"Designated Hitter" by esmegrace 0

Posted by
(banner made by Mina)

Seven years ago, Bella thought she had found the love of her life in Edward Masen; even though she was insecure about him being a few years younger than her. The chemistry between them was instant and conversation seemed to never come to a pause when they were together. Bella's past and insecurities always created a small doubt in her mind regarding their relationship, but she knew that deep down, she had fallen in love with Edward. But her fear becomes true when unfortunate circumstances causes them both to split different ways to pursue their respective careers. Bella achieves a fellowship in orthopedic surgery and is well on her way to become what she always wanted to, and Edward leaves town to attain the title of a successful baseball pitcher. Now, present time in Houston, Texas, the last person she expects to see - on Valentine's Day too no less - at the hospital she works at is the very same Edward trying to make amends and get back with her... Why was he back in town again and more importantly, why did it seem as though his eyes were hiding a secret of his own? Will Edward be able to restart what he has always felt for Bella and regain her trust?

Designated Hitter seems like a very ordinary plot-line, but let me tell you that the story is actually impeccably written! You are able to read through the physical changes within both of our characters at present time compared with seven years ago, when they were more naive. Edward, is obviously extremely hot with his sport muscles, but he too has an inner turmoil going on these past years. As they unravel themselves to each another once more, hold on tight because I assure you that it will be a beautiful ride with the right amounts of angst and romance. Just remember not to judge either of them in the beginning without knowing the full story, especially because the story is only told through Bella's perspective. Don't miss out on this one, it's definitely worth a read!!

Designated Hitter consists of 26 chapters and a total of 136,641 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual content.

"Lean on Me" by awish0921 1

(banner made by Bethany)

Isabella Swan is an orphan who has been living in Seattle with her older sister since she was eleven years old. Though she has spent years working as one of the three assistants for local architect, Edward Masen, she's been wanting to put her nursing degree to use and become a hospice nurse. When she gets a call from a hospice agency to care for a terminally ill cancer patient, she quits her job, packs her bags, and goes to Forks. Upon arriving, she meets Carlisle Cullen and his wife. She's told their son may be arriving to the house, but nobody mentions his name and she doesn't see pictures of said son. To her surprise, the Cullen's son is none other than her former boss - Edward Masen. Regardless of the tension between them, she pushes forward and focuses on caring for Esme - who can see they're meant to be.

Edward Masen has always been one to focus on his accomplishments and put personal relationships on the backburner. He runs a successful architecture firm in Seattle and is dependent on his three assistants. Isabella Swan happens to handle his calendar and he's been attracted to her since she started working at the firm. When she quits on him, saying he's pissed off would be an understatement. But, when he gets a call from his dad saying his mother's health is deteriorating, he forgets about everything at work at leaves for Forks. Imagine his surprise when Isabella Swan is the live-in hospice nurse that has been assigned to his mother. Though nothing could surprise him more than his feelings for her, especially the possibility of falling in love with her. And when Esme dies, will he be able to let his guard down and trust his feelings for Bella?

I don't have the words to describe just how much I love this story. It's a beautifully written story, with little to no grammatical errors and it has a great pace. Lean on Me is written in third person point of view, so you'll get to have a peek into everyone's thoughts and what they're going through. It is a slow burn - though Edward and Bella's attraction is noticeable from the start, it does take time for their relationship to develop, and the lemons are amazing! Granted, there are moments where you'll want to tear your hair out but you'll also have moments where you can't stop laughing or crying. I must also say that Lean on Me is a tearjerker so keep tissues near you... I know I had trouble reigning the waterworks in.

Lean on Me is complete. It consists of 19 chapters and 56,222 words. It's rated M for foul language and sexual content.

