"A Little Bit Stronger" by SydneyAlice 1

Bella Swan had a traumatic experience a few years ago, and now she is afraid of being around strangers - men specifically. So when she goes to her usual spot at the park bench one day, she doesn't expect for a green-eyed man sitting there and feeding breadcrumbs to the neighboring ducks - something that she did during her lunch breaks. Bella is more than hesitant to sit on that same bench with him, and even considers turning around and going back to her office for work, but when the stranger looks at her and says, "Look, my name is Edward. I am twenty-four years old. I'm a musician, and I promise I am the most polite man you'll ever meet because my mother would beat me otherwise.", she's sold. She decides to trust the man for once in her life. In fact, she is more than surprised that Edward seems to understand her really well, and is more than patient for her to feel comfortable. So it becomes a routine of sorts for both of them everyday - they come to bench near lunchtime and feed the ducks together... Will Edward be able to break all of her wall down completely? Will Bella let him in and see that he is nothing but a caring man who loves her?

A Little Bit Stronger has to be one of my favorite one-shots I have ever read! This beautiful piece of fiction will have you hooked from the very first sentence. When I finished the story the very same day in a couple of minutes, I was actually surprised to find myself completely in love with it. SydneyAlice manages to incorporate a fabulous plot as well as a mix of romance, hurt/comfort, and humor all into just about 5000 words! Edward is a kind young man who is recently new to the area, and he is able to comprehend the situation Bella is in. He is nothing but supportive in the matter, and his love for Bella is completely pure. His patience pays off when he is able to convince Bella that he would never hurt her, and Bella knows that Edward is the one for her. A sweet love story that will tug at your hearts! Don't forget to take an hour off for this story everyone, or you will regret missing out on it!

A Little Bit Stronger is a one-shot and consists of 5,533 words. The story is rated M for content, language, and a few sexual activities.

Bella Swan is a hardworking young woman, who has taken on a job at the local diner in order to gather money for her college tuition. After the death of her father and her mother becoming addicted to alcohol, Bella leaves her life behind and moves to Seattle to start fresh. She knows that working at a diner isn't ideal but it pays money, something that the young woman desperately needs if she wants to fulfill herself a lifelong dream: becoming a writer. One night, when Bella is about to start closing down the small restaurant, a disheveled looking man walks in. He looks nothing short of ragged, with torn pants and a dirty t-shirt, and yet, Bella notices that he wears an expensive Rolex around his wrist. Also, despite his poor choice of clothing, the guy is utterly impressive with his messy bronze hair and bright, emerald-colored eyes. After Bella hands him a cup of coffee and goes back to clean things up. However, when she turns back around, the young man is gone, the coffee is left untouched, and the Rolex is lying on the table...

After that more than strange event, Bella decides to go home and locks up. She asks the owner to keep the Rolex for the young man, in case he notices he lost it and returns. Yet after only walking for a few minutes, Bella sees the young man standing at the Washington Street Bridge, staring down at the water below him. When she realizes that he is about to jump, Bella runs over to where he stands and manages to pull Edward - that's what he calls himself - away from the danger. She drags the flabbergasted young man all the way to her home and he follows without hesitation, needing comfort and love. The latter leads to a passionate night, both of them wanting to give the other a piece of love that they've been missing for so long. It's a night that changes everything. Bella and Edward have had a rough life, yet being together allows them to see things from a new and better perspective. Everything seems right - now - but will they be able to overcome their pasts and focus on the future?

Moments is an extremely heart-touching and realistic story that should not be missed at any costs! What I absolutely love about this fanfiction is that SydneyAlice manages to create such an amazing and intricate plot in just sixteen chapters. The fic's title is pretty much its tenor: if Bella had not been at the Washington Bridge at the exact moment Edward was about to jump, he would have died. Furthermore, each moment they experience, together or separate, is important and formative for their lives. Like all of us, Bella and Edward never know what is waiting for them around the corner, so they have to live day by day. Another aspect which makes the story even better are the lemons. You may have experienced hot, or panty-dropping smut in fanfictions, but let me tell you that Moments' lemons are breath-takingly intense! And I mean that in a very positive way; you will literally feel the love that is pouring out of the two lovers. These love-making sessions are toe-curling and electrifying and much more exhilarating than anything you have ever read before! Hurt, comfort, love, lemons, and a HEA - what more do you want in a fanfic? A MUST READ!!!

