As a writer for the magazine "Woman Today" Bella Swan finds herself working on an article about the shadowing experience of three women, who traveled with the the Colorado ice hockey team for ten months. Unfortunately, Bella has to accompany those women in order to write a genuine article. She is less than thrilled but gives the whole thing a chance for the sake of her career. So the young woman leaves the warmth of Florida to arrive at snow, ice, and hockey skates. As the team hopes to gain a positive image from Bella's article they try their best in making her as comfortable as possible. That includes paying for all of the accomodations and welcoming her into the family. There is the team's head coach Carlisle Cullen and his wife Esme, their daughter Alice, who's dating goalee Jasper Whitlock, son Emmett, who is engaged to Rosalie Hale, and, last but not least, son Edward, the team's superstar.
Bella and the Cullens soon become close friends. She and Edward are the only singles of the group and it doesn't take long for the hunk to fall hard for the journalist. Yet Bella doesn't want that her new family thinks she's a gold digger and only doing this to have access to fame and money. And most definitely she doesn't want to be fired by Esme (or her magazine) for exactly that reason. So she turns Edward's advances down; what she didn't expect, however, is that the young man doesn't give up that easily. How convenient that Bella's bedroom window can be seen from the apartment of Alice and Jasper... Will Edward and Bella be able to have a relationship? And what will Edward do once his ex Tanya comes back to town? Is she serious in her threats to ruin Bella?
If you ever feel in the mood for some good Sportsward, that fanfiction is definitely a must read for you! The lovely hockey men of Overtime really manage to melt the ice: Emmett will have you in stitches and Edward and Bella will have you running to the freezer to cool off. This story has humor, romance, drama (both on and off the ice), and a pinch of angst. Overall, all the great and necessary ingredients to create a wonderful Sportsward fanfic! I'm sure you'll become fans of Overtime in no time!
