When you look at the many popular images of Edward Cullen, you can clearly recognize the devastatingly handsome A-list movie star who has an outstanding reputation for immersing himself into the characters he portrays. He has just completed the fifth installment of a highly successful series called “Shadow Mission” where he plays the lead role of Special Agent, James Goodall. The only problem is, he doesn’t always come out of character when he leaves the set. This personality shift apparently happens as a defense mechanism triggered by confrontation or stress in his life and seems to have started after an unresolved tragedy that happened five years ago which resulted in the death of his former bodyguard, Charlie Swan. In addition to his mental instability, he can’t remember anything from before that time, he hears voices in his head, has nightmares and has his current bodyguard, Emmett McCarty, at wits end to keep him safe and protected; especially when he slips into other personalities. What exactly happened years ago when Charlie was shot that left him so traumatized? Why was there no resolution to the investigation? Why can’t Emmett find any records of Edward’s life before that time?

Bella Swan was his closest friend when Edward was a beginning actor and her dad was his bodyguard. They did many things together on a daily basis and over the years, even though she was a little too young to be in a relationship with him, they both harbored feelings of more than friendship that they never acted on. She had hopes that one day it could all work out, but suddenly, after Charlie’s tragic and mysterious death, Edward cut all ties with her. He did not even attend Charlie’s funeral or send any condolences or respond to any calls. She was blocked and denied at every attempt to contact him by Edward’s agent, Tanya Denali, and after repeated attempts, she finally decided she had had enough. It had been five years and she wanted some answers. After being turned away at the gate to Edward’s mansion, she scaled the fence, fell out of the tree, was promptly apprehended by security, and she still demanded to see Edward! What will happen? Will she ever get to see Edward and get answers? Will he remember her?

This is a spectacular fanfiction! You will be immediately pulled in to Shadow Mission by the brilliant writing and sequencing of maxigrumpling, but get this - the plot and story-line are from Mr. maxigrumpling! How cool of a collaboration is that? The author also uses a clever ploy of successfully writing this in multiple first person POVs, which gives you a feeling of being omnipresent, like you are viewing changing scenes in a movie and can see action happening through the eyes of different people; one of those being the most impressive Emmett characters you will have ever met. Shadow Mission will get your adrenaline pumping as it is a fast-paced, action-packed mystery full of intrigue and conspiracy that will appeal to you on a wide range of emotions. On top of the danger and suspense, there is comfort, humor and at the heart of it is of course, the truly inspiring and healing joy of rediscovering a lost love. Since Edward “Tonio” Cullen is the oldest of nine, he carries the weight and responsibilities of being a firstborn on his shoulders. The responsibilities that he holds towards his family have been instilled within him early on, giving him the insight of a grown man in an almost fourteen year old’s body. His personality is an interesting cross between his hard-working/ready-to-fight-for-family Irish father and his fiery, passionate Italian mother. He contemplates that he might be handsome; his 'granma' says it's common knowledge and his dad says, "he won't break a mirror." And although he is accustomed to working long, hard hours on the family farm, often from before sunrise until after sunset, he sometimes wonders what life could be for him beyond just the farm and his duties. Little does he know how soon he will come to find that out...

Everything is as it should be in his world until one day when a sleek black car passes him, his brothers and sisters on the dirt road as they are walking the mile to school, bringing the new sheriff to town to drop off his daughter and turning Tonio's life completely upside down. This new girl is dressed in a crisp new dress and shoes with ribbons in her hair - the prettiest thing he has ever seen. The teacher starts to introduce her as “Isa-”, but her father quickly corrects her saying, “Her name is Sobe.” Not only is Sobe Swan sweet, pretty and smart, but apparently also a harbinger of all kinds of trouble. Trouble not only for a smitten young Tonio’s heart, but a host of other situations, some of which she keeps deeply hidden. Why is her father giving her a different name? What kind of adventures will these two young people experience and what obstacles will they encounter before they can be together?

Deep in the Heart of Me is of course, our beloved counselor’s latest addicting gem in the crown of her many fanfiction accomplishments. My words cannot adequately praise her unique ability to so completely and vividly immerse you into the mindset of her characters that transport you to another place and time; this time through the riveting point of view of young Tonio Cullen! counselor’s superior mastery of words will evoke the rawest of emotions from you, from total disbelief of what is happening, nail-biting suspense of what will happen, complete angst and rage against powers that be, and of course, swooning over the yearning and adoration Tonio has for his beloved Sobe and his determination to let nothing or no one keep them from being together. This coming of age journey is of epic proportions, spanning several years while his character matures and evolves from being reckless and hard-headed to someone with vision and purpose; enduring and surviving many adventures, twists, turns, trials and tribulations on his way to becoming the man he is destined to be, with the woman he is destined to be with. We start with Bella, a somewhat reluctant, yet kick­ass survivor in the present day; but through well­placed flashbacks we can piece together what has happened in the previous weeks and months. A deadly virus had spread and quickly killed a majority of people and animals in her town. After this virus reached pandemic levels, Bella one by one buried her loved ones in the backyard, including at the end, her beloved twin sister. She is clueless regarding the whereabouts of her parents as well, Renee having left her family when she was just ten, and Charlie yet to come back from work days ago. Deciding that there is nothing and no one else left for her except for the rotting scent of decaying bodies, she packs some food along with survival supplies and leaves. After several harrowing adventures of trying to find a place, she wakes up on the side of a cliff, not remembering how she got there, and befriends a German shepherd - whom she names Grace - lying nearby. She spots a village at the bottom of the cliff, which seems unusually vacant, and seeks refuge there temporarily along with Grace in order to catch some food supplies. But when she wakes up again after a full stomach, she is unable to find traces of the food she and Grace ate not long ago. In fact, Grace herself seems to be missing... 

