's) wonderful friendship with Bella, and the live wire that is Renee will put a grin on your face that simply refuses to disappear! Finally I'd like to add that even though Show and Don't Tell is completely written from Bella's POV the reader doesn't have to miss out on Edward's view on things because Brit23 also wrote a good number of chapters from his perspective! Sometimes it is actually really helpful to read both POVs in order to better understand the characters actions! A great read with a few smutty scenes!

From the moment she became a teenager, Bella's life had been meticulously mapped out by her mother. Her job, her boyfriend, her hair (!) - everything needed to be approved by Renee Swan first. So when Bella announces that she not only quit her job after her boss started harassing her but also ended her six-year-relationship with Jacob, Renee is beyond pissed. Mother and daughter start an intense fight which ends by the two agreeing to disagree and giving each other the silent treatment. And while Renee hopes to be able to talk some sense into Bella, the latter has come to a life altering decision. With the support of her lovely brother Emmett as well as her father Charlie, she begins waving the path for a new chapter in her life.

It doesn't take long for Bella to settle in her new life. She finds a job as an accountant and it is at her workplace that she meets the enigmatic yet cold Edward Cullen. Every day, the two see each other and every day Edward's mood is a different one. While one minute he is rude and arrogant, the next he smiles a dazzling smile at her almost causing Bella to melt on the spot. But apart from his constant mood swings there is one more thing which makes her colleague a mystery to Bella. Not only is Edward regularly absent from work, but he also takes a particular phone call every day at the same time. Who is this man? It isn't until one of their company's annual camping trips that some of Bella's questions get somewhat answered. She manages to bond with Edward and realizes that he is not at all the guy he appeared to be. The two start going out on dates and soon live in their own little bubble. Yet still, Bella doesn't really know the man that is Edward Cullen. His secrets could eventually mean the end of their beautiful relationship...

Lillybellis must have carefully chosen the title for her story as it fits perfectly! Not only do many of the main events take place under the stars, but the entire fanfiction is shot through with astronomical metaphors (e.g. that Bella and Edward are like stars that are surrounded by darkness yet strive towards light). We Come to Life Beneath the Stars is completely written from Bella's perspective and the reader is immediately able to connect with her. One simply cannot help but laugh and cry with her and watch her fall in love. That said, this story doesn't revolve around hot smut (although there a few nice lemons in it) but rather two broken people who try to discover themselves and the love they have for the other while also having to deal with a number of realistically portrayed conflicts. One of these conflicts is Renee, who, despite being so overly demanding and protective of her child, is also described as being a loving mother with only the best intentions. Edward has some personal issues to deal with - some are no longer with him, others still linger around. Haunted by memories and past mistakes, he longs for a way out of the dark. This is an amazing story that has close to no grammatical errors or typos! Completely commendable and definitely worth reading!

We Come to Life Beneath the Stars is rated M for language and sexual activities/references.

Even though he had always wanted to be a classical musician, Edward Masen was completely and utterly frustrated with what that job eventually entailed. Because being successful also meant to be interviewed by dozens of reporters and living with the fame of a rock star. Millions of people know his name, face, and work, but still Edward feels lonely and incomplete. To make matters worse, he also suffers from hypersensitive eyes which makes him practically blind and unable to tolerate even the slightest amount of light. As a result, Edward always wears shades, protecting his eyes and shielding them from those around him. Due to the events that lead to his tragic disability, Edward is unable to trust others as he believes that people don't actually care about each other but are only faking interest instead - something that would always lead to a broken heart. Enter Bella Swan, one of the five lucky winners allowed to ask questions to the famous musician. It's a charity event that Edward only grumpily attends, yet when he hears the question of this particular young woman he feels like his breath is taken away...

Because unlike with his previous speakers, Edward finds himself eager to answer her question ("What were the emotions within you during your favorite piece of music?") and even talks to her after the event is over. And before she knows what's coming, Bella has a date with him at her house for dinner. Edward immediately realizes his immense attraction towards her and is shocked to admit that Bella is a caring and non-judgmental person. She even demands to see his eyes which she declares to be utterly beautiful, something the young man has never heard before. But because Edward has closed himself off for so long he has problems really committing himself to Bella. With the help of his best friend Emmett and manager Carlisle he works on his problems so that he eventually manages to share his deepest secrets with his girl. It isn't until someone from Edward's past reappears in his life, that things suddenly start to get out of control. From one minute to the next the couple finds themselves in a battle for life and death...

Edward's Eternal has written many great stories, but this one is one of my favorites. It is very easy to connect with Edward and although you desperately want him to stop self-loathing himself all the time, you understand the sentiments that he is going through and can't help but want to comfort him. In addition, it is refreshing to see the little bits of humor that Emmett and Carlisle bring into the story; behind their rude and sarcastic comments lies a deep love for Edward, for whom they'd do anything. Apart from romance and comfort, the fanfic also brings about some drama at the pinnacle of the story and you will find yourself clinging onto your seat to find out what will happen next. Rest assured, the fanfic is definitely a HEA, a very sweet one in fact and at the end of it all, you will be more than satisfied with Awaken. A heartwarming story with twists and turns in every way, but it is all worth it in the end. You will cry, laugh, and love with Musicward, anticipating the happy moments in his life. A story not to be missed!

