"Off Piste" by landdownunder 0

Posted by Anonymous

Bella Swan has almost everything she could've ever hoped for: an amazing career that earned her a gold medal in women's mogul freestyle skiing at the last Olympic Games, a wonderful family, and great and supportive friends. The only thing missing is a long-lasting and loving relationship. Enter Edward Cullen. Cocky, absurdly handsome, and unbelievably talented skier Edward Cullen to be exact; a man, who is currently on the best way to win two gold medals in the disciplines Super G and Downhill. Ever since the two had a quick yet highly sexual and passionate run-in three years ago, Bella can't get the bronze-hair adonis out of her head. It's him she compares every other man to and whose career she follows carefully.

When she sees him again at the current Olympic games, she tries her best to play it cool and not show how much she wants to get to know him. Believing that Edward is nothing more than a snow-ho - someone only looking for a quick fu** with snow bunnies instead of pursuing a serious relationship - she avoids him at all costs. Nevertheless, she and Edward continue meeting on several occasions which he uses to explain to her that she means more to him than a simple one-night stand. Unfortunately, his upcoming competition forces him to stay focused and keep a distance, at least until he's done with the Games. Yet both this and Bella's plan to give him the brush off don't work out and the two are finally forced to talk about what they feel...

Off Piste is a quick read that is nicely written and full of adorable fluff. Completely written from Bella's POV, the reader encounters the charming and sweet Edward Cullen through her eyes. He is pretty much every woman's wet dream and it becomes obvious how much he wants and cares for Bella (even though she doesn't realize it). The first couple of chapters have a comparatively normal length, however, after all characters are explained and the main plot is introduced, the author switches to short chapters, similar to those found in drabble fics. Though this is the main reason why this fanfic is such a quick read, it also tends to break the otherwise wonderful story in too many too tiny pieces. Last but not least, there is also a good amount of humor in this story, especially in the beginning, when Edward and Bella use their time together to do nothing but banter with each other. Though there are a lot of nice lemons in Off Piste, none of them are overly graphic. Still, you should definitely give this story a chance - it's perfect if you're in need of something fluffy and short!

Off Piste consists of 51 chapters and a total of 58,949 words. The story is rated M for numerous lemons and foul language.

"Volition" by Rochelle Allison 0

To Bella Swan, there’s nothing more painful than being hopelessly in love with her brother’s best friend and infamous womanizer, Edward Cullen. Especially when she believes to know that the man who owns her heart will never think of her as anything other than a little sister. In Belfast, Ireland, in 1972, the time calls for anything but for a rebel to fall in love. The involvement of Edward and Bella’s brother Emmett in the Irish Republican Army terrifies Bella to know end, but she keeps close to the two anyway, unable to resist Edward’s persuasive, green eyes. When Bella finds a gun, hidden under her bed by her brother Emmett, it’s Edward who ends up having to explain and their argument is quickly halted when he kisses Bella. The next day, a bomb blast strands them together in a shelter for the night. What Bella believed could only happen in her wildest dreams has suddenly become reality. She knows that falling in love with a rebel is the stupidest thing to do, given the circumstances. But she does it anyway.

Edward Cullen knows everything about his best friend’s little sister. He even knows that she’s been in love with him ever since she was old enough to start liking boys. With a sister of his own, he knows that the last thing he needs right now is putting another beloved person in danger through his activities. Unfortunately though, he just can’t seem to stay away from the beautiful brunette that he’s grown up with. When fate presents him with a night away from the violence; a night that allows him to spend it with the one girl he could never have, he can’t help but seize the moment. Now, he not only has to deal with lusting after his best friend sister anymore but also with his enemies targeting a woman that he simply can’t bare to lose. Can a girl-next-door and a rebel ever get their happy-ever-after?

Rochelle Allison is one of Twilight fanfiction’s most beloved authors, and for good reason. She knows exactly what to write and how to write it. The very first chapter is enough to get you hooked to the entire story. Her introduction of the characters is fluid and effortless and you will find yourself falling in love with them quickly due to their firm and likeable personalities. Another plus is the flawless grammar and spelling, which makes reading this story so much more pleasant. The plot itself is perfect - absolutely believable and heart-warming, and the fact that Bella and Edward are stuck in a forbidden love just adds that much more appeal to the story. Volition is a classic among Twilight fanfictions. Reading it is almost like a rite of passage. So if you haven’t read the story already, make sure you give it a shot!

Volition consists of 31 chapters and 150,667 words. The story is rated MA for descriptive sexual activities, foul language and slight violence.

"A Night with the Royal Staff" by MrsK81 0

Posted by Anonymous

Shortly after graduation, Bella Swan is persuaded by her girlfriends to spend the next couple of months exploring and enjoying London. However, the moment they arrive in the rainy city, they realize that in order to have a roof over their heads and some food to eat, they need to work. Bella and her friend Jessica find a job in an haute cuisine restaurant that also happens to sometimes cater for the Royal Family. And so, one evening, Bella finds herself waiting on kings, queens, princes, and people worth more money than her father's house. And among the many guests, one man has taken a particular interest in her...