As she runs outside calling for Grace, she collides with a dark, dangerous, arrogant, and militant type man who is really angry. Meet Edward, aka "Max". He orders her to leave upon their first meeting, but when he won't tell her why, she refuses to comply. She discretely observes the tattoos running up his arms and his well-muscled body as he regards her with anger and indifference. She wonders what mysteries he is hiding behind those flashing sea green eyes. Just when she couldn't be more confused, he approached her in the middle of the night and orders her to stay "quiet and low" while something terrifying happens outside. The following day, "Max" suddenly leaves without giving her further information except that he would be back at some point. What Bella does in the meantime is nothing short of amazing. Does he come back? What is going on - is there some kind of conspiracy? Are there others? And what exactly is she developing for this mysterious man?

As many fics as I read through, it is truly a joy to discover a pure gem. A Measure of Grace is brilliantly written, both in vivid imagery that makes you feel through your mind's eye that you are right there, front row, watching all the mystery and intrigue unfold like it's on a big screen, and it has a plot-line that is unique and extraordinary. The pacing is aggressive, keeping you on the edge of your seat, and it will keep you hitting next to find out wth is going on. The story is a work in progress but Saritadreaming updates every other Tuesday. Be sure to check out this nail-biting fic! 

A Measure of Grace has 21 chapters so far with 76,520 words. It is rated M for violence, language, and sexual situations.

When sassy nerd meets confident player, sparks will fly. The question is, will these sparks make things more interesting, or simply leave them both burnt and hurting? At Mason University, anything is possible. Bella Swan, still recovering from a turbulent past, refuses to become the local playboy’s latest plaything. Edward Cullen, with demons of his own, doesn’t understand why he can’t get the snarky brunette out of his mind. Thus, ensues a game of cat and mouse that leaves both doubting everything they knew. Can an attraction as great as there’s really be denied?

Unsure of herself to the point where it impedes her ability to live and trust normally, Bella knows that the last thing she needs, is someone as unpredictable as Edward Cullen in her life. She just can’t understand why his antics and his crooked grin have her coming back. Bella desperately wants to know why she misses their interactions when she’s not with him. She wishes he would tell her why he spends so much of his time chasing her when all she sees herself as, is flawed. Will the charming player be able to win her trust? Or will he just be the last straw on her path to self-destruction?

How To Tame A Player has me completely hooked. I can’t recommend this story enough. The interactions between Edward and Bella aren’t just interesting, they’re endearing. Bella knows just how to handle herself against ‘the big, bad player’ and Edward just seems to want to spend time with her and her sarcasm. Though their personalities are miles apart, something about the two of them together just seems to fit. They both have troubled pasts, adding a perfect amount of angst to sink your teeth into. The writing is superb, the dialogue excellent, and the plot intriguing. On top of that, it has consistent updates on Wednesdays and Saturdays. All in all, this is a story that definitely deserves to be read and reviewed. I really can’t describe properly just how much this story makes my Wednesdays and Saturdays. A DEFINITE MUST-READ!

So far, How To Tame A Player consists of 26 chapters and 60,447 words. It is rated M for language and (future) sexy times.

A few months ago, Edward Cullen's life changed drastically. The days that were filled with drinking himself into oblivion, wasting both his talents and future, were immediately over when he is told that his brother Jasper and lovely sister-in-law Alice had died in a car accident. A drunk driver had hit their car full force and killed them both in an instant. As neither Alice nor Jasper had good relationships with their respective parents, they decided a long time ago that, should something happen to them, they would want Edward to take care of their daughter Melody. So within 24 hours, Edward had to sober up and become the sole guardian of his 12-year-old niece. He started attending AA meetings and found a job as a construction worker with S&D. Every day, he struggles not only with his alcohol addiction but also with his self-reproaches and his desire of being a good father-figure for Mel. But raising a teenage girl is everything but easy, especially as a man...