"Guns and Roses" by RosieWilde 0

(banner made by Mina)

Edward Masen and Bella Swan grew up as best friends—they did everything together, had the same friends, and were basically family. When World War I began in 1914, Edward was unable to become a soldier and fight for his country since he wasn't old enough. So, to fulfill his dream, he decided to enlist into the military— regardless of his family's or Bella's feelings about the war—when he became of age. The war changed Edward in so many ways, showing him the harsh realities of life. But throughout it all, he wanted to keep a piece of home with him at all times—Bella's letters. The entire time that he was deployed, they wrote letters to each other and their feelings for one another became more obvious, even if it was just on paper. As time went on, Bella and Edward grew more and more anxious to be together, without the threat of war in between them. But how long will that take?

Bella Swan was in love with Edward for as long as she could remember. And when he proposed before leaving for France, she had agreed without a second thought. But she couldn't stand staying in Forks, doing nothing but her school work, while Edward was away. So, against her father's wishes, she decided to study to become a nurse, and she became successful. Even though her love for Edward continued growing strongly, she focused on helping those injured in the war. With her mind occupied, time went by faster, and she wasn't able to doubt whether or not Edward was being faithful to her. With both of them busy in their own field of work with only letters of conversation between them, the war finally came to an end. Meaning she and Edward could get married and live their lives as they wanted to. But it could never be that easy, could it? Can they just resume their lives to how it was before?

Guns and Roses was RosieWilde's debut into Twilight fanfiction in 2008. Back then, it found a place in my to-be-read list but I didn't get to read until recently. I have to say, unlike me, don't wait to read this story. It's an amazingly written story, set in 1917 during World War I. I can't resist a good period piece and it's so refreshing to read a piece where Bella's not just staying at home, twiddling her thumbs, but she's putting herself out there to follow her dreams. Given the time period, her role and independence is something remarkable. Edward's also portrayed to be a strong willed character and you can't help but love him even more as a soldier! This story is told from both Edward's and Bella's point of view, allowing the reader a peek into what they're both going through and what they're thinking. Do yourself a favor and give this story a shot! It won't disappoint you.

Guns and Roses consists of 38 chapters and 156,809 words. Rated M for foul language, mild sexual content, and violence.

"A Hard Day's Night" by SexyLexiCullen 0

Posted by Anonymous
(banner made by Mina)

When Bella Swan wakes up one morning - tired, hung over, and really cranky - she isn't alone. Next to her lies a devastatingly handsome young man, whom she met the night before at a bar. She cannot remember much about what happened after they left but she knows it was amazing. Still, Bella feels uncomfortable and doesn't really know how to handle the situation. However, before she is able to sneak out of her apartment unnoticed, the young adonis wakes up and introduces himself as Edward. Awkwardly, the two part way (a.k.a. Bella throws him out politely), only to meet again at the NYC hospital. There, Bella has just started her internship and finds out that Edward is the resident assigned to her and her three young colleagues (Rose, Alice, and Jake). Embarrassed by what happened the night before, she tries to avoid Edward at all costs but as he is already way in over his head with her and won't just let her go...

Though Edward has just ended a three-year long relationship, he is more than willing to pursue whatever it is he feels for Bella. He's never met someone like her - witty, smart, adorable, and understanding - and can even imagine a future with her together. Too bad that Bella's insecurities and fears about violating the hospital's fraternization policy keep her from letting Edward in. It doesn't help that Bella desperately wants to become a surgeon, yet the Chief of Surgery at NYC is none other than Edward's father, Carlisle. Meanwhile, Edward's best friend, attending Dr. Jasper Whitlock, is giving up his manwhoring ways to chase after Tinker Bell a.k.a. Polly Pocket a.k.a. The Little Fairy a.k.a. Alice Brandon. The same Alice, who will later be there for Bella after she runs into someone from Edward's past that he'd rather have liked to keep a secret...

