"Bird Girl"by TheQueenWriter 0

Posted by
(banner made by Jaime)

Bella Swan was born and raised in a small town, and has never been one for relationships. Her main priority is maintaining her successful businesses with her best friend Alice, who's completely obsessed with British actor Edward Cullen. Alice can't stop talking about the handsome actor after having read online rumors about him being in the area for filming. While Alice continues this way, Bella grows increasingly irritated of hearing all about the Hollywood heartthrob. So she decides to take matters into her own hands and plans to arrange a private meeting for Alice with Edward. However, her plans turn out to be unsuccessful after Alice meets Jasper—who Alice believes is her soul mate.

For Edward Cullen, being surrounded by people who only want to be around him for his celebrity status and being set up with other actresses for promotional gain is nothing new. But he’s growing tired of the fake relationships and wants to find a deeper connection with another person, much like his parents'. Having left Los Angeles to do some filming in Forks, he meets Alice while getting coffee. He's left with the impression that she's just another star-struck girl. Though he remains polite to anyone who approaches him, his outlook changes when he meets Bella—the one girl who doesn't seem to care about who he is and isn't afraid to flip him the bird. What he didn't expect is for Bella to continuously ignore him until she does give in to her desires. After being with disrespectful men time and time again, will she be able to completely open up to Edward and take a chance on love?

I should start by saying that Bird Girl is a slow burn, though it does have a happily-ever-after. When I first started reading this story, I wasn't quite sure where TheQueenWriter was going with the plot, but I couldn't have disappointed with how things came out in the end. Bird Girl isn’t told in just Bella’s and Edward’s point of view, there are some parts told from Alice’s and Jasper’s as well. In this story, Bella is a very closed person—as she's used to being used and hurt by men—and depends emotionally on Alice's support (to an extent, of course). Having read my fair share of Actorward fics, I was pleasantly surprised to see how TheQueenWriter portrayed this Edward: a genuine and honest man that captured my heart. For some, 43 chapters may seem like a lot but they fly by. I have truly enjoyed reading Bird Girl and can include it in my list of favorite fics.
Bird Girl consists of 43 chapters and 117,622 words. It's rated M for foul language and sexual content.

"Orange Kisses and Peppermint Hearts" by SparrowNotes24 0

- I'd like a selection of chocolates that reflect all the things that made me fall madly and deeply in love with her. I have to admit that I'm no chocolate connoisseur, but she is, and she always tells me that your shop does the best.-

Bella Swan is the proud owner of Cocoa Swan, a small shop that sells self-made pralines and chocolates. One morning, a neatly written letter addressed to Bella arrives at the shop. A man asks her to help him in creating the most perfect gift for his wife for their anniversary: a box of chocolates that reflect all the things that made him fall deeply in love with her. No sender's address is given and the envelope has no stamp on it. Confused, yet touched by the romantic words she just read, Bella starts creating the most amazing pralines - always based on the letters that continue to arrive day after day. Cappuccino Swirls, Dark Orange Crisps, Chocolate Caramels, as well as a few other delectable chocolates find their way into the lavender-cream box of Cocoa Swan, waiting to be delivered. Once the time comes and Bella finally stands before the wonderful man whose love for his wife was almost oozing out of each letter he wrote, she drops the delicate box to the ground. Could it really be?

Wow, this must be one of the most romantic stories, I've ever read! Seriously! This Edward will melt your heart with his words and Bella's memories of him are nothing short of adorable and swoon-worthy! Originally written as a birthday present for the lovely MagTwi78, SparrowNotes24 has really outdone herself with this one-short; one that I'd really like to see expanded into a multi-chapter story! Though the exact time the story is set in is never mentioned, based on Bella and Rose's clothes, one can assume that the O/S takes place in the late 1960s/early 1970s. The fanfic is written from Bella's POV, a young woman who is a lovely and talented young chocolate connoisseur and who is missing her boyfriend like nothing else! Read this O/S right now, it will put the biggest smile on your face!

Orange Kisses and Peppermint Hearts is a One-Shot consisting of 10,303 words. The story is rated T.

