"Slapshot" by prettykittyartist (guest review by Stephanie)

After having served him a cup of coffee, Bella Swan developed a serious crush on hockey star Edward Cullen. Watching him enter the coffee joint and taking his order (a stale coffee) quickly became the highlight of her day. So when he doesn't show up for four long days in a row, Bella believes he might have simply chosen another place to give him his dosis of coffeine. The fact that she might have thought he had taken an interest in her as well, only plays a minor role in her disappointent (or so she thinks). Because, if she thinks about it rationally, her feelings for Edward weren't that strong after all. So is completely taken off guard when the young man suddenly sneaks up on her and before she knows it the two of them have a date. From now on, their lives will be full of playoffs, awkward flirting, and flighty mothers. And what happens when Edward's ex, Victoria, suddenly appears from out of nowhere? Prepare for a whole "lotta lovin"!

Prettykittyartist has written a great story; in fact, it is one of the few stories out there that realistically captures a girl's emotions. We see how Bella struggles to maintain a relationship with her best friend, her flighty mother, and her devoted boyfriend. Although the structure of sentences and dialogues in the fanfiction seem slightly T rated, the story as a whole depicts a great, realistic plot which will keep you hooked with a light heart. Join Bella as she overcomes the trouble of maintaining an intense relationship which involves Edward to travel a lot, the constant nagging of her mother, and the heartfelt, motherly figure played by Bella's boss, Rosalie. Even though Bella tends to be slightly over-dramatic in the story, the author has written other characters, especially Edward, to balance out her emotions and comfort her at most times. This drama filled romantic comedy will surely have you laugh, cry, and die with all the love stuffed into it. Furthermore, the lemons included in the story will have you sigh contently at the couple's love for one another. Romance, humor, and dramatic conflicts; what more can you ask for from a great story such as this? A story that is definitely underrated and should be given a try!

So far, Slapshot consists of 22 chapters and a total of 64,901 words. The story is rated M for sexual activities and some violent scenes.