A Hard Day's Night was heavily inspired by Grey's Anatomy and if you are a fan of the show you will definitely recognize some scenes that have been borrowed by the wonderful SexyLexiCullen. This is one of her earlier works and not as angsty as some of her newer stories. In fact, this fanfic is, more than anything else, funny and romantic. The supporting characters lend some humor to A Hard Day's Night that will leave no eye dry. From Jasper, who's a bit of a nutcase yet a great friend to Edward, to Carlisle, who's more of a buddy to his son than an actual father, everyone has some kind of quirky side. All of them (btw: Emmett is an intern in another group) grow very close to each other and spend some memorable moments together. And once Edward and Bella, from whose POV this story is mainly written (there are a few chapters written from the POVs of some of the supporting characters), get their heads out of their as*** and give in to their feelings for each other, you are in a for a hilarious ride! A ride that includes some nice lemons, by the way! ;-) Enjoy!

A Hard Day's Night consists of 30 chapters and 209,631 words. The story is rated M for nice lemons and lots of profanities.

"Static" by AnaG 0

Posted by Anonymous
(banner made by Mina)

From an early age, Bella Swan knew what she wanted to do with her life - becoming a doctor - and nothing was going to keep her from achieving her goal, especially not a man. With her parents filing for divorce when she was only three months old, Bella has long lost all faith and hope in love. For her, it is nothing but a distraction, a horrible and useless emotion that will eventually cause immense heart-break and pain. So when the 22-year-old begins her freshman year at Dartmouth, she is determined to live a static life, only focusing on her studies. The only bright spot in that life is her best friend Alice, who is the complete opposite of Bella: full of energy and willing to live life to the fullest. More than once, she tries to convince Bella that her beliefs and ideas are wrong and will only make her end up lonely and sad but the young brunette doesn't want to hear any of it and completely immerses herself into her studies...

Being the good student that she is, Bella arrives early to one of her many classes and is surprised to find she is not alone. A good-looking young man sits a few rows down from her and later introduces himself as Edward Cullen. Because of their early appearance, their professor choses them both as his new assistants, asking them to prepare notes and PowerPoint presentations for his lectures. While working together, Bella notices how attracted she is to Edward and how charming and friendly he is - nothing like what she expected a man to be. They seem to be on the same page and get along very well. Yet Bella's inhibitions about relationships and men keep her from letting Edward get close. Fighting with the conflicting feelings within her, she keeps the handsome man at arm's length and though he is more than willing to wait for her, his patience has limits...

Static mainly focuses on the relationship between Edward and Bella as well as Bella's inner struggle with her self-made belief system. However, a good part of the story also deals with Alice and her problem with partying too much, Jasper and his role as a psychiatrist and mentor, and, last but not least, Emmett and Rosalie's plans of starting a family. In fact, there are whole chapters where Edward doesn't appear once, which also explains why the story is completely written from Bella's point of view. Though that can be slighly frustrating at times, those parts that focus on the minor characters are not less interesting than those dealing with our favorite couple. As a matter of fact, all of them force Bella to constantly adjust her theory about the static until she eventually has to drop it altogether. That, on the other hand, is important for her relationship with Edward, who has a hard time getting her to trust him. About two-thirds into the fic, some drama kicks in and it won't be resolved until the last chapter. Notwithstanding, AnaG presents you with a satisfying HEA that more than works for the characters. If you want a story that is closer to a novel than a fanfiction, Static is the one for you!

Static consists of 41 chapters and a total of 105,084 words. The story is rated M for foul language, some angst, and description of sexual activities.

"Fate, Love, and Second Chances" by NightViz 0

Posted by
(banner made by Mina)

Bella Swan is a registered nurse (RN) and loves waking up every morning to do her job. And although her work is something she takes pride in, the young woman can't help but feel that she somewhat lacks in the romantic department. Bella has never met someone whom she could give her whole heart and more and more; she finds herself doubting her capabilities of being a good girlfriend. However, the young nurse decides to push her tormenting thoughts to the back of her mind and purely concentrate on her work instead. One day, she arrives at the hospital and comes face to face with a number of firefighters crowding the lobby. Thinking that the hospital may have had a small fire, she ignores the men and continues towards her floor to start her job. It is then that she figures out that the brave firefighter Edward Cullen, also the son of the hospital's Head Doctor Carlisle Cullen, has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries that he sustained while trying to save a young boy from a raging fire. Being one of the best nurses in the hospital, Bella is asked by Carlisle to take care of his son as his personal nurse. Bella agrees.