"Superheroes and Second Chances" by kr2009 & anhanninen 0

(banner made by Jaime)

Edward moved across the country, leaving his High School sweetheart Bella and all the memories they'd made behind. He tried to start over and gave love a second chance, but things didn't turn out the way he wanted. Now, years later, he returns home with his three-year-old son Aiden to, once again, start fresh. After settling in his old home and spending an afternoon at the park with Aiden, they make a pit stop at a bakery. It is there that he finds what he left behind and what could still be his perfect future. A second chance and a couple of superheroes costumes will be the perfect ingredients to get back everything he once let go.

This one-shot was an entry from the The Happily Ever After Twific Contest and was picked by host MagTwi78's as her favorite story. The first thing we thought when we read this one-shot was, “Damn, we want a Super-Daddyward like that!” Edward is sweet, flawed, yet still plain perfect. He is a young father who moves from New York back to his childhood hometown of Forks, Washington to give himself and his son, Aiden, a fresh start and hopefully a second chance at happiness. What Edward never expected was to find his old sweetheart there and all those feelings he thought were long gone. Yet as soon as he sets eyes on Bella, everything he ever felt for her comes rushing back. Bella has grown up and is taking care of her grandmother’s old bakery, now a coffee shop, Edward is smitten all over again. Superheroes and Second Chances is a sweet Daddyward story, told from Edward’s point of view. We really encourage everyone to read this one-shot and leave a review. You won’t regret meeting this Daddyward! ;)

Superheroes and Second Chances is a one-shot and consists of 14,238 words. This story is rated M for adult language and situations.

"Run to You" by ericastwilight 0

(banner made by Jaime)

One of Bella's daily routines is to jog in the park. With the music blaring from her ipod and a taser waiting for those getting too close, she enjoys the little green Heaven right in front of her door - a welcomed change from the busy and loud city. One day, Bella's eyes descry a young man, dressed in expensive but good looking running shorts and a t-shirt, jogging her way. His black beanie hides too much of his face and prevents Bella from getting a good look at him, yet when he a passes her nonchalantly she can clearly see his brilliant green eyes, framed by long dark lashes. Mesmerized, she starts racing him, with the result of the handsome young man losing by a margin. They sort of agree to meet again the next day which is when Bella finds out his name - Edward - and both of them realize that this might turn into more than just a mere aquaintance...

It turns out that Edward also lives in the same building as Bella and what she doesn't know is that she is the reason for his newly acquired running clothes. You see, when he saw her in the park one day, making her rounds and talking to old Mrs. Cope, he was immediately intrigued and decided to approach her. However, now that Edward gets to know Bella a bit better, he notices the walls she has build around her over the months. After her former fiancé and friend betrayed her in the worst possible way, the young woman is afraid to let anyone into her heart. So she asks Edward to be friends - for now - though she knows that she wants so much more...

ericastwilight has this wonderful ability to come up with short, yet captivating stories that put Edward and Bella in the most interesting of roles, circumstances, and dynamics. In Run to You, our lovely couple meets while jogging, unique yet incredibly sweet. Edward knows what he wants - Bella - but is very patient and understanding when she asks him to take things slow. He listens to her story and talks about his disastrous last relationship with her. The two grow close very quickly, yet not in an unrealistic way. The story is told from a third-person perspective, which allows the reader to get a good insight into both characters' heads and motivations. The lemons towards the end of the fanfic as well as the (too) short epilogue are wonderfully written. If you are a fan of ericastwilight's works, you cannot miss out on this little gem!

Run to You consists of 10 chapters and a total of 21,184 words. The story is rated M for description of sexual activities and foul language.

"Mise-en-Place" by callmepagliacci 0

(banner made by Bethany)

Edward Cullen is a famous and upcoming actor, who takes pride in his success. Though there were serious reasons behind his choice of pursuing an acting career, he enjoys it nonetheless. And by enjoying, I mean living the elite life of a typical rich actor: he likes spending his money on whatever he wishes and, most of all, entertains himself by having a new pretty actress on arm every week. However, in spite of having women willingly falling to his feet, Edward cannot seem to find the right one, or so he thinks. There is a particular beautiful lady in his life, who has stood by him through thick and thin: his personal chef and friend Bella Swan. Bella has worked for Edward for years and has developed feelings for him that just won't go away - worse even, these feelings are not reciprocated by Edward. Bella tries everything in her power to suppress the emotions she harbors for her boss in the hopes of getting her heart broken. She loses herself in creating a wide variety of delicious dishes for Edward and uses them as a way to pour out her love for him. Meanwhile, she has to watch woman after woman entering Edward's life until finally - finally - he begins to notice her. Unfortunately, Bella doesn't know if she can trust him enough to place her heart right into his palm...