Needless to say, Edward is less than thrilled when Mel lets him in on her plans to take dancing lessons. Baila's School of Dance is where the young girl wants to have her lessons and she somewhat convinces her uncle to at least check the place out. Once there, Edward meets Bella, owner of the dance school and the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. With her honey-colored skin and dark, chocolate-brown eyes, the latina really does a number on him. It doesn't help that she is also incredibly nice, an astounding dancer, and someone Mel seems to look up to. So even though he cannot really afford it, Edward signs his niece up for dancing lessons. Unfortunately, her classes coincide with his AA meetings resulting in Mel hanging around the dance school long after the lesson is over. After Bella confronts the handsome hunk with his tardiness she offers to help him out by taking Mel to her place and looking after her until her sexy uncle is done with whatever it is he's doing. She likes the feisty teenager and it also doesn't hurt that this means she'd see Edward a lot more often than before...

It's a fu**ing pattyrose story, what more is there to say? Spin & Sway takes you on a wonderful yet slightly bumpy ride and introduces you to BlueCollward, Dancerella, and lots of love and passion on the way. This is a fanfiction in which both Edward and Bella carry a lot of baggage on their shoulders and while the reader knows right away what Edward's problems are, Bella's secret is only revealed step by step. The fact that both of them know about the hardship that life can throw at you as well as their mutual love for Mel eventually allows the two to establish intense yet tender feelings for each other. They begin helping each other through each and every problem, even though Edward has more difficulties letting his demons go than Bella. That said, the story is written from both characters' point of view without including too many repetitions. pattyrose's characters as well as the plot in Spin & Sway are immensely realistic and draw you in from the very first chapter. It is one of those fanfics that you impatiently for to update and you drop everything the moment it does. Read this, it will blow you away!

So far, Spin & Sway consists of 34 chapters and 165,494 words. For now, the story is rated M for lemons, foul language, and angst.

A new King takes the throne in the shadow of his ruthless predecessor. The frustration of the people is the frustration of the king. Upon the advice of his council, Edward makes a trip to Devonshire, a part of the kingdom where the people are highly impoverished and opinionated. Upon arriving, the first thing the King sees is Isabella Swan, the daughter of the duke, riding barefoot on her horse. He soon realizes that the wild, young, and soon-to-be-betrothed Isabella is every bit as headstrong and stubborn as the rest of her people, yet still she stirs feelings within him that he never thought possible. The worst part though is that she doesn’t even try. Not used to having to work for a lady’s affections, he finds himself learning and experiencing new things just to please her. Will his wooing make her see how truly enamored he is with her? Is the King even supposed to woo? 

Isabella Swan doesn’t want to admit just how much the King gets to her. She knows that the handsome man has already wormed his way into her heart but unlike other women, the thought of becoming Queen frightens her to no end. She can think of no greater prison than having to conform to court’s beliefs of what is right and wrong. She’s perfectly content caring for the poor, yet no less valuable people of Devonshire. But Edward knows just how to get under her skin. His sweet words and careful seduction win her heart before she knows it. He knows of her to-be-fiancé and her obligations back home, but he can’t bring himself to part with this brazen, disarming woman. He may have been the King of the country, but she was the Queen of his heart. Will he have to defy his Queen?

I have to be honest, this story is not without its flaws. There are several grammatical and spelling issues that can easily distract you from the plot. However, this is work that could be overseen by a beta and the storyline itself, as well as the characters, are very well-developed. It’s a pleasure to read their interactions and both of the characters are really endearing. I think it would be a mistake to write off this story simply because of minor errors. Though it’s only eleven chapters in, it’s proving to be a very promising read and RuthlesslyYours is doing a fantastic job by and large. Don’t miss out on watching this story grow!

After yet another breakup, Bella Swan comes up with a theory to explain her tragic love life. And what would that theory be? Well, it all to do with her hymen. See, all of her previous boyfriends had found someone else to 'tend to their needs' - something Bella found herself unwilling to do. Because the young woman is still a virgin and actually didn't mean to change that in the very near future. But desperate times demand desperate means and so Bella vocalizes her dilemma to her best friend and roommate Edward Cullen. She even goes a step further and wants Edward to "solve" her problem. Bella wants him to be her "Hymen-Breaker"!

“Hell No!” is Edward Cullen's answer but after a little convincing here and there and due to the fact that the mere thought of Bella asking another man to help her out makes him furious, he agrees. And while the two start teaching each other lessons along the way, Edward begins to develop feelings for his house mate, or rather, he suddenly realizes that he had always felt more for Bella than just friendship. But when it's time to let her know about his revelation, well, let's just say he doesn't have the best of luck...

Funny and cheesy! That's exactly how to describe this hilarious story by SwanCullen12. You'll be constantly dying of laughter as Bella pretty much rivals every stand-up comedian with her hilarious thoughts, her inability to swear and the crazy conversations she leads with her vagina. Our dear Edward is a former NFL player, who now owns a local bar. He's very stubborn and totally oblivious to his feelings towards our lovable Bella. If you're in need for some humorous and corny romance, written completely from Bella's POV, Bella's Hymen Theory is a must-read for you!
