"Departures" by TheFicChick

After attending the bachelorette party of her best friend Rose in Chicago, Bella is on her way home to Seattle. Unfortunately, bad weather conditions delay her flight and force her to spend more time at the airport than planned. In search for a place to sit, she meets U.S. marine Edward Cullen, who is waiting for his flight to New York. The two hit it off immediately and the eight hours they spend together until Edward has to leave, are packed with lots of flirting and humor!
TheFicChick released her first Twilight fanfiction in October 2012, really I kid you not! It's so hard to believe that she hasn't been doing this for ages because her depiction of the characters is spot-on and her writing style impeccable! Although Bella and Edward don't see each other for a good part of the story, Departures doesn't lack romantic gestures, fluffy moments, and sexual innuendo! And once, Edward comes home these two really use their pent-up energy! Angst-free.