Mise-en-Place is an amazing short story; one that you will most probably finish reading in a single sitting. Although short, the fanfiction presents you with a great plot that is absolutely unique. The entire story is written from Bella's perspective but that doesn't stop the author from relaying Edward's feelings for the readers to understand. Right from the second chapter, we know that Bella is the only one that knows the real Edward, the one that is caring and sweet, not the one that is the famous actor. Although Edward is by no means letting the fame he is surrounded with get to his head, he has a very unique way of looking at things, one that makes him a very particular character.
This story will have you hooked from chapter one! In fact, I think this story is one of the most attention grabbing I have ever come across; it opens with a dialogue that, right then and there, has the reader hooked. I was hesitant to read this story at first, since it was pretty short, but I must say that I absolutely haven't regretted it! The best part about the fanfiction is that the author includes a small recipe at the beginning of each chapter, and it's most definitely accurate! So you cooking fans out there will also get fourteen different and professional dishes that you can make and indulge in :). This is a perfect fic to read if you are looking for something that has close to no angst and steals your heart away at the same time! Do give it a try!

Mise-en-Place contains 14 chapters and a total of 29,170 words. The story is rated M for language and sexual references.

"A Talionic Force" by LovinRob 0

(banner made by Prachi)

Detective Edward Masen is superb at his job; he has everything it takes to be a successful secret agent: a certain hunch, the good looks that get him everywhere and anything, the power of deduction, as well as the ability to keep under the radar. Preferring to work alone rather than with a partner, Edward manages to solve even the most complicated mysteries and crimes. Yet behind all the success and satisfaction of doing good, the young police officer is thoroughly haunted by past. Each and every night, nightmares disturb his sleep as Edward is unable to get over the loss of family. They all died in a tragic accident - no, scratch that, murder - and have possessed Edward's every thought ever since. Always wanting to get into the FBI, he had worked hard to become a police officer at the young age of twenty-two. But after the terrifying events involving his family, Edward immediately diverted his educational tracks and became a detective, investigating the crime that took his loved ones from him. To alleviate the stress he is under, the young detective loses himself in meaningless one nights stand - that is, until one Bella Swan comes along...

Bella Swan - a top-notch chef - works at a restaurant that is not quite up to her level. With her amazing cooking skills, the place she currently works at is not paying her as well as it should. So when a certain Laurent comes up to her and offers her a position at his five star restaurant, Bella does not hesitate and accepts his offer. The restaurant turns out to be wonderful: Bella's new job in the kitchen is fantastic and the salary is great - nothing to complain about. But after a few days at her new work place, the young woman realizes that her boss might be involved in some illegal business. With the help of her best friend Alice's boyfriend Jasper, who is a cop, she tries to put the pieces together, but to no avail. Just when she starts telling herself that she might be imagining things, Bella stumbles upon further proof that fishy things are going on at the restaurant. In the midst of all this, she meets Edward, who happenes to have strolled by. The chemistry between them is shockingly strong, and the two of them end up spending a night with each other at Edward's place - which in turn stirrs feelings within Edward that he has never felt before. But will a gun in Edward's jacket make Bella think that he too is one of the criminals out to get her? And what will happen when Edward finds out that people Bella knows are involved in the murder of his family?

A Talionic Force  is a really good story that was completed just a little over a year ago and I must say that it has gained quite a bit of popularity in such a short amount of time! I think this fanfiction is definitely one of those that should be read no matter what. Agentward is so handsome and let's admit it, with his green eyes and bronze hair who wouldn't love this sexy detective? To top it off, his traumatic past really adds to the depth in his character and the readers will surely feel their hearts reaching out to him. The story has an interesting story line which will make you want to keep reading until you finally reach the end. Bella, too, goes through a great character development and is presented as a more than adept chef. The author is very thorough in describing her dishes and in some instances, I couldn't help but feel my mouth water at the tempting food descriptions! You will experience a little bit of everything in this fanfic, from sweet-loving romance to an action-packed climax. I highly recommend this story (written from both Edward's and Bella's POV) to everyone - it is so worth the read!!!

