Bella Swan is trapped in a loveless relationship with Jay, her boyfriend since college. Although she desperately wants to call it quits, she feels unable to leave him when he experiences a personal crisis. Jay was there for her when her father died of cancer so staying with him when he needed help was the least she could do. Yet her decision soon takes a toll on Bella: what once used to be a vibrant and creative young lady, has wilted and dulled into a withdrawn and introverted woman over time. So when her best friend from college, Alice Brandon, makes Bella her maid of honor the young woman finally has an opportunity to escape her life for a couple of days. She packs her bags and makes her way to Chicago. What she doesn't know is that, during the five days she spends at the wedding, her life is about to flip completely upside-down. At the airport, she meets Edward and instantly feels an electrical spark as they make eye contact for the very first time. Right then and there, both know they are meant to be with each other, so it isn't a surprise when fate collides the two once again - at the same wedding...

Edward Cullen lives all the way across from Bella in New York and works as a successful doctor at the high class hospital "Lenox Hill". Although it is every doctor's dream to work there and make a name for themselves, Edward doesn't really feel like he belongs there and just refrains from resigning to meet everyone's expectations about him. Well, it turns out that going off for a few days to his best friend Jasper's wedding will give him enough time to think through things. Or not. The second he notices the brown haired beauty at the airport, he cannot stop thinking about her and what they could possibly have together as a couple. But when he sees her again at the wedding and is notified by Jasper that she isn't single, he can't help but groan in protest. Finally a woman he takes a serious interest in and who also doesn't appear to want him for his money and she's taken... great! Fortunately for Edward, Bella can't seem to stay away from him either: the constant magnetism that pulls them towards each other is enough to have them give into themselves despite being well aware that Bella is in a relationship with another man. And so the two of them share their last night together, in Edward's room, thinking that it will be the last time they will ever see each other again. But as days pass by, will they realize that they are meant to be together forever and that they can't live without each other? What will happen with Bella and Jay's relationship? And will Bella and Edward be able to maintain a healthy relationship living at two corners of the world?

Once again a story written by the popular (and my most favorite) writer spanglemaker9. She has outdone herself in this wonderfully amazing story as she created such a realistic plot about two young people who are deeply in love and are willing to get past all the conflicts between them, but encounter a number of hurdles on the way. Being that they are on the opposite ends of the world and that Bella is in a relationship, albeit not willingly, when they first meet, it is very interesting to watch the two battle through their lives towards their goals. I must say that I am a very picky reader and am hardly emotionally moved by a story, but this one did it for me! I cried (sobbed even!), laughed, and fell in love with hot doctorward in the most romantic way possible. It was also great to read about the relationships between Bella, Rose, Alice and Edward, Jasper, and Emmett together. All the characters are very positive and made me realize just how beautiful it is to have such amazing friends surrounding you. So, if you are looking forward to a grammarless fanfic with an amazing plotline switching between Edward's and Bella's perspective and falling even more in love with Edward than ever before, this story is just for you! The best part: it is really very heart-touchingly realistic, without much angst, and will leave you panting with the sexy smut scenes spangly9 has written. This story truly has it all and I will doubt any of you won't like it, if not even love it immensely like me. You will find yourself wanting to read it over and over and over again!! I am surprised some people out there have not read this fic before and I strongly suggest you read it if you want to experience one of the best fics out there in the entire fandom! You will be thoroughly entertained!
