When Edward Cullen finally graduates from High School he is an emotional wreck: while being thrilled to get rid of his rude and insulting class mates, his heart is breaking when he leaves the love of his life behind. Bella Swan was the only person ignoring Edward's geeky-like appearance and admiring the person within, yet lack of courage and unfavorable circumstances prevent Edward from confessing his feelings.
Now, six-and-a-half years later, Edward and Bella's life has changed massively. Edward grew into a handsome womanizer, who successfully runs one of the hottest night clubs in Seattle. Bella finds herself trapped in a loveless relationship and seems unable to make a living of being an artist. When the two meet in Edward's club, the old sparks and feelings immediately return, yet both think, the other person is just not interested...
pattyrose is an amazingly talented author, whose stories are always entertaining and engaging! If We Ever Meet Again is completely written out of Edward's perspective. At first, the reader gets an insight into his less than fun high school life and later, he watches him struggle to fight for what he wants and needs the most. Furthermore, the characters of Edward and Bella are very well portrayed and likeable (though both are far from being free of flaws). The reader feels especially interested in finding out Bella's reasons for staying with Mike although she doesn't harbor any romantic feelings. However, these reasons are only gradually revealed which means that it's incredibly hard to stop reading!
