Bella Swan is a hardworking young woman who struggles to provide for herself and her two siblings after her parents' death. The oldest child in the family, she already had to take over the heavy responsibility at a very young age and despite the many years that have passed, still struggles to make ends meet today. She has three different jobs each day and still makes just enough to go by. Bella worries about not being able to properly care about her two younger siblings, whom she puts before everything and everyone else. Whether she is hungry or not doesn't matter to the young woman; what does matter is that she can feed her brother and sister and save some money for their college education. As a result, Bella's lack of nutrition and proper education have made her become thin and unable to write and read. That said, she can only take menial jobs, one of them being a janitor of the University of Washington. That's where she runs into Professor Edward Cullen, who is yelling more often than not (though not always at her), causing her to be nervous.
Edward is a rich and intelligent young man, who has been teaching at UW for a very long time now. However, he has absolutely no patience for failing students and his respect for the maintenance staff is mediocre at best. Furthermore, after his biological mother left him at an early age, Edward developed a certain kind of hatred for women. He considers them to be liars, ready to betray him and others the moment they see their chance. He fulfills his desire to be the dominant and take over control by regularly using an escort service and engaging in rather rough sexual activities. However, his view on women changes the more he learns about Bella. When Edward and Bella meet for the first time he takes his foul mood out on the young girl. Yet as time goes by and the two run into each other more often, he realizes that Bella intrigues him, most probably because she seems to put other people's needs before her own - an act so selfless that Edward feels drawn to her. After finding out about her horrible situation, he decides to hire her at his personal restaurant - remember, he's rich - as well as his personal cook at his home. Although hesitant at first, Bella cannot refuse an (well-paid) offer like that. Soon, Edward and Bella start developing feelings for each other and become very close. They begin sharing their pasts with each other, realizing that they both have something to fight for. Will the two be able to fall in love or will reality be in the way?

His Cimmerian View is a great story and I find myself wanting to read it over and over again! The story has received tremendous popularity within the Twilight fandom, yet there are still many people out there who have not read - I hope my review will change that! They characters are extremely OOC, especially Bella, but you will fall in love with her and the others regardless. WeeKittyAndTAT has created a very realistic story line and readers get hooked from the very first chapter. The fact that the story has both Edward's perspective allows you to understand his motivations and actions a lot better - which makes the flow of the story really good. Personally, Bella's life is something that I am able to emotionally connect with, even though I (thankfully) didn't have to go through her plight. The fanfiction will definitely grab your full attention - I promise, it isn't anything like you have read before. Oh, and don't hesitate to read this story just because Bella is an illiterate; trust me, although she can't read and write, she can speak and that is all she needs to fall in love with Edward (and make him fall for her). Besides, who says she is not going to learn language while she's with Edward ;)? A WONDERFUL story that is a must read! Maid-ella and Rich-ward ROCK!
