"Foolish Hearts" by LyricalKris 0

Tour guide Edward Masen has had his fair share of experiences with the Oregon Trail - one of the most gruesome travel a person can possibly make. His past choices has led him to work as a full time tour giver under his boss, James, on the trail to those that are traveling in order to aid them with all the necessities essential for them to reach West successfully. When a certain eighteen year old Brunette happens to embark upon this very same trail with her family relatives, Edward cannot help but notice her beauty and quick wit. Unfortunately for him, he is too grief-stricken  by his past that he refuses to lay his eyes on another woman. But with our Bella being ever so persuasive in getting this handsome man's attention, will Edward finally give in and realize that Bella is his one true love? But the issue remains: the trail is not easy to surpass. Are the two lovers being foolish by expanding on their relationship on a trail that can possibly be fatal? Will their love survive in the end?

Foolish Hearts is a mind-blowing story that really brings out the bond of true love between two people. We all know from historical knowledge that the Oregon Trail, was in fact an extremely dangerous path to travel upon when people had to go to the West. Not only does the story portray realism in the sense of the time period, but it also creates two very complicated characters that are somehow, meant for each other. Bella is much younger than Edward, but her sense of wit may lead you to think otherwise; she had lived without her parents for quite a bit of time and knowing that her father had crossed this very same trail and made it to the other side was enough to keep her spirits up. Edward, on the other hand, is more or less the opposite of Bella in terms of his spirits. He still cannot get over his past and its course of events, but with Bella's presence, he seems to be recovering mentally and finally putting his foot down on things. The love between the two of them is really strong and one that will make want to read this fanfiction over and over again! So don't miss out on this fabulous story and leave LyricalKris some love!

Foolish Hearts consists of 28 chapters and a total of 99,249 words. The story is rated M for some language, and sexual activities.

"Snapshots" by LyricalKris 3

All it took was one envelope to turn both Edward and Bella's happily married life upside-down. Three years ago, she thought she loved Edward's brother Jasper. But when an unfortunate car accident occured, things started going downhill. You see, Jasper was a drug addict and although things appeared to be looking up with  Bella and their baby - whom he care for very much - the accident caused him to believe that their baby had not survived. Grief stricken and filled with pain, Jasper drowned back in drugs and left his family. It is then that Edward becomes Bella's rock, and supports her with her daughter as well as her emotions. It's Edward who manages to patch Bella up, and as the years go by, Bella realizes the meaning of true love - one that she had only for Edward. Yes, the baby is Jasper's by blood, but Edward had been more of a father to her than Jasper ever was. Now when everything was finally starting to balance out, this envelope seemed to be toppling things over once more. Will Bella give Jasper another chance and allow him to explain himself?

Snapshots is yet another wonderfully written fanfiction by LyricalKris. As all her stories are, this one will also bring out the emotions in you. What I really loved about this story was Edward's supporting character - he is the perfect husband and father, and the degree to which he loves his family is staggering. I will admit, it is hard to read about Jasper loving Bella, especially if you are a hard-core E/B fan, but trust me that this fanfiction's twist only adds to the fascination of the plot. The best part that pulls you into the fanfiction is Jasper's character. You have to understand that he is a man that has an unfortunate disease and although he made poor decisions in light of that, he loved his family very much. So don't dislike him! The character development is huge in Jasper and you can't help but feel for him too. Don't hesitate to delve into this amazing story just because Jasper plays a bug part; you will be surprised as to how much you love it! This is a fantastic story about brotherly love, forgiveness, redemption, and self-healing. Please do give it a try!

Snapshots consists of 25 chapters and a total of 92,211 words. The story is  E/B and rated M for language and sexual content.

"Lost Half" by LyricalKris 0

"You are not going to be the last face I see. You are not going to be my murderer. I have things to do, and I'm going to do them."