What she hasn't realized until she's able to get a closer look, is that her comatose patient is incredibly handsome and apparently completely devoted to his work. Within a few days, she is able to talk to all of his family members - including his five-year-old daughter - and learns that Edward is a man very much loved by his family and the crew at the fire department. She starts feeling for the inspiring young man, so much so that she finds herself next to his bed even when she's not working; caressing his wild bronze locks and praying that he opens his eyes. Bella becomes so close to Edward and his family members that she begins to feel a closeness with regards to Edward that no nurse should feel towards her patient. But will she be able to help wake Edward from his sleeping state and nourish him back to health? Will she be able to keep herself from falling deeper for him than she already has? And what is up with him being a single father - where is that ex-wife of his that no one speaks of?

Fate, Love, and Second Chances is exactly what the title states. The plot-line is very different from many other stories out there and contains a number of small twists and turns that you will never be able to anticipate. This, along with the great characters, makes reading this fanfic a great experience. Bella and Edward are two very likable people, who both have their stories to tell. That Edward has a daughter (definitely something that comes as a surprise and makes him even more perfect) is wonderfully incorporated into the general plot and makes his and Bella's bonding time so much more adorable; because there is a lot that the couple has to face, including talking about their respective pasts and, of course, seeing to Edward's recovery. But don't worry, the story is definitely a HEA -  a beautiful one at that - and you will be more than happy with the outcome. That, and by the end of the fic you'll be thoroughly in love with Bella's caring nature, Edward's sexy Firefighterward-self, and the intense chemistry they share. This story is extremely underrated for it's amazing plot and I think it should definitely be given a try - I promise you won't regret! Please read! :)

Fate, Love, and Second Chances consists of 37 chapters and a total of 337,771 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual references.

"At Her Mercy" by shadowed by passion 2

Posted by
(banner will be made by Bethany)

Dr. Bella Swan could actually be quite proud of her achievements in life. She is considered to be one of the best doctors in her field and even takes over difficult cases from outside the U.S. Together with her team, Bella miraculously manages to help almost all of her patients, yet there are also times when she has to acknowledge that there is nothing she can do. It is after losing one particular close patient of hers that the young doctor is overcome by extreme guilt and sadness. The confidence in her skills drops immensely and it crosses her mind more than once that she might not be as perfect and wonderful as her colleagues claim her to be. So when her college mentor and brilliant physician, Carlisle Cullen, calls her up to aid her in treating his son Edward, Bella is more than hesitant in accepting the case. After much coaxing on Carlisle's part, however, Bella agrees and is surprised to learn that this new, seriously ill patient will fly all the way from New York to Chicago to see her...

Edward Cullen, Bella's patient, has gotten extremely sick quite suddenly and all doctors that he had consulted so far were unable to come to a conclusion as to what he had come down with. Despite being Edward incredibly sick, he is also breathtakingly handsome; so when he eventually meets Bella at the hospital, sparks fly between them instantly. But Bella can't help but stay away from him due to professional reasons and the fact that he had a not-so-caring wife... So she focuses on her task at hand to treat him rather than have a relationship with him. After running some tests and treatments, Bella finds out that her sexy patient didn't just happen to get sick so suddenly, instead he was actually poisoned. Considering how much the poison was already in his body and how his health was deteriorating by the second, she realizes that the criminal must be a close friend or a family member. The question was, who would want to kill Edward and why? Will Bella be able to save Edward and also find the courage to admit her feelings for him?

