Bella Swan has had enough with her job at Cheney and Crowley, mostly because her boss, Mr. Cheney, is, simply put, an asshole of epic proportions, who takes pleasure in taunting and yelling at his employees. Unfortunately for Bella, she took over the position as his personal assistant and therefore receives the brunt of Mr. Pain-In-The-Ass's attitude. But now, with the encouragement of her brother Emmett and his wife Rosalie, Bella finally manages to build up the guts to throw her job in her boss's face and quit. When she is making her way home the very same day, she notices that a new neighbor has moved into the house next to hers. Though she is completely taken with his more than charming looks, she is everything but nice to him in the beginning. Because somehow, everything her neighbor Edward does results in minor catastrophes, whether he wants it or not; something that seems to drive Bella away from him. However, it doesn't take Bella long to come to her senses and realize that she might have been a bit too harsh with the poor man. As a result, she is willing to form a friendship with him and quickly finds out that her next door neighbor is actually a very sweet young guy, who has his own issues...

Days pass by and Edward and Bella keep getting closer to each other. Suddenly, news suddenly breaks out that the virus H6N2 is spreading quickly over the United States, infecting an endless number of people. As the virus is said to be extremely contagious and kills a person within four days of exposure, the two of them don't hesitate and immediately rush to their nearby grocery store to buy months worth of food and supplies. Edward and Bella stock their respective houses with everything they need to survive, only to be surprised by a strong earthquake. When the electricity shuts down, they have no choice but to camp together at Bella's house. With the winter reaching its peak and the virus still out there, they are trapped inside the house. Will the two be able to survive with the minimal necessities they have or will the virus take them down too? And what about their growing feelings for each other? Does their love have a chance under the catastrophic circumstances?

For all you fans of the Twilight fanfiction fandom out there: this story is not to be missed by any chance! kdc2239 has really outdone herself and I don't have enough words to praise how wonderful this fanfiction really is. When I read it, I couldn't help but fall for Edward's character the moment he was introduced and I'm quite sure you will too! He is simply adorable with the way he tries to fix things for Bella but somehow manages to make things even worse than before. But it's so heart-melting to read about his honest efforts and about how adamant he is on making Bella his. And when the latter finally realizes how amazing our dear Edward is, you can almost feel the love radiating throughout the rest of the story. Furthermore, the general plot of the fanfiction is of course very unique, and though I can imagine that the idea of a fatal disease as the main "villain" might keep many of you from reading this fic, I can only advise you to give it a try nonetheless. You will definitely not regret reading the story! In fact, the author has created a very realistic set-up that really adds to the story's authenticity. For two lovers to go through all this drama is far from an easy undertaking, especially when two suddenly become three... That's all I am saying folks, otherwise I will ruin a lot of surprises and the amazingness that this story contains. Please, please click on the link attached below and leave kdc2239 some love!