HRH Prince Edward hates his life. Bugged by his conservative parents and his even more conservative grandmother (aka Grand Bitch), the young man longs for nothing more than normalcy. Instead of being the future King of England, Edward would love to enjoy the night with his friends and marry out of love rather than convenience. As fed up as he is by the people of the high society, it is no wonder that the moment he meets Bella at a banquet, he is more than intrigued. The girl is smart, funny, never says or does what he would expect, and, most importantly, doesn't seem to give a damn that his a prince. Unable to stay away from her they spend a passionate night together at Bella's apartment (having the best sex of their lives, thank you very much) and promise to stay in touch. Until Bella's visa expires in six months, she and Edward agree to spend as much time together as possible. However, they also promise each other that no feelings would get involved. Yeah, right...

This fanfiction is funny, smartly written and well researched (everything having to do with the royalty sounds very realistic). Edward and Bella have wit and own a sizable amount of sarcasm. Bella's occasional lack of filter is hilarious and Edward's opinion about his grandmother will probably have you falling from your sofa laughing. Moreover, the two don't waste any time in getting intimate. As A Night with the Royal Staff was initially planned to be a one-shot (thank God, MrsK81 changed her mind and expanded the story) you will already have your first lemon in the first chapter. Last but not least, the story also has some serious drama in store for you, let me just say that Edward's deal with his father is more than... interesting.

A Night with the Royal Staff consists of 24 chapters and a total of 117,978 words. The story is rated M for lemons and language. A sequel has also been published, A Life with the Royal Staff.

"Two Stepping" by Jewels64 0

Seattle journalist Bella Swan is sent to Houston, Texas to interview Jasper Whitlock, a champion horse trainer. When she finally arrives in her hotel (sweaty and exhausted) she decides to pay a short visit to the small bar down in the lobby. So, after spending an extensive amount of time in the bath tub, Bella wears a fire engine red halter dress, puts on some killer heels and makes her downstairs. Unfortunately, our lovely young journalist didn't take her clumsiness into consideration resulting in stumbling her way into the arms of an amazingly charming cowboy.
Edward helps Bella out of her shoes, introduces himself and invites the beautiful lady over for a drink and some small talk. The sexual tension is palpable. While Bella just cannot take her eyes of Edward's slim hips and they way his jeans hug him in all the righ places, Edward is mesmerized by Bella's chocolate brown eyes and alluring smell. Too bad that none of them thinks about asking the other for his/her number when they part at the end of the night...

Yet Bella has an idea with whom she just had the time of her life: Edward Cullen, world-class horse breeder and an English fu**ing Duke, ladies and gentlemen. And according to Bella, also a man way out of her league. So the next morning she tries to stop thinking about all her fuzzy feelings and meets Jasper for breakfast. She is smitten by his charm but forgets all about the interview the moment Edward walks in. When he finds out about Bella's profession, he's "so not amused" and awefully rude. However, realizing his mistake quickly he manages to convince Bella to meet him for lunch. And that's when the story really starts...

Two Stepping is comparatively old as it was finished in 2009. What I like about the fanfic is that the author, Jewels64, managed to pepper the story with catchy phrases from the Twilight books and first two films without it sounding too cheasy or forced. Furthermore, Edward and Bella are SO insatiable. You will find a lot of hand jobs, fingering, and mind-boggling sex in Two Stepping and I think most of you will be happy to hear that! But, don't think this is just a story about sex, there are also a lot of problems that are waiting around the corner, one, for example, starts with "Ro" and ends with "salie"...

Two Stepping consists of 53 chapters and 209,666 words. The story is rated MA for lemons and foul language.

"The Search" by Amber1983 0

Bella Swan has a secret that, although neither shameful nor her fault, cost her her marriage and life in Forks, Washington. In order to leave her disastrous past behind, she decides to take over a job at the London branch of her company Volturi Executive Search and Selection. Once safely in the UK, Bella visits her future work space to meet her new colleagues and boss, number one headhunter Edward Cullen. She is definitely not prepared for what life has in store for her...

When Edward Cullen meets his new PA he is blown away. Forgotten are the old days as notorious womanizer; the headhunter now only has one woman in mind - Bella. And even though the latter makes clear that it would be better for both of them to remain friends, Edward can't manage to hide his feelings. But will he be willing and able to deal with Bella's secret?

Amber 1983 really knows how to deal with a delicate topic because Bella's little secret is... as unusual as it is unexpected, to say the least. Honestly, I had no idea "problems" like these even existed and definitely learned a lot while reading the story! But don't worry, even though this slightly unorthodox "secret" is the source for a lot of drama and some angst, the whole matter is neither frivolous nor cheap. Well, have I aroused your interest? Trust me, you REALLY want to read this! : )

The Search consists of 31 chapters and a total of 182,812 words. The story is rated MA for graphic description of sexual activities, insinuation of domestic abuse and foul language.