A Talionic Force consists of 29 chapters and a total of 134,822 words. The story is rated M for language, some crime, and sexual activities.

"Tapas at Twilight" by Melolabel 0

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5015969/

After another one of her boss' escapades, Bella Swan decides that enough is enough and finally quits her job as a sous-chef in the esteemed French restaurant 'Le Provencale'. She decides to use this unexpected opportunity and try to make her own mark in the world. Together with her friends and colleagues Alice and Jasper, Bella decides to open her very own restaurant and even manages to find a promising property for her future business. Admittedly, the estate is in dire need of some restoration and dusting but the fact that it also includes a small yet tiny apartment on the first floor - perfect for Bella and her 10-year-old daughter Renesmee - makes it an offer she just can't resist. Yet the fact remains that some things definitely need to be repaired by a professional and so Bella hires a handyman to take care of that. She definitely didn't expect to meet a handsome and unbelievably sexy hunk of a man, who seems to have an instant connection with her daughter...

Edward Cullen was the golden boy among the residents at the Chicago hospital, yet one fatal mistake makes him leave his career as a doctor behind and try to find his luck in craftsmanship. He becomes a very skilled handyman and invests some of his money in an old apartment building. For years, different chefs have rented the ground floor and opened up their businesses there but non was good enough to stay for more than a few months. So it is a pleasant surprise for Edward when he is called to his own building by his new tenant. He feels immediately drawn to the beautiful brunette welcoming him and decides to keep his true 'identity' hidden until they know each other well enough. Edward fears that by introducing himself as her landlord, neighbor (he lives one floor above Bella), and handyman, he might influence his relationship with the pretty chef before it has even begun. All he wants is getting to know her in the most unbiased way possible. Too bad that Bella asked her mother's best friend Esme, a.k.a. Edward's mom, to do the interior design, and that Nessie desperately wants to know who the great piano player is, who lives in the building...

Tapas at Twilight has its pros and cons; let's start with the pros: you will hardly find any kind of angst in this story. Yes, Edward and Bella have somewhat of a rough start but once all the misunderstandings are out of the way, they are just incredibly cute together. Edward's relationship with Nessie is wonderfully written, as is his slight disdain for Jacob, who is more than interested in the little girl. With regards to the cons, let me just say that the story is a bit too long. Though many passages might function as giving away a bit about the characters' backstory and characteristics, they are not absolutely necessary to understand the plot of the fanfiction and tend to not be very interesting for the reader. It takes a comparatively long while until Edward and Bella even meet for the first time. Secondly, this story is T rated, which means no lemons whatsoever. Bella believes in no sex before marriage and so poor Edward has to go through some hard times (no pun intended). And when they have finally tied the knot, the author only hints at their passionate night together but never describes it. So if you are a fan of graphic lemons, this story might not be it for you, but if you are looking for nice fluff, cute Daddyward, and some charming supporting characters, and an unsuspected twist, you should definitely give Tapas at Twilight a chance, a story written from both Bella and Edward's POV.

Tapas at Twilight consists of 126,256 words and 31 chapters. The story is rated T for foul language.

"The Other Side of the Fence" by Edward's Eternal 0

Posted by

Anthony Masen has been living alone and on autopilot for the past few uneventful years. His days usually consist of working in his department's IT unit and coming home to an empty house. Like any other bachelor, he neglects his yard and forgets to restock his fridge with anything other than beer. One day, while sitting out in his backyard with a cold one, the most mouthwatering scent fills his nose. Turns out, he's smelling his new neighbor's char grilled dinner. With a groan that catches the attention of one Ms. Bella Swan--whom he later dubs Chefgirl--Anthony unintentionally ends up becoming Bella's "stray cat" she shares her delicious cooking with at night. Soon a friendship is formed and blooms into something neither one could have ever anticipated.