Moments consists of 16 chapters and a total of 30,466 words. The story is rated M for sexual activities, language, and brief mention of suicide.

"I Thee Wed" by SydneyAlice 0

Posted by Anonymous

Together with her best friend Alice Whitlock, Bella Swan makes sure that Seattle's brides get the weddings of their dreams. The two own "I Thee Wed", a successful wedding planner company that is widely known in the area and are being employed by some of the most affluent of Seattle's socialites whom they help in picking China, dresses, and photographers. When the story starts, the two friends are completely immersed in the organization of the Weber-Cullen wedding, one of their bigger projects of the year. And though the whole event will cost the two families a fortune, neither the bride nor the groom are very interested and involved in the planning process.

Whenever Bella isn't at work, she spends time with her 10-year-old nephew Henry, the son of her brother Emmett. The latter is divorced from Rosalie, Henry's mother, and as they can hardly seem to stand each other's company, their son is often seeking refuge at his aunt's place. Henry also has a talent for playing the guitar, which is why he takes extra classes. One day, when Bella picks up her nephew from one of those classes, she runs into Edward, his music teacher. Their attraction is instantaneous and thanks to a meddling Henry the three of them end up grabbing dinner at McDonald's. Edward and Bella can both feel the electricity flowing between them and make plans to meet again. The next evening, they go to a club, Skylark, and spend hours talking, eating, and dancing. And though they are more than perfect for each other, Edward doesn't contact Bella after that night. Confused and hearbroken, Bella tries to forget her more than perfect match but is unsuccessful. She can't help but go back to the club that holds so many great memories for her and is suddenly enveloped by a pair of  strong arms. Her Edward is back but Bella has to learn the hard way why he tried to distance himself from her. Because Edward Cullen is going to be married. To Angela Weber. And Bella is their wedding planner...

Two things are important to know when it comes to this story: one, nothing is as it seems - NOTHING; and two, there is a big HEA waiting for you guys, I promise. After all, SydneyAlice would never leave you hanging in this regard and I Thee Wed is definitely no exception to that. Moreover, it includes one of the sweetest Edwards ever written as he really worships the ground Bella walks on. He knows right away that she is it for him, something that makes his secret even more unbearable. The young teacher hurts in more ways than one and it's heartbreaking to read how conflicted (and stubborn) he is. The love between Bella and Edward might seem sudden to some and their feelings might seem too strong too fast, but it's just one of those times when two people who were always meant for each other meet and sparks fly. If you can get used to that, you will thorougly enjoy this fanfic. The story is written from both POVs, which means the reader smells the drama long before the characters do. Last but not least, IF this fanfic has a flaw then that is that it's rated T, which means absolutely no lemony goodness waiting for you. However, the story is still worth reading, trust me, it's really well written and full of drama - so give it a try!

I Thee Wed consists of 19 chapters and 68,377 words. The story is rated M for profanities.

"Such Great Heights" by SydneyAlice 0

Edward Cullen is beyond frustrated as nanny after nanny resigns and/or refuses to begin working in the first place. The reason: Edward's five-year-old son Riley. Only four months earlier, his (soon to be ex-wife) Jessica simply dumped the little boy on him and left without a single thought. Riley, more so than Edward, took to her blatant disappearance harshly. He turned into himself, dismissing everyone who tried to come too close to him. Enter Bella Swan, a young woman in desperate need of a job, who hears about Edward's unfortunate situation through his sister Rosalie. Though her dream job had always been teaching in elementary school, she was unable to find work. Therefore, Bella decides to give it a try and starts working as Riley Cullen's nanny. Unfortunately, her first encounter with father and son doesn't turn out very well...

By the end of her first day Bella knows why Riley makes so many problems: it seems like Mrs. Jessica Cullen set rigid and stupid rules, expecting her four-year old boy to behave like an adult - no toys, books, or play dates included. Instead she wants to turn him into the prodigal son she always wanted to have. Interestingly enough, it isn't just Riley, who is bound in the rules of the never present woman - Edward is as well! As a lawyer he has to work hard and long hours, therefore not having much time for Riley. He beats himself up for his son's deranged behavior. The love he has for his son - really the only kind of love he ever felt for someone - is profound and it's therefore unbearable for him to witness Riley suffer. Edward finds himself in need of a companion; someone who would understand him, someone in whom he could confide. Soon, after Bella's starts working her magic and begins rounding off the boys' rough edges into smooth ones, what once seemed like a cold and unwelcome home (as Bella has to take care of Riley 24/7 she moved in with him and Edward) suddenly becomes a warm and colorful home. It doesn't take long for the two green-eyed Cullen boys to fall in love with the new nanny. But does Bella have the courage to seriously commit to them after all she has been through in her past? And what will happen when Jessica suddenly returns, demanding to reclaim her child?