Another great fic by shadowed by passion! This drabble fic is mostly told from Bella's point of view, which enables the reader to really connect well to the situation she finds herself stuck in. As a passionate doctor, she considers treating Edward her own personal challenge and does everything in her power to help him. The fact that she has developed deep feelings for him just adds to her motivation to get him well again. She examines Edward meticulously through a series of procedures and tests, which are mentioned and described in a more than authentic way, yet without being tiresome. In fact, the whole story is very entertaining as you never expect what comes next! The many unexpected twists and turns that the story will come to will keep you on your toes and you'll probably never be able to guess who the real culprit is! Chapter by chapter on secret after the next is unraveled and the suspense is graspable. At Her Mercy is an extremely heartfelt story that combines mystery and romance. A highly recommendable story that you simply shouldn't miss.

At Her Mercy consists of 54 chapters and a total of 42,511 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual references.

"Babies on Their Mind" by Cecilia1204 0

Posted by Anonymous
(banner made by (SURPRISE!) Prachi)

When maternity ward nurse Bella Swan is finally introcuced to the new obstetrician, her attraction toward him is immediate. Dr. Edward Cullen - son of Carlisle Cullen, also a doctor at Forks Hospital - is the epitome of manliness: sharp cheekbones, lean yet muscular body, and the sexiest smile she has ever seen. For Bella, Edward is simply perfect! And when he also turns out to be smart, funny, excellent in his job, and absolutely adorable with babies, she falls fast and hard for him. It doesn't matter in the slightest that she didn't have plans to fall in love at the moment, much less falling in love with a colleague, because all Bella sees and wants is Edward...

And he feels just the same - even though getting involved with someone was the last thing on his mind when he left New York. After a wrongful sexual harassment claim made by a rejected nurse, working normally was anything but possible. With colleagues staring at him and spreading rumors behind his back, Edward felt more and more unwelcome. So when the 30-year old man hears from his father that an obstetrician is needed at his hospital, he doesn't think twice and accepts the offer. And the change of scenery does him really well because when he lays eyes on Bella, he loses all reason and good intentions and finds himself in Seventh Heaven. Unable to stay away from her the young doctor asks her out on a date and from there on, things progress quickly and in an intense way for the couple...

Babies on Their Mind is written from a third-person perspective. However, the omniscient narrator alternates between taking a closer look at Bella's and Edward's thoughts so that the reader gets a good impression of what is going on in their heads. Generally speaking, the story contains as good as no angst but is full of fluff and romantic scenes instead. Sometimes, words the characters choose to express their feelings for each other might sound a bit clichéd or even cheesy, but after a long fanfic full of drama and despair this is exactly what one needs! That said, Babies on Their Mind has one or two interesting twists and turns, for example that Bella seems to have gotten pregnant even though Edward is infertile. It is a well-written story that includes a couple of typos here and there but is overall a very good read. The sweetness that is Edward will totally lure you in, I promise!

Babies on Their Mind consists of 37 chapters and a total of 236,191 words. The story is rated M for graphic description of sexual activities and some foul language.

"Doctor's Orders" by mybluesky 0

Posted by Anonymous

After Bella finds out that her boyfriend Alec has been cheatin on her for the several months, she packs her bags and moves to Seattle. She sends applications to a number of hospitals and hopes that at least one will be in need of a new nurse. Luck is on her side and Bella soon starts working at Harborview Medical Center. There she is trained by her colleague Emmett, a boisterous yet incredibly sweet coloss of a man, who seems to have a secret love-hate relationship with Dr. Rosalie Hale a.k.a. the Ice Queen. Though Bella can't really figure out what really happened, happens, or doesn't happen between the two, she soon finds her own arch enemy in scrubs: Dr. Edward Cullen.