Yet each neighbor shares a very daunting past that constantly haunts them. It's because of their histories that they now live alone and are unable to connect with others on an intimate level. That is, until they meet and find a kindred spirit in each other. But a past best left hidden always finds a way to the light, no matter how far they run. Soon Anthony finds himself wrapped up in Bella's world in a way that could possibly interfere with his own secrets.

Written in Edward's POV with a few Bella POVs, the story is a very good read for when you're in the mood for something with a little angst, a little fluff, and some drama. The relationship between the two main characters is the kind that makes you laugh, cry, and smile like a fool. I really enjoyed this fic and although I expected something a little different I was still sucked right in until the last word. I usually stray away from fics written in mostly Edward's POV, but Edward's Eternal writes Edward in a way that only few authors can. He's a guys guy without overdoing it, he's emotional without coming across as a sissy, and he loves like a real man should!

The Other Side of the Fence consists of 134,132 words and 37 chapters. This fic is rated MA for lemons and adult content.

"All the Presidents Men" by Shahula 0

Posted by Anonymous

In the rare moments when Presiden Cullen allows himself to take a breath and think about the last couple of years, the only things he finds are pain, sorrow, and uncertainty. Because four years ago, his wife Bella never returned from a business trip to Arizona. The mother of his beautiful little daughter Beth spend some time raising money for her husband's campaign but disappeared on her way to the airport. Just like that. No trace of a body, no evidence for a crime

Once elected into office, Edward creates a special task force that is supposed to investigate Bella's case. And finally, after having almost lost hope, the President's head of security, Emmett McCarthy, informs him that his wife had been found - in Kodiak, Alaska.
Unfortunately though, the First Lady, who is now blond and has a slight tan, has no recollections of her past with Edward. As Charlotte Byrd she started a new life, works in a bookshop and owns a small bakery. And one day, her life is once again turned upside down when taken by the CIA to meet the President of the United States.

All the President's Men is a wonderful piece of fiction by the talented Shahula. I love me some Presidentward! Wohoo, our Edward is such a sweet and loving father and husband it almost hurts to read it. Even though his wife is not the same woman he met, he falls for her nonetheless. Of course, these two are soul mates, right?
The story's chapters are relatively short and always include a little (and usually freaking cute) snippet of the past. This way, the reader easily manages to get an impression of both the "old" and the "new" Bella and can understand that it hurts Edward to know that she can't remember any of it.

All the President's Men consists of 30 chapters and a total of 61,617 words. The story is rated T and thus suitable for readers age 15 and older.

"Confidential" by wandb 0

Posted by Anonymous

When young and aspiring chef Bella Swan realizes that she is more than unhappy with her current life in New York she decides that it's time for some changes. She moves to Napa Valley and opens her own first class restaurant, Confidential. Along with the help of her sous-chef Alice and sommelier Rosalie, Bella works hard and tries to make a name for herself. When she meets cold and reclusive winery owner Edward Cullen, however, she is more than distracted.

Edward seems to absolutely hate Bella. He hardly ever speaks to her, looks at her with coldness in his eyes, and is convinced she only wants to be part of the new who-is-who in Napa Valley. Though Bella is hurt by Edward's words (and immensely angry) she can't keep him out of her head. Every night she is haunted by dreams of green eyes and a bronze mop of hair. Too bad, that Bella has a boyfriend waiting at home and Edward is seen with a new supermodel like woman at his side almost every day...

Whenever I stumble upon a story in which Bella is a chef I'm both intrigued and skeptical at the same time. So far, I have found only a few good fanfics that portray the life of a first class chef convincingly. In Confidential Bella and Edward are both experts in their respective fields and that is shown throughout the whole story. Whether Edward shows Bella around his wine cellar or Bella prepares a dinner for the Cullen family everything seems authentic without being too much. Additionally, Edward's character is very mysterious. It is obvious that Bella is on his mind, yet he seems to avoid her at the same time. Only step by step wandb reveals Edward's past and the reasons for his unusual and cold behavior. It's an amazing story that I read in two sittings because I just couldn't put it away!

Confidential consists of 29 chapters and a total of 115,924 words. The story was rated M for mature content.
