Bella Swan's life isn't great at all. After her mother left the family, her father Charlie has turned for the worst and has gotten abusive. However, Bella never complains and does exactly what she is ordered to do by 'dearest daddy', hoping that her father is only going through a 'phase' he might soon overcome. But just when she thinks that her life can't get any worse, she is taken by two strangers one unfortunate day and before she can even comprehend who they are, she feels a sharp sting on her neck that causes her to lose consciousness. When she finally comes to, she manages to overhear a conversation and learns that she is meant to be brought right in the middle of a human trafficking business - something that most definitely means endless physical torture and could eventually cost her her life. Lucky for Bella, Edward Cullen - the youngest heir of the Cullen trafficking business - 'buys' her and claims her as his. Although Bella is completely terrified by her surroundings, she is eventually able to trust Edward as he doesn't turn out to be like all the others. In fact, he vows to not hurt her in any way and keep her safe. Furthermore, the fact that her father doesn't even so much as bother to file a missing report for his daughter, destroys Bella's last hope that he will ever come around. But will she survive in such a cruel world with only one man she can truly trust? Will Edward be able to save her from his harsh reality?

Vindicated is a very unique story with a twisted plot-line. From the fic's very first sentence I was hooked, especially due to Bella's horrible life and the weight she carries on her shoulders. Being in a household where someone is violent is never easy to live with, yet JacklynnFrost portrays her as being very mature despite the circumstances and the reader is able to connect with her really well. The events of the fanfic take an unexpected turn when Bella is eventually kidnapped, even more so because she was taken by a mob family that earns its living with human trafficking. And though Bella is extremely fearful of the scene that is unfolding in front of her eyes, she is able to trust Edward (albeit after much convincing from his side) and soon realizes that he might be one of the few men out of his ridiculously dangerous family who is actually good; one who does not want to be part of this whole mess. I definitely think this story should be given a try! With great characters and a wonderful plot, it will most likely give you readers out there a very different side of Mobward! 

Vindicated consists of 23 chapters and a total of 138,013 words. The story is rated M for brief descriptions of abuse, language, and sexual activities.
