Bella Swan is a college student working on a thesis for her psychology class. She finds her subject in Edward Cullen, a handsome stripper working in the night club "Fire". Bella's need to pass the course forces her to tamp down her undeniable attraction to him and ask Edward out for help. He agrees, but not without a price...

While studying Edward's unique life, Bella soon notices some very sad and shocking aspects of his job. And though she wants to save him, she's not sure how. Edward, on the other hand, uses his body purposely to distract her from uncovering too many of his demons. So between her growing feelings for the stripper and her desire to free him of all the pain he keeps hidden, Bella will eventually realize that she might have bitten off way more than she can chew...

This is not a light read and its certainly not the fic version of "Magic Mike". I found it to be very angsty, but still, pretty well written. The Red Line shines a light on the darker side of the stripping and prostitution trade. The women that Edward meets at his job make you think about how sad and devastating his situation really is. You would expect that kind of deplorable behavior from men, but the story is some kind of a wake up call that helps you to realize that women can be just as guilty. I don't recall a lot of spelling mistakes and to me the ending was a tad over the top with the drama. Nevertheless, the story line drew me in and the lemons were so f**cking hot, omg.

The Red Line consists of 40 chapters and a total of 351,671 words. The story is rated MA for lemons and angst.
