Bella's been keeping a big secret from a really young age. One that could destroy everything in her family. So instead, she keeps tight lips and a fake smile on her face while the weight of her secret grows heavy on her shoulders. It is because of this secret that she is estranged from her mother and because of this secret that she makes one very bad choice that ultimately alienates her from everyone at school. Going back and forth between the past and the present Bella struggles to hang on to her own sanity. 

Rosalie is the only one who stuck around despite the rumors that slink around school and works as a buffer when she's not dealing with her own serious issues. It is one day while hanging with Rose that Bella is brought to the Cullen family cottage where Roses older brother Edward has run from his life in Seattle to stay. No one knows the real reason why Edward has shown up out of the blue and quit school to seclude himself the old cottage. But Bella sees something inside of him that reminds her of her own inner demons and the two form a friendship. One that grows into something that makes Bella force herself to face her darkest secrets in order to move forward instead of being stuck in the past. 

This story is so beautifully written that I can't even fathom writing a worthy enough review. How do I describe the serious emotions that this fic brought out in me? Bella's secret is one that could happen to anyone and watching the way she deals with it and how she allows it to fully consume her to the point of near insanity is heartbreaking. It causes her to put her trust into someone she should avoid and because of that decision it creates huge road blocks between her mind and heart when it comes to Edward. Beautiful, Edward. He is so wonderful in this fic and oh! you will fall in love with "Biter" who has a very important role in this fic! I cannot express enough how amazing this story is, it reads as a total stand alone--as in, it could have been plucked from the selves at your local Barnes and Noble under best sellers. It's written in third person but from Bella's POV. This one is going in my favorites folder for sure.
