"Reunion" by KeepersOfTheNaughtySparkle

Posted by Anonymous

Edward Cullen was a social outcast and avoided by most of his class mates. He wore thick glasses, had slightly unclean skin, and was rather on the lean side than muscular. With his nose always in the books, many students deem him to be an uncool nerd. Yet when Bella Swan moves to Forks and gets into Edward's biology class things start to change. The two become close friends and both know that they would actually love to be more than that. But because they are too insecure and afraid to lose the best friend they ever had, neither Edward nor Bella confesses their feelings. So when they graduate in 1999 they part ways with broken heart and full of regrets.

But ten years later, Edward is determined to make up for lost opportunities. The past decade has done him well as he substituted his glasses for contacts, his skin cleared, and he gained muscles in all the right places. Over time, the nerd had slowly turned into an absolute heart-throb. A heart-throb, who wants nothing more than to let his girl know what he feels. So at the 2009 Forks High School Reunion he asks Bella for a dance and it doesn't take long before they leave and spend a passionate night together. But what happens on the next day when Edward realizes he is in love with Bella but doesn't know if she feels the same? How could they make a relationship work if both of them live in opposite parts of the country? Would they even want to make it work?

KeepersOfTheNaughtySparkle a.k.a. pkitten21 and NaughtySparkle don't beat around the bush and waste almost no time in getting Edward and Bella to spend some time together. Through flashbacks the reader learns right from the beginning that the two have always felt more than just friendship for the other but were too much of a coward to act accordingly. That insecurity doesn't end once our lovely couple ends up having sex together as both fear that it might only have been a one-time-thing for the other. And once they are finally on the same page, the problem remains that they live and work in different cities... The story is written from both Edward's and Bella's POV, sometimes causing slight repetitions. I know that there are many stories with similiar plots out there, but believe me when I tell you that not many are even nearly as good as this one!

Reunion consists of 30 chapters and 189,747 words. The story is rated M for lemons and foul language.