There were multiple rumors about Edward Cullen being a 'deformed freak' but Bella never took them seriously. All she knew about this mysterious and rich guy was that he lived up in the hills in his family's huge mansion and hasn't been seen out in public ever since his parents died a couple of years ago. Bella, however, couldn't have cared less about the small town gossip when she was standing in front of his huge house. The young woman was on her way to the airport where a plane was supposed to take her to her new hometown London. As Forks didn't offer her the jobs she was hoping for and because to live in the cold capital of Great Britain had always been a dream of hers, Bella decided to uproot her life and say goodbye to the Unites States. She didn't expect to be stopped on her way by a nasty blizzard. Her worn-down truck stops and when she thought life couldn't get any worse, she noticed that her cell phone battery had died and she was standing right in front of Edward Cullen's mansion. He couldn't be that bad, right?

The house is eerily quiet when she steps in and as she looks around, a blond man approaches and introduces himself as Jasper. Bella immediately recognizes him as the guy who often comes into town to buy Edward his daily necessities. She is lead into the house and notices that Edward doesn't seem to have any electronics that connect to the outside world. She opts to use the outlet in his house to charge her phone hoping to call her father later on to pick her up. Yet once again, fate steps in the way as Bella realizes that she most probably left the charger in her car. With the blizzard going on full force, there is simply no way she can go back outside and try to search for it. That leaves her with only one choice: to stay at Edward's house until the damn blizzard is over. Because he has been living in isolation for so long, it comes as no surprise that Bella and Edward's first few meetings don't go over all too well. Due to his parents' murder, Edward has turned completely into himself, absorbed by sorrow and grief. Even though he doesn't want any contact with other people whatsoever, Bella's caring personality and her ability to understand his feelings make him open up and reevaluate his life. Maybe what he feels for her could be the beginning of a new life, one in which he finally finds some peace - with Bella. What happened to Edward's parents and will real life allow Edward and Bella to stick together or will their love be conquered by fears?

In just 22 chapters, MandyLeigh87 manages to portray a wonderful story about overcoming weaknesses through the power of love; as she puts it: "This is my version of beauty and the beast". I was captured by this fanfic from chapter one; the way Bella simply ignores all the hypes about Edward without ever having seen him is quite fascinating. What is kind of sad, however, is that Love Like Winter is shockingly realistic. How many times do we gossip about others? And how many times do things happen the exact same way we want them to? This story depicts not only the importance of discovering true love, but also portrays what it means to have a great friendship (Edward and Jasper). It was very heartwarming for me to read the story and see the enormous change in how Edward views himself throughout the story. The fanfic taught me that there are many hardships in life, some small, others big, but there is always another door that opens up to a brighter light and you shouldn't hesitate to approach the door, because it was meant to open up as a result of the one that closed. Give this fanfic a try and I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Love Like Winter consists of 22 chapters and 77,729 words. The story is rated M foul language and angst.

Constantly labeled as an outcast when young, Bella Swan was never able to have a normal childhood. Apart from her blindness, it was a terrible disease that kept her from being outside and socialize with others her age. Unable to be excposed to any form of daylight, Bella has to hide inside her house and is only able to step out once the sun sets. Then she loves walking towards the woods, a path she has memorized in her brain from an early age. One fateful night, Edward ranges the woods to vent his anger and let out some his frustrations. He finds himself staring at what he thinks of as an angel of beauty. The spark between the two is strong, and soon they find themselves looking forward to the time of day when darkness would surround them.

Unfortunately, a misunderstanding between Bella and Edward kicks off an avalanche of conflicts coming their way. When Bella doesn't return home after night turns into day, Edward is extremely worried. When he finally finds her, she needs to be taken to the hospital immediately and the story comes to a sudden moment of shock as the doctor reveals what really happened to Bella. The two lovers vow to stay at each other's side through thick and thin and their strong bond helps them doing exactly that. More than once, the couple is forced to jump the hurdles thrown in their way: Bella's sickness, her blindness, and eventually her pregnancy...

l'heure bleue doesn't keep around the bush when it comes to Bella's fateful sickness; in fact, you will find out about it within the first ten chapters of the story. However, what will probably fascinate you is how Edward and Bella stay together throughout the whole story - supporting each other and getting through all challenges that get thrown in their way. Furthermore, the supporting characters make for a number of interesting subplots, e.g. the innocence of little Alice and Jasper (they are both under the age of ten!) is absolutely adorable, and the story of Angela and Jake is rather touching (?). Hats off to the author for writing such a fabolous fanfiction! A story that not only touches your heart but is also filled with some irony; after all, in Bella's dark world, her most brilliant light is no other than Edward! But will she be able to survive this light? Will Bella ever be able to see? Will Edward and Bella's baby survive considering Bella's disabilities? A story that you definitely shouldn't miss!