All Bella Swan planned to do was go on a date and have a nice night out. Although she believed in the prospect of true love and wasn't happy when her best friend Rosalie set her up with someone she met on an online dating website, the young woman agreed to go out with Mike Newton to humor her. After all, he sounded like a nice enough guy and Bella was willing to give him and their date a chance - what could go wrong, right? But from the moment she comes face to face with the blue-eyed man, things go downhill. Bella is kidnapped and locked up; held against her will by a terrifyingly sick man...

While Bella experiences her worst nightmare, having no hope that she'll ever be found, Rosalie and her husband Emmett have started looking for their friend. Together with the FBI, they suspect Newton behind Bella's disappearance and contact Edward Cullen, the CEO of the online dating website where Bella met Mike to tell him about the recent events. Edward is more than devastated that his website was at least partially responsible for the terrible fate this young woman has found herself in and wants nothing more than to help the brown-eyed girl. Despite the fact that he doesn't know Bella at all, Edward feels extremely guilty that she is suffering because his website was used for the wrong purpose. If he had only made it safer, the whole thing might have never happened in the first place. He vows to himself to do anything he can to get Bella back home, alive and healthy. But will he also be able to bring her back as the same person she was before? Will she be able to forget the monster who brought her so much pain and love the man who rescued her instead?

Lost Half is a story that has touched my heart in more ways than one and it's definitely a must read! LyricalKris has yet again managed to mesmerize me with another one of her stories. The characters in this story, especially Edward and Bella, are people with true bravery. I absolutely fell in love with this Edward, whose strong connection with Bella is based on love as well as shared pain. He can somewhat relate to what Bella goes through and, through that, is able to bring her back to health. That in and of itself is an immensely difficult thing to do, given the traumatic events that Bella has experienced, which brings me to warn you all that this story is rated MA for a reason! I highly suggest that you only read the fanfic if you are 18 or older because the story deals with violent details of abuse and rape. Still, I don't want to scare you away from this beautiful piece of fiction, you would definitely miss out on something wonderful! Lost Half definitely promotes the message to never give up, no matter what, something that really impressed me! Add to that the sweet love developing between Edward and Bella and you have story that you really should read!!!

Lost Half consists of 30 chapters and a total of 100,314 words. The story is rated MA for graphic violence/abuse, language, mention of rape, and dark content.

"All I Have To Give" by LyricalKris 0

"For a princess, virtue is a prize to be given away to the highest bidder. This is a problem when you're in love with a man who cannot possibly win."

Bella is a princess betrothed to Prince James, a man who can be charming and gentle, but who can also be cruel and violent. She has no other choice but to marry him - even though her heart belongs to the young servant boy Edward, who was abandoned by his parents when he was a child. They grew up together and their friendship soon turned into love. Their deep feelings for each other are the only thing keeping them from falling to pieces after the announcement of Bella's engagement. Bella only wishes for Edward, her true and only love, and wants him to be her first. To feel loved by him and only him before anyone else. Taking the council of her hand maiden Alice, she discovers a way to lay with Edward and keep her womanhood for her future husband. Love is very powerful, but when birthright and titles hold power above everything else, it is difficult to find your happy ending. But things aren't always as they seem and secrets long kept might become the key for Edward and Bella to have it all.

This story was an entry for the Let#s Do Anal Contest and we gotta admit, it was a pretty clever premise! It made us wonder if, maybe, back then, there were more who found themselves in Bella and Edward's position and would do the same to be with the one they love before they were given away to another. Poor Bella has it rough, she has duties but no powers. She might be a princess, but as power is only held by men, she has little say. Thanks to her Uncle Aro, a man whose greed for power orchestrated a lot of atrocities throughout the years, she has no choice but to wed the future king of Nomadia. It's an angsty and tragic tale, especially when James singles out Edward to torture and demean, but both Edward and Bella hold strong, knowing the payoff will be worth it. We are not gonna lie, this was a tough read for us - we don't like it when Edward gets hurt but like every story by the talented LyricalKris, we weren't disappointed as things end up on a happy note. Go check out this great short story that is written from a third-person's perspective and don't forget to leave a review. You won't regret it!

