  Actorward: Edward is a professional actor and works either in front of the camera or on stage. He might be an aspiring young actor or a Hollywood superstar. Examples: Help Wanted

  Agent/Policeward: Edward works for the Police Department, the FBI, CIA, Home Security, or the like. He is very well trained and knows how to use firearms. Examples: Blood & Glory, Through the Looking Glass

  Architectward: Edward either works for or owns an architecture firm. This means that he designs everything from houses, hospitals, and apartments. Examples: The Glass House

  Artist/Designerward: Edward makes a living out of being creative. He might be a painter, a photographer, sculptor, or graphic designer. He has an eye for good art and is usually very thorough in his work. Examples: Last Tango in Forks, Taking Chances

  Attorney/Lawyerward: Edward either works for or owns a law firm. He could be specialized in family law, criminal law, or employment law and is usually exceptionally successful. Examples: Songbird

  Bookward: Edward has a passion for books. He might be a librarian, work in the archives of a museum, or own/work in a bookstore. Examples: Between the Covers, Love Amongst the Ruins

  Brokenward: Edward has experienced a traumatic event at some point in his life: he might have lost a loved one or killed another person, he might often get into bar brawls, he might have been or still is addicted to drugs or alcohol, he might suffer from insomnia, an anxiety disorder or depression.   CEO/Bossward: Edward either holds a high position in a successful business company (e.g. CEO or Vice President) or owns the latter. He is usually among the best in his field and makes a more than decent salary ever month. In many stories, Edward is Bella's immediate superior. Examples: The Search, Mask of Indifference

  Cowboy/Southernward: Edward lives and works in the southern part of the U.S. He could own or work at a farm and usually dresses cowboy-style, i.e. low hanging jeans, boots, plaid shirts, and a cowboy hat. He often has a southern accent. Examples: Deep in the Heart, Walk

  Criminal/Prisonward: Edward doesn't like to adhere to the law and might have been imprisoned at one moment in time. He might be a thief, an assassin, or the head of a criminal organization. Examples: A Pound of Flesh, What I Want

  Daddyward: Edward either has children or loves them dearly. He could be a single father, might raise children with a spouse/girlfriend or simply feel a special bond to Bella's kids.   Doctorward: Edward studied medicine and is now either a doctor or a nurse. He might work in a hospital, have his own practice, or care for the elderly or disabled people. Examples: The Nightingale Journals, Indecent Proposal

  Foreignward : Edward was not born in the United States. In many fanfictions he has British or Irish roots, sometimes he's Italian. Accordingly, he might have a slight accent or use country-specific vocabulary. Examples: The Search, Two Stepping

  History/Periodward: Edward doesn't live in the 21st century but at some time in the past. Among other things, he could be from Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance or the 1960's.   Homelessward : Edward is homeless and poor. He may live on the streets, a shelter, bum off someone's couch on a good day... he has no permanent place to call home and can some days go without food.

  Mobward: Edward is a mob boss or the son of one. His daily life consists of drug deals, murder, and blackmail. He is usually very well off, owns expensive cars, and lives in a luxurious apartment/house. Mobwards are often well-toned and know martial arts. Examples: There Will Be Blood, Shamrocks & Shenanigans

  Musicianward: Edward is in love with music and makes a living out of it. He writes and composes his own songs and plays at least one instrument. He might be solo artist of be part of a band, such as a singer/rockstar. Examples: It's A Sign, Move Like You Want

  Politicianward: Edward works in politics. He could be a major, governor, Senator, or the President. In most cases he is a Democrat and comes from a long line of politically active men and women. Examples: The Senator's Son, All the President's Men

  Royalward: Edward is a nobleman. He might be king of a fictitious country or be a member of the British crown. Often, Edward feels unhappy with being royalty and despises the antiquated rules and customs. Examples: A Night with the Royal Staff

  Soldierward: Edward has served or serves in the army. He might be a veteran or could currently be deployed abroad. Examples: Departures, By Your Leave

  Sportward : Edward is a professional athlete. That means that he is training regularly and takes part in competition. Among many other things, he could be football player, baseball player, or a tennis player. Examples: Foul Territory, Games, Set, Match

  Studentward : Edward is either still in high school or chose to go to university/college. He has to prepare for exams, might live on-campus and belong to a fraternity. Examples: Comp Sem 101, Hit by Destiny

  Tattward : Tattward means that Edward has a number of tattoos and is usually a tattoo artist himself. Often he also sports several piercings. Examples: The Ride of Your Life

  Teacher/Professorward: Edward is either a teacher in high school, college, university, or a private institution. He might also work as a tutor or TA. Examples: The Weight of Words, Parma High

  Writer/Editorward: Edward loves to write. He might be a journalist or a fiction author, for example specializing in children's literature or crime novels. Examples: Snowbound, Follow Through
