Bella Swan is sent to live in Forks with the Cullen family after both her parents died in an accident. She and their only son, Edward, hit it off right away; however, their relationship is far from being the typical boy-meets-girl romance. Their relationship starts off as purely sexual and slowly develops into something deeper. They start sharing each other's secrets - secrets that neither of them wants out in the open. Yet one day, after being put under pressure by his abusive father, Edward shares Bella's darkest moments with him, ruining his relationship with the brown-eyed woman in the progress. Hurt and ashamed, Bella decides to leave Forks immediately - taking something of Edward's with her...

Leaving the man she loves behind is one of the hardest things Bella has ever done, especially since she is pregnant. But as she sees no other way, she moves away from Washington state, accompanied by her friend's uncle, Jasper. For four years, Bella doesn't hear a word from Edward and, apart from one letter she sent just after their son's birth, she herself never tries to get in contact with him. However, one day, she receives an email from her former love and the two start rekindling their relationship. Edward moves to Sterling, Alaska - Bella's new home - and begins to learn what it means to be a father.

Close Your Eyes is not the first CaraNo fanfiction I've read yet this drama, angst, and romance-filled story is not only absolutely heartbreaking but one of the best fanfics she's ever come up with. Close Your Eyes has little to no grammatical errors and is beautifully written. It's a slow burn and definitely an emotional roller coaster; in fact, I'll advise you not to read the story without having a box of tissues by your side. It is so easy to get lost in the fanfic as you go through the same pain and happiness Edward and Bella feel. I couldn't put it down. It's such a captivating story that is written from both characters' points of view and that draws you in to the point where it's hard to put it down until the end. You should definitely check it out!

Close Your Eyes consists of 29 chapters and 137,122 words. It is rated MA for physical and emotional abuse, drug use, sexual content, and language.