All I Have To Give consists of 15 chapters and 54,333 words. The story is rated M for violence and sexual activities.

"Suddenly" by LyricalKris 0

Edward Cullen is a 36 year old actor and pretty much has it all: fame, fortune, talent, charisma, a big fan base and no lack of lady companionship, even though he always acts like a gentleman. Yet still he finds himself feeling dispassionate about what he does - not to mention life in general. His friends affectionately call him an "asshole", and even though they love Edward to death, that name actually suits him well. So it is one of his friends, Garrett, who suggests a “reset” of sorts: a vacation away from the Hollywood life to hopefully help him find what he had lost. Little did Edward know that he was going to find that passion in the least likely of places, or should we say, of people? Enter Bella Swan, 18-year-old senior high school student, just coming into her own after a bad breakup, and last but not least, the niece of Edward’s sister-in-law, Rosalie. He was always larger than life to her. She was always just a child on the edge of his horizon. For both, love was a silly game other people played, until it wasn't.

This fan fiction touches the "forbidden love" subject beautifully. You will experience the struggle both Bella and Edward face when they realize that their feelings for each other have changed from platonic and familial to something more. They always had this special connection, but it isn't until Edward returns after several years of being gone that everyone begins to question the nature of that connection and the feelings involved. He is the first one to realize what is going on and he tries to push Bella away, but things don’t always work out the way we plan them and soon Edward finds himself going back to her. The Edward in "Suddenly" knows very well what he risks by starting a relationship with someone so young, so he makes the effort to support Bella. Bella on the other hand, as any young girl her age, has her insecurities and is even bullied at school, once her relationship with Edward hits the national news. Classmate throw slurs at her at school and the paparazzi paint her a gold digging slut on the tabloids. But she takes it all with grace and her head held high, even though she still can’t help but shed a few tears at night.

This story is told in both Bella and Edward’s point of view and it is loosely inspired by the musical Gigi. Like all of LyricalKris’ stories, the romance is always present as Edward and Bella’s relationship blooms, but we all know that drama and angst are just around the corner. However, we have to give her some credit because said drama and angst don't really last long. They face a few roadblocks - even a couple from family members - but both Edward and Bella pull through and like in every story by this author, you will have a happily ever after. We loved this fan fictions so much and we had been dying to review it. Now that it’s complete with the promise of an outtake, we wanted to encourage everyone else to read. Trust us, you won’t regret it!

Suddenly consists of 29 chapters and a total of 54,848 words. The story is rated M for sexual situations and adult language.

"Do the Right Thing" by LyricalKris 4

Agent Edward Cullen was a well-respected FBI agent. Together with his hand-in-hand partner, Agent Jasper Hale, he had always been able to solve cases successfully. But when he takes over a case that requires catching two members of one of the most dangerous criminal gangs in town, Edward definitely didn't expect his life to turn upside down! On the first day of his mission, he becomes the witness of how a beautiful brunette breaks up with none other than Jacob Black, a guy pivotal for the successful closing of the case. Said brunette soon becomes an important help to the FBI: even though Bella Swan had just ditched Jacob she now agrees to pretend to make up with him in order to help Edward and Jasper to gain some useful information. What no one considers, however, is the immense attraction between Edward and Bella that should soon turn into real love. As the two FBI agents have to take care of Bella's security 24/7, they are constantly keeping an eye on her. For Edward, seeing how his girl is sweet-talking Jacob, is less than thrilling and is playing with his patience. Then, the bust suddenly goes astray, leaving Jacob dead and Bella in the hospital. Edward is shocked to find out that the love of his life is not only six weeks pregnant with his child but also suffers from amnesia. Will Edward be able to bring Bella's memories back while also solving the case?

