Ever since her parents died under tragic circumstances, her brother Jasper is all the family Bella Swan has left. He raised her under the most difficult circumstances and always made sure that she was safe and had everything she needed. After years if living in Forks, the two eventually move to Chicago where Jasper gets a lucrative job offer that will allow him to put his degree in business to use. He applies for the position as manager of the night club "Hades" and is accompanied by Bella when he goes to the job interview. There, the siblings meet club owner Edward Cullen, a devastatingly handsome young man, who oozes power and menace. Bella feels immediately drawn to him. Even though she is very well aware that he might be danger personified and could provide her with the biggest heartbreak of her life, she just can't stay away from him. Like a moth pulled to a flame, the 24-year old woman is completely under Edward's spell. Being with him could mean her end but the moment her eyes meet his, there is no way out for her anymore...

Edward Cullen, née Masen, is one of the most powerful man in Chicago. He works for the Volturi syndicate and has chances of becoming the new Don. With his father putting him under his wing at an early age, Edward grew up with murder, drugs, prostitution, and violence. He shot his father's killer at the tender age of 16 and never learned what it means to love and care. When his mother Esme marries successful doctor Carlisle Cullen, Edward breaks with his family and hardly ever sees them. He doesn't care about finding a woman to share his life with, he hates children, and refuses to lose control. However, when Bella enters his office, everything Edward thinks he knows seems to slip through his fingers. Suddenly, there is someone he deeply cares about, even though he doesn't like to admit it. His "babydoll", whom he asks to become his new secretary to keep her close, quickly becomes his whole life and other women, drugs, and even his dangerous lifestyle are forgotten or at least pushed to the background. Unfortunately, the mafia member has no idea how to love, much less how to treat women, which leads to lot's of confusion and heart break. What happens when Bella demands to know what he does for a living? Will he be able to share his dark world with her without risking her life?

Like a Moth to a Flame stars one of the most popular "-wards" in Twilight fanfictions: Mobward. Edward Cullen is all we want in a badass (soon-to-be) mafia boss: he is lethal, ruthless, has a more than colorful language, and uses drugs and whores. He is danger and power personified and incredibly sexy. But he is also an emotional cripple and has difficulties being in a normal relationship with Bella. He is controlling, jealous, and often very rude. Some things he says to his babydoll when he has another one of his fits of rage are really hurtful. But he is also willing to learn and thanks to Bella's wit, her stubbornness and talent to cook great meals, she quickly has him wrapped around her little finger. These two are meant to be with each other! No matter how much they try telling themselves otherwise, the immense pull they feel toward another, makes them always stay close. It's not up to Bella and Edward anymore if they want to be with each other or not - something inside of them, something they cannot control forces them to gravitate around each other. Even if it could mean their doom. They are drawn to each other, emotionally as well as sexually. Some schmexy lemons are waiting for you; they are so hot, they will make you fan yourselves! If you're in need of a handsome and dangerous Edward, obsessive love, great lemons, and a good amount of angst, Like a Moth to a Flame is definitely it for you! The whole story is written from both Edward's and Bella's POV.

Like a Moth to a Flame consists of 41 chapters (incl 6 outtakes) and an estimated 200,000 words. The story is rated MA for lemons, violence, and profanities.  A sequel is currently being published, La Famiglia.
