"If you only had a year to live what would you do? Would you go on living as if nothing had happened, trying to ignore the fact that the number of breaths you took were numbered? Or would you decide to make the most of that year? Would you do the one thing that you are scared of? Or get the courage to tell someone you love them? Could you justify wasting even a single second?"

Twenty-six year old Bella Swan has never truly lived her life to the fullest. Trapped in a life with her awkward father and self-obsessed mother, who bases her judgement on nothing but gossip, Bella never got the chance to make her own mark in the world. Always doing what is expected of her, the young woman hardly has any chance to develop and blossom. But she doesn't have any complaints as Bella is almost used to being the boring one, the one fading into the background, ever since she was in high school. Yet on one ungrateful day, when her usually bearable chest pain becomes a little too much for her to tolerate she decides to see a doctor. The latter gives her the devastating news that she suffers from heart cancer and wouldn't live longer than another year...

Well, our Bella decides to change herself up and finally live the life that she wants - completely rebelling against her parents and ignoring the people in Forks who constantly stir up rumors. And it appears as though destiny - whatever she's got left of it anyway - is on her side when she encounters her best friend from high school again, Alice Brandon. When she offers Bella to come live with her until she gets married, Bella jumps to the opportunity to escape her mundane life. She manages to find Edward during this journey too, a man she admired from afar the moment he moved to Forks. She had always imagined herself with him, even though the town's folks have geared up all sorts of tales regarding him and his life for a long time. So she decides to take a leap by befriending Edward, knowing that he, too, feels the current of attraction between them. He is the one and only person she decides to confide in, letting him know all the troubles in her life, including her now short life-span and (surprise) asks him to marry her until her last breath. But will he agree? And are the rumors made towards Edward all true? Does Bella truly have no cure and only a year to live? What will happen to Edward then?
So many questions, but so well put together by Rosybud, ultimately creating a beautiful, heartfelt story that will stir so many emotions in you! Let me assure you, first and foremost, that this story is a HEA! That being said, there will not be a character death in this story! This story isn't about losing the one you love, this story is about getting the guts to look for your love, not just in the romantic way, but also in everything else that you admire. This is an extremely realistic fanfiction that will pull at your heartstrings every step of the way. The author really thought about the plot-line well and it feels so real to read how Bella re-discovers herself in the time limit given to her. She really grabs on to the YOLO abbreviation we all know after her diagnosis; something a normal person wouldn't do but rather cry and lose themselves in despair. But Bella doesn't, in fact, she does just the opposite. She is tired of doing what everyone expects her to do, and instead, wants to live the rest of her life her own way. Her strength is only increased when our lovely Edward agrees to be with her every step of her remaining life. In this fantastic fanfiction, you will learn how to live your life to the fullest, whether you have an illness or not. You will discover love, strength, and the importance of relationships through this amazing journey of a story that will leave you breathless and wanting for more. I must say, this story is much too underrated for its fabulous writing! A MUST READ!