Dr. Cullen is sex on legs, it's as simple as that. As a hospitalist, the gorgeous adonis takes care of patients while they are hospitalized as long as they don't already have a primary doctor. He therefore works closely with Bella whom he meets for the first time when he visits one of his patients and asks Bella to tag along. And then the young brunette does something no nurse should ever do: she calls him out in front of the patient. Edward is furious and makes it clear to Bella that he would not tolerate behavior like this in the future. The sexual tension between the two is palpable, in fact, it is so obvious that their friends (Emmett and Alice happen to know Edward pretty well) set them up for a blind date and it is that evening when things start to change. Because Bella suddenly notices that Edward isn't even half as bad as she would like to think but instead is rather charming and very persistent (he doesn't stop asking her for a date). Too bad that the lovely nurse decided a while ago that she would never ever date a doctor - especially not one she's working with...

It is always great if an author decides to use her own work experience for her next fanfiction. mybluesky invites us into the life of a hospital nurse and describes the daily routines of the staff in a very interesting and entertaining kind of way. She also packed her story with lots of humor and sexual innuendoes: the bickering between Edward and Bella is cute and hilarious at the same time and supporting characters like Emmett, Alice, Jasper, and Rosalie add to the high level of fun. Once Bella finally caves in her and gives herself to Edward the two are sexually very active and more than compatible. If you like reading about Edward in low hanging scrubs, this story is a must-read!

Doctor's Orders consists of 28 chapters and 166,845 words. The story is rated MA for lemons and profanities.

"Stitches in Time" by ericastwilight 0

Posted by Anonymous

When Doctor Bella Swan reads the chart of her next patient, her heart starts beating. Sitting only a couple of feet away from her, in an examination room in the ER, is none other than Edward Cullen. Dr. Edward Cullen. The same Dr. Edward Cullen, who apparently disliked her so much that he refused to take her as one of the new residents at the White General's Hospital in San Francisco three years ago. Trying to get rid of her nervousness, Bella walkes into the exam room and comes face to face with the one man she was unable to get off of her mind for years...

And he isn't alone. The handsome pediatrician, who has had a little accident at home and now sports a small cut on his arm, is accompanied by an adorable little girl, whose name, she finds out quickly, is Abby. Bella tries to treat her patient the best way she can but is getting more and more angry at Dr. Cullen's obvious hatred towards her. According to him she isn't doing her job right and is also behaving unprofessional when she flirts with her husband in front of the patients. Husband? And then, suddenly, when Bella explains that Edward is mistaken and she is far from being married, the man's countenance changes and he miraculously starts being more than nice to her. Because rather than hating Bella with a passion, Edward needs her like air to breathe...

ericastwilight managed to write a realistic and very entertaining one-shot. For example, Edward's decision to refuse Bella's application to become a resident did not happen out of sheer annoyance and hatred. Instead, he had good reasons for his actions, reasons which the reader only finds out about a little bit later into the story. Stitches in Times is written both from Bella's and Edward's POV, while ericastwilight wrote Edward's and the talented lisa89 wrote Bella's. It's a great story to read in between long multi-chapter ones, especially because the O/S includes a short future take, so the reader knows what happens to his characters after the main plot is over!

Stitches in Time is a one shot consisting of 14,349 words. The story is rated M for language and lemons.

"The Practice of Love" by belladonnacullen 0

Posted by Anonymous

It is 12 o'clock - lunchtime - and Dr. Bella Swan has an "emergency" waiting in the lab. Based on the dreamy looks of the nurses the young woman prepares herself to meet someone at least as gorgeous as Brad Pitt and is pleased when her expectations are even exceeded. There, dressed with only a thin cotton gown, sits 32-year-old Edward Masen, cancer survivor and the epitome of sexiness.

During one of his regular self checks Edward found a lump on one of his testicles and immediately went to see his uncle, Dr. Carlisle Cullen. Unfortunately for Edward (well, depending on the point of view), Carlisle and his wife Esme decided to spend some days out of town to celebrate their 30th anniversary. That leaves Bella Swan in charge of the practice and Edward in the capable hands of a more than attractive woman...

