19th century England: 17-year-old Isabella Swan is promised to Edward Cullen, a young and handsome doctor, who lives on Masen Green - the generously laid out estate his parents left him after their deaths. And although Bella is far from happy about the arrangement, she understands that it is a necessary undertaking that will secure her and her mother's future. And once she lays eyes on Mr. Cullen himself, the idea of spending the rest of her life with him suddenly doesn't sound so horrible anymore.

I'm usually not a fan of historic fanfictions, but this one is just so wonderfully written I couldn't not read it. The language, customs, and living conditions are authentically described (as far as I can tell) and the plot as well as the setting will probably remind you a lot of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. If you like these kinds of stories and enjoyed watching Rob in Bel Ami, this one shot will be very entertaining!
