After finding out that her father Charlie is suffering from cancer, Bella drops everything, leaves her life in Phoenix behind, and moves to Forks to take care of him. To her surprise, Charlie has already made some arrangments for his daughter with regards to a new job, car, and a place to live. Bella starts working at a bar not far from her father's house in Clallam Bay and moves into the two-bedroom apartment right above it. And even though Charlie was the one, who got Bella the job at the bar, he, along with former waitress Rosalie, make sure to warn her about the sailors that often frequent it. They would often stop by the area for some unfinished business and once that was over and done with, they'd leave right away. To build a longterm and trusting relationship with any of these men would be next to impossible and heartbreak would almost be guaranteed. However, when a certain bronze-haired man steps into the bar, the twenty-five-year old cannot help be feel utterly captivated by him...

The man introduces himself as Edward Cullen, a sailor who'd be in Clallam Bay for a few months. Though warning bells go off in Bella's head immediately, she doesn't fail to recognize the enormous chemistry between the two of them. Needless to say, Edward and Bella spend a passionate night together and even though both cannot deny that their sexual adventure was much more electrifying and meaningful than anything they've ever experienced before, they dismiss it as a one-time thing. Edward is extremely honest with Bella and makes it clear from the very beginning that being on the sea is everything to him. A serious relationship has never been something he has seriously considered before. And Bella goes along with it, at least at first. But when her wonderful sailor has to leave after four months of spending time together, the caring young woman realizes she is irrevocably in love with Edward. He won't be able to come back to her for another eight months, yet promises to do just that on her insistence. Once gone, Edward desperately tries to fu** Bella out of his system but to his utmost shock no woman really gets to him like she does. That's when the handsome sailor knows that he's thoroughly scr**ed. After eight months of separation, the two meet again and there is not doubt that they love each other. They have four more months they can spend together, emotionally and physically, but what happens when the time is up yet again? How will they be able to stay together if Edward is unwilling to agree to any kind of committment? Will they be able to solve things between them before it is too late?

If the detailed summary I gave you above does not reflect the love I have for this story, then let me make it clear: Constant Bearing, Decreasing Range is a story to die for! Sailorward is impossibly hot and the sex between Edward and Bella will have you panting! I can't put into words how much this fanfiction stole my heart from the very first chapter. There isn't a single moment where you will want to stop reading, it is that good. beegurl13's story really has it all: intensity, love, kinkyness, angst, and some painful moments as well. There will be times when you'll want to kiss Edward with an intense passion, others when you want to hug him for his fear of love and committment, and yet others when the urge to hit him on the back of his head is surprisingly strong. There are reasons why he repeatedly refuses to quit his job, and beegurl13 does a fantastic job in describing both Edward's past and his present realistically. One of Edward's best character traits, however, is his honesty. He always tells Bella the absolute truth - no matter how hurtful and bitter it is - and I think that is what keeps Bella from running away from him at times. I would definitely say that this story is not for the weak-hearted because it does involve some heavy issues. Not to mention the heart-dropping love-making the two have every night; gosh, I have never read something so intense before. If you miss out on this story, you'll definitely regret it! Go read this wonderful fanfiction and leave beegurl13 tons of love - she totally deserves it! A MUST READ!
