When Isabella Swan finds out that she is pregnant, she is beyond excited. Even though her boyfriend at that time doesn't want anything to do with his child and her father Charlie is less than thrilled about the pregnancy, the young woman cannot help but look forward to the arrival of the new family member. A tragic accident destroys her hopes and dreams, however. Bella is in a coma and once she wakes up about six months after the terrible events her child is gone. It isn't until four and a half years later that she learns that her little daughter was given up for adoption...
Shortly before his daughter's fifth birthday, Edward Cullen receives a shocking letter in the mail. One Ms. Isabella Swan claims to be his "little muffin" Marley's birth mother and asks about her daughter's well-being. After a maternity test proves that the woman is telling the truth, Edward decides to meet with her and get to know her a little better. Slowly but gradually, he and Isabella form a bond that neither of them had ever had before. And Marley seems to get the mother she always wanted...
What a sweet story! Marley is the cutest little thing you could possibly imagine and her and Edward's conversations are more than adorable. Though most of the canon characters are portrayed exactly how we know them (first and foremost Emmett, Carlisle, and Esme), you might find that Charlie and Alice might take some getting used to. While Bella's father is responsible for Marley being given up for adoption, Alice apparently snuck into Jasper's heart and life only to take all of his money and run off. It remains to be seen where their stories as well as the main plot develop over the next chapters. It definitely looks very promising!
So far, Marley's Mother consists of 26 chapters and a total of 40,843 words. The story is rated M for foul language and some lemons.