A Child of the Night consists of 57 chapters and 194,119 words. The story is rated M for slight angst. You can read the Portuguese translation here, and find a good Spanish translation here.

A year ago, Bella Swan left her hometown Phoenix behind to fulfill her biggest dream. Because she wants to make a living with working on stages and movie sets, the 18-year-old moves to Los Angeles and enrolls in an acting school. There, she meets Alice and Rosalie, who become her closest and dearest friends. The three girls move into an apartment together and it is there that they meet the three people who will change their lives irrevocably.
Only minutes before that fateful encounter Bella sees the man of her dreams. While driving around L.A. she catches a glimpse of a handsome young man with wild yet beautiful bronze hair. After her "Greek God" almost causes the young girl to crash her car, she reluctantly breaks eye contact and makes her way home.

In the elevator on the way to their apartment, Bella and Alice meet two nice guys, Emmett and Jasper. They learn that, together with their younger brother Edward, the two play in a band and came to L.A. to make a name for themselves in the music industry. They girls demand a demo CD and are ecstatic when they listen to the songs. Only hours later, they find a note of "the boys of #110", who invite "the girls of #112" to one of their gigs. This is the beginning of an immensely funny tag game, which keeps on for days. When the girls write Bryan Adams lyrics on an old blind, the guys answer by hanging a giant and very ugly golden fan on their door. Things go as far as Alice, Rosalie, and Bella sneaking off in the middle of the night and writing a nice message with shoe polish on the courtyard glass doors of the boys' apartment. The six become close friends and soon couples start to form. Rosalie hits it off with Emmett and Alice falls in love with quiet Jasper. Bella has her eyes on Edward but is devastated when she hears that he has a long-time girlfriend, Tanya. Yet despite this obstacle, the young girl can't help but feel drawn to Edward and apparently, he feels the same. They get closer and closer (them building a fort out of blankets in the guys' living room is so sweet!) and Bella soon learns that her time with Edward runs out fast - because the boys never planned to stay longer in L.A. than a couple of months. Will she let Edward go before he knows what she feels for him?

Two things first: If Every Word I Said Could Make You Laugh is not for readers who cannot live without smut as this story doesn't even go so far as including the word "tongue" (even though there is kissing)! However, it is written so beautifully and with so much humor that you will fall in love with the characters from page one. The pranks that the guys and girls play each other are hilarious and Emmett's amazing relationship with Ruth, the inflatable chair in the girls' apartment, won't leave your eyes dry! Alice, Rosalie, and Bella experience love in more ways than one and in more depth than any of them thought was possible. They meet their soul mates, brothers, and best buddies, and eventually have to decide if they let them go or start a life with them. One final remark, the story is almost completely written out of Bella's perspective - only four shorter chapters reveal Edward's thoughts annd hopes.

If Every Word I Said Could Make You Laugh consists of 47 chapters and 291,619 words. The story is rated T and thus suitable for readers age 13 and older. carmelinagunn already published a sequel: More, More, More.

After helping her friend cleaning up the mess of an amazing party, Bella finds herself waiting for her train at Ravenscourt Park station. Though the young woman works half time as a teacher at a local school, her real passion is writing. She just recently published her first book successfully and is now hastily making notes for the sequel while waiting for the tube to arrive. Once the carriages are in front of her she makes her way inside and sits down. After taking a thorough look at her fellow passengers Bella peeks through the glass window separating her carriage from the next and lays eyes upon a stunning bronze mob of hair...

Bella cannot help but stare at the gorgeous man, who is reading while listening to his ipod. It doesn't take long, however, and the object of her affection looks up and right into her eyes. He then scribbles a not on a piece of paper, holds it up and shows it to Bella. She laughs and reads that his name is Edward. The two start a sweet conversation via paper notes until Bella's station approaches and she leaves the tube to head for the connection train. It is then that she hears a wonderful velvet voice who belongs to no other but the friendly stranger with the bronze hair. Bella and Edward happen to head in the same direction and decide to spend their journey home together. And what happens the next couple of minutes is nothing short of magical...

What a wonderful and immensely well written little story! The idea of letting Edward and Bella meet on a train and communicate via notes is adorable and so, so sweet! Edward is feeling the same weird connection as Bella does and behaves slightly jealous and possessive when some teenage boys join their carriage. But Bella is far from innocent either and is not too amused to find a girl with big boobs hitting on her newfound friend! Yes, this story does not contain any lemons and, believe it or not, not a single swear word (whether there will be some kissing involved I'll let you find out yourselves). But trust me, even though this fanfic is rated K it is full of sweet young love, cute gestures, and tons of fluff!

Tube consists of five chapters and 9,580 words. The story is rated K and thus suitable for readers of all ages.