The Practice of Love is a slow burn. It takes a lot of time for the characters to realize their feelings and admit them to not only themselves but to others around them as well. I'm honest, I've started reading this fanfiction twice and didn't get any further than the first ten chapters. Why? Because I was impatient. Don't expect Bella and Edward to jump into each other's beds at the end of the first chapter, if nothing else than because they are both in more (Jake) or less (Tanya) committed relationships. So as a reader you need a lot of time on your hands to read about all the side plots, get to know the characters (Ness a.k.a. Little Bell is such a cutie!), and watch Bella and Edward get closer, step by step. But once you get into the story, it is one hell of a ride!

The Practice of Love consists of 38 chapters and 342,824 words. The story is rated M for foul language and lemons.

"Compass" by SparklingWand 2

Posted by Anonymous

Edward and Bella have known each other since childhood. Both of them harbor strong feelings for one another but neither is daring to admit it. When they have to go separate ways after their high school graduation, they swear each other one thing: they would always stay in contact and remain the closest of friends, no matter what...

Eleven years later, however, Bella and Edward haven't heard from each other for years. Busy working schedules, an unfortunate misunderstanding, and their own stubbornness prevent them from seeing or even calling each other. Yet one day, fate has its own plans and makes sure that Bella and Edward finally meet again on a plane. When Bella hears first officer Edward Cullen's voice through the speakers nothing can hold her on her seat anymore - she has to see him!

The compass Edward gave to Bella on the last day of summer, is a wonderful metaphor for what the story is really about: true love that always finds its way! Bella and Edward love each other to death but are too insecure to admit it. It's one of those moments when the reader would love nothing more than to shake them until their stupidity falls out of them... well, hopefully. Really, these two are MADE for each other and everyone seems to realize that but them. "Source of Serendipity" by raindrops855 0

Posted by Anonymous

If you're an avid reader of fanfiction you probably noticed that there is a certain pattern in the Bella/Edward stories out there. Despite some variations and/or slight changes, the basic idea always remains the same: when Bella and Edward meet there are sparks, there is a connection, an electric energy flowing around them. They both think about the other as the most beautiful person in the world and know that they cannot escape their feelings - no matter how hard they try.

Well, Source of Serendipity is different. When Edward meets Dr. Isabella Swan for the first time he hates her with a passion. No word about big brown eyes that you can get lost in or creamy skin that looks as soft as feathers. He hates everything about her and in the beginning even refuses to stay in the same room with her. The reasons for these extreme reactions are slowly reveiled - chapter by chapter. And Bella? She sees an arrogant billionaire who thinks the world is waiting at his feet. No bronze-haired adonis. No well-defined jaw. Instead, you have two people who are far from having fuzzy feelings for each other and can hardly communicate without starting a fight. How can that be good story?

Well it is. Source of Serendipity is immensely realistic - it takes a lot of time for the two to somehow talk to each other. Yet even though the reader is not flooded with hugs, kisses, lemons, and sweet moments and progress is slow the story is extremely gripping. You wanna know when they will get together. You wanna know how they get together. Seeing these two finding in each other what they though they would never get is heart-breaking, beautiful, sad, and funny. The story is definitely worth reading!

Source of Serendipity consists of 31 chapters and a total of 231,778 words. The story is rated T and thus suitable for teens over 13 years of age.

"The Nightingale Journals" by kimpy 0

Posted by Anonymous

The moment Edward sees Bella he knows she is the one for him. And because Bella is working as a nurse at the PICU, Edward decides to do his fellowship there to be close to her. The attraction between the two is palpable and it doesn't take long until they give in to their feelings. Yet, while they have a very active sex life, Bella and Edward are also attracted to each others minds. Both are hardworking, smart, and focused and always put their little patients before their own needs. But when Bella is exposed to a patient with menigitis, their perfect world is about to fall apart.

