Bella Swan is everything but a fan of sports, quite opposite to her roommate Angela. Yet somehow, she finds herself sitting on the bleachers of the AT&T park and watching the teams' players warm up. When she spots Edward Cullen, first baseman of the San Francisco Giants, Bella just can't seem to take her eyes off of him. After the game, Angela drags her to where the players sign autographs for the fans and that's when it happens: a foul baseball flies directly towards Bella and would have collided with her head were it not for the fast reflexes of Mr. Edward Cullen himself.

Flabbergasted, Bella let's Angela convince her to go to a nearby pub, where, of course, some of the Giants' players celebrate their latest victory. Before she knows it, Edward joins Bella at the bar and gives her his baseball glove - for foul ball protection. The two start talking and all of a sudden, things are getting really hot...

Foul Territory is one of the few sport-related stories I have saved on my computer. Up until then no hockeyward, footballward, or swimmerward could really convince me, but rinabina's baseballward did the job! Edward's life as a major league baseball player is very well described and in no way glamorized. Once he and Bella hit it off Edward's busy schedule rarely allows them to spend more than three days with each other - which leads to some drama and complications!

Foul Territory consists of 27 chapters and a total of 126,236 words. The story is rated M for mature content.