SydneyAlice has written many excellent fanfictions and this is definitely one of her best! You will immediately find yourself falling in love with adorable little Riley and his need for unconditional love. Each character has a significant role in the story, no matter how big or small, and although you will come to hate Jessica's antagonistic character (I know I did!), you come to terms with the way Sydneyalice depicts her by the end of the fanfic. There are also two unique characters portrayed in this story that are rarely included in other fanfics: Carmen, a motherly woman who works as caretaker and cook at Edward's house, and Jane, who is a child psychiatrist and helps Riley with his emotions. Overall, Such Great Heights is a story that will tug at your heart with the amount of emotions it displays and you will find yourself eagerly anticipating the happily ever after that Edward, Bella, and Riley deserve. I absolutely loved this fanfic and have no doubt that you will too!

Such Great Heights consists of 32 chapters and 107,444 words. The story is rated M for foul language and references to sexual activities.

"Turn the Page" by SydneyAlice 0

Posted by Anonymous

When Edward Cullen left his home town Forks at the age of 20, he dreamt of becoming a successful musician. Together with his guitar he traveled the country for a whole decade, yet except for one recorded album and a couple of gigs here and there Edward wasn't able to climb up the career ladder. And so, with little money and pespectives left, he moves back to where he came from and decides to live with his parents (at least temporarily). And after arriving in Forks, he immediately realizes that A LOT of things have changed, many of which will take some getting used to: the town got a new high school, the librarian passed away, his brother Emmett is the local firefighter, he sees his two 4-year-old nieces for the first time, his baby sister Alice brings home a serious boyfriend, his sister-in-law Rose gives him the stink eye, there's a new chief of police and, last but not least, a new bookstore opened. The latter awakes Edward's interest and he isn't fully prepared for the little firecracker he meets.

Bella Swan and her father have just moved to Forks. To honor her late mother, Bella decided to open her own bookstore and due to her passion for music it also offers a small collection of instruments and music supplies. When Edward peruses the shelves, he stumbles upon his album. Shocked yet happy, he offers the beautiful girl with the big brown eyes to sign it. Well, ladies and gentlemen, Bella Swan isn't a charity case and she'll makes sure that Edward knows it...

SydneyAlice, what can I say? If you haven't yet read one of her stories, you just can't be helped. She's probably among the top three of the most-often read Twilight fanfic writers out there and that is for a reason! Her stories don't know what grammatical mistakes are and you will find close to no typos. The characters are well-portrayed and the plot is engaging and interesting. All of this applies to Turn the Page, there is is just one thing you won't find: too graphic lemons. *sigh*

Turn the Page consists of 21 chapters and 86,141 words. The story is rated M for adult situations and language.

"Between the Covers" by cosmogirl7481 / SydneyAlice 0

Bella Swan has a crush. A huge crush. Over the last couple of months, the young student has become a frequent visitor of the local library where he works. Edward Cullen. God-like creature and seemingly unavailable. But Bella doesn't cow down: by checking out carefully picked out books she tries to secretly tell Edward that she wants him, really really wants him...

Edward Cullen can't think straight. Because of her. Bella Swan comes to the library every day, checks out a weird combination of classics and totally overrated fiction and wears one hot outfit after the other. One day, Edward can't help himself and asks for her number. And then one thing leads to another...

What happens when two great authors come together and decide to write a story: exactly, fu**tastic reading material. cosmogirl7481 and SydneyAlice created a wonderful little fanfic that lacks any kind of angst or dramatic twists. But even though there a no heated disputes or sob-worthy moments Between the Covers is neither boring nor unexciting. Bella and Edward's hot make-out sessions make sure of that!

Between the Covers consists of 26 chapters and a total of 26,856 words. The story is rated M for lemons and foul language.