As with most of her stories, LyricalKris' Do the Right Thing has you hooked from chapter one! This mind-blowing fanfic starts out with Edward learning about Bella's serious condition in the hospital. Until chapter ten, each chapter is divided into two parts: the first being about the past, with all the events leading up to the failed bust, and the second dealing with the current situation and Bella's recovery. Despite this rather unusual structure, the author manages to grab the readers attention and creates a lot of suspense by only giving away one piece of information after the other.  Furthermore, the story is entirely in third perspective, which the author uses to its benefit and allows the reader to get in everyone's heads really well. You will spend a lot of time on trying to put the puzzle pieces together and probably won't be able to stop reading the story until you find out exactly what happened to Bella and how! I can also guarantee that you will fall in love with hot FBIward in this story as well as Bella, who remains positive and strong throughout the whole story despite her initial loss of senses.
This is a beautiful story that will have you at the ends of your seats! So much enigma, so much romance (hot ones, at that!), and a sexy Edward - what else do you need in a fantastic story? A must read that shouldn't be as overlooked!

Do the Right Thing consists of 32 chapters and 132,340 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual activities/references.

"Contractually Bound" by LyricalKris 0

Posted by Anonymous

When Edward and Bella were young all they wanted was to get married, go to Dartmouth together, find their dream jobs (in his case that meant opening a successfull business; in her case it meant becoming a scientist), buy a house, and live happily ever after with their 2.5 children and dogs. Alas, life is like a chocolate box and you never know what you get; Bella and Edward break up and their bubble bursts from one day to the next.
Now, eight years later, things are not at all the way they were supposed to be. Instead of sitting in a lab and working on getting the next Nobel prize, Bella stayed in Forks and works in a local diner as a cook. Her tiny apartment is on the floor above the restaurant and though she keeps it clean and neady, all furniture is covered with a slight grease film. Nevertheless, the young girl makes the best of her situation and works hard every day. After years, she finally managed to save enough money to allow her to enroll at a community college. Remember the chocolate box? Yes, it only takes one knock at the door to ruin all of Bella's plans in an instant. Again.

Because walking into her small apartment is no other than Edward; that is, an angry and cold version of the Edward she came to love as a teenager. Bella learns that Edward's mother Esme is terminally ill and only has a couple of months left. Esme has always been a defender of Bella and knows in her heart the she and her son are destined to be together. So instead of doing the things she enjoys, Edward's mother constantly worries about her son and the cold demeanor he put on after Bella left. She wants for nothing more than for him to forgive the young woman and getting back together with her. And that is why Edward hands Bella a contract he demands (!) her to sign - it's the least she can do after all the hurt she caused, isn't it? The contract defines that Bella has to marry Edward and to pretend to happily in love with him - at least for as long as Esme is still alive. Without hesitatition Bella signs, but she had no idea how difficult and painful her life with Edward would be...

Contractually Bound is immensely realistic! As LyricalKris says: "I believe in HEA, I just [also] believe in making my characters work for it!" And having to work for it, they do! Edward is horribly cruel to Bella throughout a good third of the story. All the frustration he has - the unhappiness with his job and current place of living (NYC), the fear of losing his mother, and the hatred he harbors for his ex-girlfriend - all of this he throws at Bella with a passion! It was not easy for me to read, but it occured to me numerous times while doing it anyway that this is what real life is like. So don't expect cute makeout sessions, at least not until the last five chapters. This story is not about lemons, and dirty talk, or tons of fluff. This story is about two people who love each other so much that they cannot let the other go, even though it hurts like hell. Contractually Bound is a dramatic story, but wonderfully written. Last but not least, I'd like to mention that LyricalKris picked up the plot from other authors (GinnyW 31 and sshg316 - they had already written the first four chapters) and for that all I can say is "Chapeau!"

Contracutally Bound consists of 23 chapters and 82,259 words. The story is rated M for angst and reference to sexual activities.
