Newly single Isabella Swan moves to Scotland from Chicago to assist with an on-going restoration and preservation project of the National Museum of Scotland's library. Isabella may not be the epitome of grace but, when she stumbles on the ancient steps of the city of Edinburgh, her world is knocked off its axis by a handsome green-eyed stranger. Edward MacCullen, enchanted by the beautiful brunette, offers to take her under his wing. Neither of them are prepared for just how strong their attraction is. As they begin to explore a Dom/Sub sexual relationship, there's something deep within them that connects outside of sex. Every relationship has its obstacles, but will they be able to find a middle ground for their vanilla relationship?
I should probably start by saying that this is a very short story. I rarely, if ever, read drabbles, as I tend to prefer longer fanfics. However, I have a soft spot for Scottishward, and Under The Master's Kilt is on the naughtier side of the Twilight Fandom, filled with steamy lemons. There aren't many, if any, grammatical errors, though you will find that Edward speaks in a very old-fashioned way.The entire fic is told in Bella's perspective, and let me tell you, she's definitely not the only one getting dazzled by Edward's Scottish accent! One minor thing that did bother me was that the first fifty chapters were very much a drabble, but the last three were longer in comparison; but ultimately, the plot of the story was simply fantastic. Besides the chapter length, it's a swoon-worthy story. Every time I imagine how Edward speaks in this story with that heavy accent... I'm sure I won't be the only one that melts into a puddle!! Definitely worth the read!
Under The Master's Kilt consists of 53 chapters and 20,476 words. It's rated M for sexual content, BDSM scenarios, and a naughty Scottishward.