"Swan Lake" by SydneyAlice 0

Posted by Anonymous

"You have reached your destination." Yeah, well he didn't. When Edward Cullen looks out of his car window he doesn't see his parents' house in Port Angeles. Instead he parked right in front of a small but cozy looking bed and breakfast, right near a beautiful lake. As it gets darker by the minute and snow begins to fall, Edward decides to spend the night at the inn.

Inside, he is greeted by mahagony hair and chocolate brown eyes. "Swan Lake's" owner Bella Swan welcomes him warmly and makes sure that he has everything he needs. The next morning Edward can hardly see his car under the thick blanket of snow that surrounds it. He knows that he won't make it anywhere until the streets are cleared and passable again and that makes him surprisingly happy. It even gets better when Bella tells him that he will be her only guest for the next couple of days...

Swan Lake is another one of SydneyAlice's perfect stories. The writing is impeccable and the plot interesting. Both Edward and Bella have a lot of baggage to carry (which doesn't change the fact that the story is almost angst-free) and seem to be able to help each other heal. It's an incredibly sweet short story and will leave you with a happy sigh.

Swan Lake consists of 16 chapters and a total of 18,843 words. The story is rated T and thus suitable for teens who are at least 13 of age.

"Wintersong" by SydneyAlice 0

At this point I usually give you a short summary about the story. In this case, however, it is really difficult to describe what the fanfiction is about without giving away too much. I guess it is safe to say that Edward and Bella are married and have a five-year-old daughter. The story is written from Edward's point of view - it seems as if he is writing a letter to his wife... That alone probably tells you that Bella isn't with Edward at the time the story begins, and the question is, where is she? And, will she be home for christmas?

I cannot even begin to describe my feelings after I've finished this one-shot. In a nutshell: it is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Wonderful plot, beautifully written, and so heartbreaking and romantic it brought tears to my eyes! SydneyAlice's writing gets better and better and so far, this is the best I've read by her! Trust me, you wouldn't want to miss it!

Winter Song is a one shot and consists of 4,524 words. The story is rated T and thus suitable for teens over the age of 13.

Note: The fanfiction was inspired by the song with the same name. Click here to listen to the original version by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.

"Songbird" by SydneyAlice 0

Posted by Anonymous

On the night of Alice and Jasper's wedding Bella and Edward meet for the first time. When Edward hears Bella play the piano and sing a wonderful song, he knows he has to have her. The two spend a heated night together, but have to go separate ways the next day. Yet, it doesn't take long until they face each other again because Bella finds out that she is pregnant. When she informs Edward about his fatherhood he is more than shocked and at first doesn't really want to believe that the baby is his. Soon, however, Edward decides to face the truth and realizes that Bella was more to him than just a one night stand. Having a baby with her might not be that bad at all.

Songbird is a very sweet story and has a lot of daddyward in it! Because Bella learns about her pregnancy relatively early in the story, the reader experiences almost the whole pregnancy with her and Edward. From the first doctor appointments, to finding out the gender of their child, to looking for the perfect nursery, we're always there. It's great to see Edward getting used to the role of being a father and Bella becoming a protective and loving mother. Oh, and the nice lemons should be mentioned as well! ;  )

Songbird consists of 25 chapter and a total of 103,656 words. The story is rated M for mature content.

"Forget Me Not" by SydneyAlice 0

Posted by Anonymous

He wakes up in a hospital and has know idea who he is. The only thing he is sure of is his first name, Edward. The beautiful nurse at his bedside tells him that he was badly beaten and was found unconscious and without any kind of identification. She also offers him to stay at her place until he knows what happened and where he belongs. After he is released from the hospital Edward goes to stay at Bella's - the nurse, who took care of him. He meets her six-year old daughter Lily as well as Bella's father Charlie, the police officer, who is investigating his case. Slowly, Edward and his new friends start to try and unravel the mysteries surrounding his situation. After a young woman named Alice and his best friend Jasper come into the picture Edward learns about a life he would rather not like to remember.

Forget Me Not was written by the very talented SydneyAlice. Though I'm not such a big fan of her early works, the last couple of fanfictions have been nothing but amazing and interesting. This story is rather short - with a little more than 65,000 words it is only about half as long as the stories I usually read. Nevertheless, the plot is really gripping and you desperately want to know what kind of person Edward really is and whether there is even a chance for him and Bella to stay together. Well done!

Forget Me Not consists of 44 chapters and a total of 66,800 words. All characters are human. The story is rated M for mature content.