The Nightingale Journals is a very realistic story, most due to the fact that the author is a PICU nurse herself. Medical procedures and diseases are very well explained so that even if you are not familiar with medical terms, you'll be able to understand what's going on. Additionally, kimpy's writing style is well above average. She puts a lot of humor in the story as well as some very kinky sexual adventures! ; ) The fanfiction is highly recommendable!

The Nightingale Journals consists of 41 chapters and a total of 231,945 words. All characters are human. The story is rated MA highly for mature content. If you are under the age of 18, I'll really advise you not to read the fanfiction.

"Forget Me Not" by SydneyAlice 0

He wakes up in a hospital and has know idea who he is. The only thing he is sure of is his first name, Edward. The beautiful nurse at his bedside tells him that he was badly beaten and was found unconscious and without any kind of identification. She also offers him to stay at her place until he knows what happened and where he belongs. After he is released from the hospital Edward goes to stay at Bella's - the nurse, who took care of him. He meets her six-year old daughter Lily as well as Bella's father Charlie, the police officer, who is investigating his case. Slowly, Edward and his new friends start to try and unravel the mysteries surrounding his situation. After a young woman named Alice and his best friend Jasper come into the picture Edward learns about a life he would rather not like to remember.

Forget Me Not was written by the very talented SydneyAlice. Though I'm not such a big fan of her early works, the last couple of fanfictions have been nothing but amazing and interesting. This story is rather short - with a little more than 65,000 words it is only about half as long as the stories I usually read. Nevertheless, the plot is really gripping and you desperately want to know what kind of person Edward really is and whether there is even a chance for him and Bella to stay together. Well done!

Forget Me Not consists of 44 chapters and a total of 66,800 words. All characters are human. The story is rated M for mature content.

"Last Tango in Forks" by AwesomeSauce76 0

Last Tango in Forks is probably the most erotic fanfiction I have ever read. Apart from BDSM stories like Master of the Universe (which I'm not a huge fan of) it doesn't get any hotter than that.

Bella is looking for an apartment and meets a mysterious stranger. From the moment they first see each other, things get extremely sexual. Soon, Bella finds herself visiting her passionate lover on a regular basis, despite the fact that she is engaged. Both try not to get too attached to each other and refrain from revealing anything too private about themselves (including their names). The plan backfires however when Bella is invited to Carlisle and Esme's house (Carlisle is Bella's boss - she's a nurse) and Edward happens to visit his parents...

The story offers the whole spectrum of sexual activities (apart from BDSM). Bella and Edward become very passionate and cannot seem to get enough of each other. While losing themselves in their own little bubble they have demons to fight in real life. Bella struggles with her engagement and Edward is unable to seriously connect to people. It takes some time for the two to finally realize that all they need and want is the other. If you're looking for some hot reading, Last Tango in Forks is the story for you.

Last Tango in Forks consists of 31 chapters and a total of 185,331 words. All characters are human. The story is rated MA for highly mature content. If you are under the age of 18 I'll really advise you not to read the fanfiction.

"Drowning, Not Waving" by Bower-of-Bliss 0

Bella Swan is a part-time swimming instructor at the aquatic center of her best friend's father. One Sunday morning, she is assigned to the toddler group and meets gorgeous Edward Cullen, an adonis of a man. And she meets Emily. His eight-month-year old... daughter? Enchanted by the beautiful stranger and his equally beautiful family, Bella finds herself in a precarious situation: is she willing to fall for a forbidden man?

Drowning, Not Waving is an unbelievably hilarious story. The dialogues are killingly funny - you'll probably need more than one tissue to dry your tears. Especially Bella's very vocal and sassy... erm... hoo-haa Libby makes this story an unforgettable reading experience. Oh, and let's not forget the sexy lemons Bower-of-Bliss manages to add on top. Edward at his best!

So far, Drowning, Not Waving consists of 154 chapters and a total of 269,196 words. All characters are human. The story is rated MA for very graphic description of sexual activities. If you're under the age of 18, I'll really advise you not to read the fanfiction!
